  1. This is amazing, excellent! I 'd suggest to do a repaint of the F-106A cockpit to bring it up to stock TW standards - now as it is the textures still look as stock SFP1 standard from 2006...also the polygon of the radar scope should be made a real circle at last...I am making this suggestion because as we have seen with the F-89 cockpit you really did a marvelous job, so you can be really good working on textures.
  2. I am really sorry I hope that he recovers, I am not asking anything from him, to be honest I have no idea who is the person who created this pilot LOD.
  3. I plan to rework the veltro's F-102A too. Actually I had made a few years ago a reworked version that also remained in my folder, however this needs an update with the latest skins and some other minor improvements that I did for the RAZBAM's but I didn't bother for the veltro's. Be aware that Veltro's is a case X version. Now as it is now, it's almost perfect. Whatever improvements you can do in the cockpit/avionics, they are welcome. My only issue as it is now are the attachment angle of the SUU-11s. Also another problem is the pilot.LOD if someone can modify the LOD to be correct for protruding visors like the ones that existed between the period '55 - '65 and then from '85 onwards.
  4. View File F-102A RAZBAM pack v1.0 YOU NEED RAZBAM F-102A FOR USING THIS PACK ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had this reworked F-102A in my HD for a long time. I have combined Paulopanz 's skinpack in RAZBAM with my own improvements. I made a complete rework of the performance specs, engine data, cockpit and avionic mods, new pilots, and ravenclaw weapons with completely new loadouts. There is also - a Vietnam specific version that can fire Air to Ground AIM-4s, converted by me, and SUU-11 pods. - a HAF specific version which is not much more than deleted AIM-26 capability in case X aircraft and a new pilot. Credits must really go to - RAZBAM - Paulopanz - Ravenclaw Known issues - the SUU-11 pods are not placed correctly. I didn't have time to fix it. I hope someone will fix them. EDIT: 1) About the weapons: - For some reason I have Ravenclaw's AIM-4E but not the AIM-4F and AIM-4G. If someone has them, please notify me to include them in the pack. - This is the first actual use of Ravenclaw's AIM-26s. I was really surprised to realize that the AIM-26s were actually used only in the updated F-102s. It is weird that the AIM-26s were not used in the F-101Bs and the F-106s - I have included the AIM-4F also. I cannot remember exactly, but the AIM-4F was actually carried by the F-102A, I am not sure if it was certified for actual combat use or only for testing (F-102s were used as development planes for the F-106). My final conclusion is that the AIM-4Fs were not issued into operational service with the F-102As simply because they were not enough AIM-4E/F/Gs made, barely enough for the F-106A alone. 2) I have not included a READ ME file, which I think I will do in the future. 3) a possible update would fix the SUU-11 issue plus improved avionics, if someone has some suggestions for further improvements please PM me.
  6. I checked the F-89s first impressions are excellent
  7. Hello, I did some work myself for the F-102s looong time ago which I never released it and afterwards I forgot about it. It was as complete as it could had been....avionics, performance specs, everything... Also, please check this all this work is inside dragon's packs, I first presented avionics rework for the F-8s back in 2016.

  14. [Fictional] Panavia Tornado GR.1H for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2

Thank you for this, I am going write the real story behind Tornados in HAF service, which is very different. The Tornado IDS was in the shortlist that the HAF gave to the ministry of defense in 1982. The other three were the Mirage 2000, F-16C and F/A-18A. Panavia offered EAB (Hellenic Aerospace Industries) to be the fourth partner with a very small percentage (max 5%) if the government would order min 40 Tornado IDS and this was stated in the Defendory 1982 in Piraeus. Inside HAF the Tornado IDS had its own supporters, as all the other three contenders. It was obvious that it was the only plane of the four with good enough combat radius to be able to protect Cyprus, as well as the best against naval targets. The possibility that a deal would be combined with a generous second - hand acquisition of many F-104Gs of the Luftwaffe was a big plus too, since the Germans had their planes very well maintained (in contrast with e.g. the Belgians) and Turkey was very eager to get as many of these planes as possible, which was a big issue at the time. Most of all, the possibility of being together with the major players (except France) of the European Aerospace Industry was its main asset. In HAF service they would almost certainly had been based in Larisa, which was (still is...) the most central and better protected air base in the country, replacing the A-7Hs of the 345 and 347 squadrons, which in their turn they would replace either F-104Gs or F-5As. At the end the Tornado IDS of the first of four to be eliminated in the selection process. A major reason counted against it - it was very obvious that its air to air capabilities were very limited and it was a pure strike aircraft. The development problems of the ADV highlighted the bomber nature of the Tornado - it was obvious that in a possible war in central Europe a Tornado armed with AIM-9s may had a chance against Warsaw pact MiG-21 and MiG-23, but they wouldn't stand a chance against F-16s. Other reasons were the external only ECMs (HAF never used external ECM pods) and the bad performance in high alt, where in the environment of the Aegean the "fast and high" rule reigns.
