Greyed out too. They were blown by wind, effect dependant. As for the new glow effect, I saw it two times, but I have this little effect bug too: I STILL (first time in SF2:V) have the strange stutter using Advanced Shaders, which makes it not so playable

Panama, Indeed, even some of the SimHQ formerly very enthusiastic members are turning away from ROF. I think it's the unfinished release mixed with Neoqb completely not understanding of the simmers expectations that will sadly cause ROF to fall in few months. I run this sim once a while, and such wish them success in providing us with polished finished top quality product, but they're doing everything to prevent it. The updates (BTW I hate forced updates, bad memories from Red Orchestra and Steam) are revolving around new planes only. There was no single update to the core. No reqested MP fixes, not a single SP fix, none. And as more and more former ROF enthusiasts declare they won't buy any new planes anymore, Neoqb may end up simply not having founds for critical service patches.

There's new update for ROF. Adding Sop. Dolphin and Pfalz D.XII (both ugly and tough) aswell as few fixes. Nothing really new in this forced 200mb+ update, the only thing I noticed is the framerates went up a little bit on my system.

It was Ripley, Ash, Lambert, the story, that made me thinking about morality, the importance of choices, the sacrifice, the pain. I was ten years old. Alien was pure mindf**k for me. Next day I spend all of my time in school drawing in my book what I saw on that VHS. Ten years later I was buying every Giger's albums I could find, mature enough to understand the sexual overtones, the design of alien, what happened to Lambert after Parker's death. IMUHO it's Camel also try Spad with 37mm cannon if you have sharp eye and nerves of steel (the latter work better deployed against Gothas than Albs ya know )

Jet_spud, as for the missing engine sound, make sure to copy the content of the Sounds folder from the aircraft package to your First Eagles/Sounds/ folder (of course if it's included, not allways the sounds are included with aircraft download) The updated scenery may reduce your fps somehow (scene/mission dependant) but if you run now at stable 30-40+ try adding it

do not underestimate OFF they did amazing things with the engine; yes it's still CFS3 but the changes are mile long, it's just that the feel of my plane is better done in FE. OT: as for CFS3 try ETO 1.2 expansion, more fun than MAW

Thomas, All your points are valid, and I agree 100%. I don't fly MP, never intended to do so (last time around 1998) but in SP I allways turn the icons/aircraft indicators off if it's possible. The only problem, not on this forum, but other ones, are those "run away noob" snobs pretending the full hardcore mode is the only right way to fly. We have real life pilots here, who like "lite" sims like First Eagles, because of the fun factor. ROF with shipping costed me 54 bucks. And for that price I'd like to have some playability from single player campaign, even maybe receive a medal at it's progress. But I run ROF for "Russian Rulette" and 3rd party quick mission generator flights now, if ever. It's still a game. Simulators costs hundreds of thousands in RL.

Hello guys, Very nice "little" package! Tested it briefly yesterday, so far looks good. Great to have all the best of the best mods in one download. The only thing I'd like to make clear -included trees graphics were created by Bananimal, redo of my work. He resized originals from Green Hell 2, that's why the trees float few feet over ground. Also please note that the various [alphaobjectmaterial] settings from my readme for GH2 were adjustments for WoV, and there are some significant rendering changes in SF2V, including new shaders; using the old ones won't guarantee described visual results, be cautious with these settings.

I'd rate solid 4* Dude, soo many times I started the ROF launcher, checked for updates, and then cancelled. Spot on, Tamper. There is no room for potential there IMO. From "Wings of Honour" interview with NeoQb, they're already thinking about modern sim. Seems the Devs already abandoned this project, just releasing those extra planes, which itself isn't that bad idea. *Where using my own rating system "Strike Fighters 2" series would have 7, "Whirlwind of Vietnam" 2 and "Il2:1946" strong 8.
