An indigenous Indian fighter jet crashed during the Dubai Airshow in the United Arab Emirates on Friday, killing its pilot, said a statement by the Indian Air Force (IAF). “An IAF Tejas aircraft met with an accident during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show today. The pilot sustained fatal injuries in the accident,” said the IAF in a statement. “Deeply” regretting the loss of life, it said, the IAF “stands firmly with the bereaved family in this time of grief.” The IAF will “ascertain the cause of the accident,” the statement added. Earlier, videos on social media showed the single-seater jet crashing down at the Dubai Airshow, billowing out huge amounts of smoke. According to Indian broadcaster NDTV, the crash occurred at around 2.10 pm local time (1210GMT) before thick smoke engulfed the site at Al Maktoum International Airport. The aircraft is developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and the incident at Dubai Airshow marks the second crash involving a Tejas aircraft in less than two years, said the report. Last year in March, a Tejas fighter crashed in India's western state of Rajasthan – “the first such accident in the aircraft's 23-year history since its maiden test flight in 2001,” while the pilot had ejected safely, it added. Martyr's Day in Kuwait is commemorated annually on the 2nd of August. This significant occasion is dedicated to honoring and remembering the brave individuals who sacrificed their lives in the defense of their nation during the invasion of Kuwait in 1990.

Yes, they are. They just needed something fast to update their Air Force with something they could get their hands on (due to the fast changes in the region) within months from Qatar and Oman, and the remaining will come from the UK. This is all until they get their 5th generation TAI Kaan in service.

Turkey has reached a deal with the UK government to for the purchase of 20 Eurofighter Typhoon tactical jets. The £5.4 billion ($7.2 billion) agreement was announced on 27 October by UK manufacturer BAE Systems, which will provide major airframe components and complete final assembly of the Typhoon fighters. Once fielded, the Turkish air force will become the 10th operator of the twin-engined delta-wing fighter, joining partner nations Germany, Spain, Italy, and the UK, plus export customers Austria, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. “Turkey’s procurement of Typhoon marks the start of a new chapter in our longstanding relationship with this important NATO ally and reinforces the outstanding operational support the aircraft continues to deliver across Europe and the Middle East as a fundamental pillar of defence and security,” says BAE’s chief executive Charles Woodburn. Also President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also confirmed that they would acquire some used fighter jets of the same model from Qatar and Oman as a quick solution to enhance the air force's capabilities.

If I want to make a mod for this long-ago game, is it still appropriate?

I think this is a good solution.

The problem, sometimes, isn't the money; people just like to get anything for free, and they will do anything to go around the rules. Thinking they are smart, but in the long run, they are hurting the majority. With that, they are leaving no other option for the site owner, as he will not be able to pay for the experience of keeping the site, and everyone will lose. I myself did what @daddyairplanes suggested and downloaded everything I needed.

I got it working; that is a nice feature.

The free subscription was a good thing, really. When I saw it, I said to myself, "This is it. Members who can't afford paying or can't [for] any reason, this is their ticket home." But as always, there are some that don't think of others except themselves and will do anything because they are greedy. Thank you for trying Erik
