    2. Brightened HUD for Nesher (stock WOI version)

      This is a simple repaint of Nesher's HUD gunsights and heading scale. For me original is a bit too dark. I made it slightly brighter and more yellow than it was.

    5. F-4ES Super Phantom II

      F-4ES Super Phantom II
      This is a representation of the Super Phantom being worked on at the end of the Phantom era. It was an attempt to extend the life of this jet, but was scrapped because of the F-14 Tomcat becoming operational.

      ======================

      1. This mod is an addon jet, known as the F-4ES. I used Jennifer's F-4E IDF and Marc Silva's F-4E 2000 data files, adding some of the latest mods such as open canopy and landing lights.

      2. NationName is changed back to USAF.

      3. Chaff/Flares/Jammer added. Note that F-4Es delivered to Israel before the Yom Kippur War did not have countermeasures installed. During the War, replacement F-4Es from US stocks came with their ECM equipment. Some IDF Phantoms were also upgraded during the conflict.

      4. The skin the base USAF camo skin is the stock SFP1 skin. It takes any F-4E skin.

      5. Canopy fix by "The Wrench".

      6. Uprated J79-GE-10B engines, which also featured improvements to eliminate the tendency of the J79 to leave behind a dirty smoke trail, which had proven a liability in combat.

      7. Loading and Loadout screens were done by Doghouse.

      8. The Loadout file is the one done by SuperCharger and Doghouse as the coop mod used in multiplay. It uses stock weapons and is totally Multiplay safe.
      However, this addon jet is not unless the other players have it as well.

      9: The landing lights mod by dfang and Russo has been included and is already installed.

      10: New radar includes a terrain avoidance radar as well.

      11 This aircraft takes a little longer to load up in the game. Be patient, it's well worth the extra few seconds.

      12 Please don't credit me with this aircraft. I've done nothing but to have taken all the various mods and work of others, put it all together and repackaged the product. If you want to credit anyone, credit those I've mentioned above. And to those of you who I've neglected to mention, please accept my apologies, it wasn't intentional. Also, anyone wanting to mod this work further go right ahead. Don't bother asking permission because it's already given. I give this jet to the SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI cmmunity to play with and have fun, it now belongs to you.

    7. Attrition War 67-73 VERSION 1.1

      *Version 1.1*
      This update lowers the intensity level from Version 1.0. Only enemy squadrons located nearest the border will be assigned missions. Supply has also been reduced for friendly and enemy squadrons. As a result, fewer enemy aircraft should appear in the air, better reflecting the limited nature of the historical conflict. Make no mistake, occasionally the campaign engine will generate large aerial engagements; this is historical, as well.

      Some base assignments have also been altered to better reflect historical positioning. In particular, IAF 101 Squadron has been moved to Bir Gafgafa on the Sinai Peninsula. The IAF maintained a Mirage detachment there throughout the Attrition War period; expect plenty of action along the Suez Canal.

      *The Campaign*
      This campaign depicts the situation in the Middle East as it stood between June 1967 and October 1973. Based on the stock WOI Yom Kippur campaign, it begins in July 1967 and ends in September 1973. When combined with “War for the Water” and “Golan Stalemate,” the player can begin in 1963 and fly a continuous nineteen-year IAF career.

      There will be no all-out air offensive; this is a long, limited conflict. Ground offensive has been disabled, so borders remain static. Supply is minimal, restricting the number of aircraft in the sky. Mission mix includes routine patrols punctuated by occasional strike missions into enemy territory. You may fly a maximum of fifty missions, roughly one every forty-five days.

      IAF fighter and strike squadrons start out with their historical aircraft, entering the campaign at the time they were activated. Some squadrons will upgrade both their livery and their aircraft type during the course of the campaign.

      The Soviets also make appearances in 1970 and 1971.

    8. Golan Stalemate 74-82 Version 1.1

      *The Campaign*
      This campaign depicts rising tensions between Israel and Syria from 1974 through 1982. Based on the stock WOI Lebanon War campaign, it begins in April 1974 and ends in May 1982. Played in sequence with the stock WOI campaigns, “Golan Stalemate” allows for a continuous career from the start of the Yom Kippur War to the end of the Lebanon War. When combined with “Attrition War” and "War for the Water," the player can begin in 1963 and fly a continuous nineteen-year IAF career.

      There will be no all-out air offensive; “Golan Stalemate” is a long, limited conflict. You will face Syrian aircraft in and around the Golan Heights and Lebanon. Ground offensive has been disabled, so borders remain static. Supply is minimal, restricting the number of aircraft in the sky. Mission mix includes routine patrols punctuated by occasional strike missions into enemy territory. You may fly a maximum of thirty-six missions, roughly one every ninety days.

      ITS only a Beta vers. IT dont have a pit.

      I have changed the ini's so all you need is to download the UH-34 Seabat and Copy/paste the Cockpit folder and the UH-34_COCKPIT.ini
      from that chopper. REMEMBER both files and dont remame the ini.

      Also install the weapons that came with UH-34 Seabat and you have a nice armed UH-1H.

    11. War for the Waters 63-67 VERSION 1.1

      *The Campaign*
      This campaign depicts intermittent border clashes that flared between Israel, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt from 1963 through 1967. These disputes began with disagreements over water rights in the region, slowly escalating into the Six Day War. Based on the stock WOI Six Day War campaign, “War for the Water” begins in August 1963 and ends in May 1967.

      Think of this campaign as a short prelude to the Six Day War. There will be no all-out air offensive; “War for the Water” is a limited conflict. You will face Syrian and Jordanian aircraft in and around the Golan Heights. There might be encounters with Egyptian aircraft near the Sinai Peninsula, as well. Ground offensive has been disabled, so borders remain static. Supply is minimal, restricting the number of aircraft in the sky.

      Mission mix includes routine patrols punctuated by occasional armed recon missions into enemy territory. You may fly a maximum of twelve missions, roughly one every hundred and twenty days. Played in sequence with the stock WOI campaigns, and combined with “Attrition War” and “Golan Stalemate,” the player can begin in 1963 and fly a continuous nineteen-year IAF career.

      This is from the Su-27 readme:

      About the cockpit: A great work was made by Moonjumper to model russian avionics. It's the
      best that could be done at the moment.
      Concerning the radar, The SU-27 has a radar display which projects onto the HUD. It is not
      possible to model this for now due to the game engine limitation ;).

    14. WOI - Mainscreen - 1680x1050

      Alternative mainscreen for Wings over Israel
      1680x1050 Widescreen Edition
      (includes template)

      TO INSTALL MAINSCREEN
      (1) extract all files
      (2) copy the files in the \MENU folder to the \MENU folder in your Wings over Israel folder

      TEMPLATE
      The \TEMPLATE folder contains a file named mainscreen_template.png, which you can use to make your own mainscreens compatible with the .INI file in this package. This allows you to change the main image easily. Open the .png file in a image editing program capable of using layers and simply place your image in a layer below the .png image. It will show through the transparent centre area. Save as mainscreen.bmp (format: 24bit bitmap file).

      Also included is a .png file with the WOI logo used in the file, a template file without the menu text, and the menu in normal and active state.

      When resizing for a different resolution, in MENUSYSTEM.INI, change the lines indicated below to the desired resolution.

      [MenuSystem]
      StartMenu=MainScreen
      Width=1680 <====
      Height=1050 <====
      ColorDepth=16
      TextFilename=MenuText.str
      TimeDateTextFilename=TimeDate.str
      MenuDataFilename=
      FadeTime=0.25
      WaitMouseCursor=WaitAnimation

      Note that you will have to change the position of the menu buttons in MAINSCREEN.INI to account for their changed location.

    15. F-110A 'Wraith' Package

      F-110A "Wraith" Mod Pak for SF/WoV/WoE

      A "What If..." Cold War Aircraft

      First of all, I have to extend a great deal of thanks to BadFrank from the CombatAce message boards, as this entire thing was his idea!! He's also the person that found the mesh names for the rear canopy for me to get the decal on (it's also his decal, I just repainted it).

      What we have here is a mod of the F-4B creating a single-seat version of the Phantom. This version is designed for US Air Force use, as a long-range missile armed interceptor, along the lines of the F-102, F-106 and even it's older brother, the F-101A Voodoo. This aircraft has NO air-to-ground capabilities, in keeping with it's role as a continential air defense interceptor.
      A gun pod (SUU-16) can be loaded as they become available (later service year dates)

      All items used, excepting the new weapons, are stock 3rd Wire, and are readily available in each of the varying versions of the game. It makes use of stock, albeit renamed skin files, some of which have been repainted by me. I've included them in the package, as it's easier than having the end user transfer and rename files. And again, as they're all stock items, they exist in all versions of the game. As should all the serial decals as well.

      You'll be adding a couple of new 'weapons', a modified Scooter hump and a rebuild of my 'hack job' F-104 Recon Pod, now modified/renamed/tweeked for use on the Phantom.

      Full, detailed instrustions on all facets of installation are in the enclosed readme, along with full credits for folks who helped out. -- so PLEASE read the cursed thing!!! It'll make your life easier, I promise you!

      Enjoy!

      This is a major update and extension of my "Enhanced Explosions" effects pack.

      If you've been using original Enhanced Explosions, you know what to expect -Hollywood style cinematic explosions, created to give TK's sims
      a blast. Also I still enjoy old "Jane's ATF" very much, and I missed some of it's spectacular fire in the sky lately.

      New stuff included is mostly about ground strikes and various air2ground weapons effects.

    21. Modern Range and Red Range Upgrade

      Modern Range and Red Range Targets Upgrade

      This little package will update the Modern Range and Red Range with the addition of more target areas, a new movement ini for practice Armed Recon missions, and general tweeks to some of the destroyed effects. Somehow, it seems to have either gotten lost, or somebody never did upload it......

      Included is the Factory Place, Truck Depot, and the Rail Yard. The 'ship target', as seen in my WW2 upgrades, has been switched over to use the stock 'Cargo Ship'.

      Remember -- as there is no ocean on this map, there are NO anti-shipping missions. Also remember, since there are 2 Ranges (one for each side), you =CANNOT= fly a Western/US/NATO aircraft on the Red Range. Just as you =CANNOT= fly a Soviet/WarPac or other 'enemy' classed aircraft on the Range. The game engine WILL crash out with a 'singlemission.dll' fault. So, make sure you have BOTH terrains installed.

      This mod works in SF, WoV, WoE. It -should- work in WoI with the correct terrain cat pointer; this has NOT been tested, and is at present NOT supported.

      Please see the enclosed readme for relatively simple install instructions.

      Happy Practicing!!!

    24. Strike Fighters Briefing Pack

      Strike Fighters Briefing Pack Readme

      For some reason the creators of many of the third party terrains that have been released have omitted to include a briefing.ini file with the terrain or have included a blank document. What this means is that when you click on the briefing tab in the mission setup area you will get a black screen and a CTD, which kind of ruins the atmosphere when you're getting pumped up to go out there to defend the free world against the rampaging communist/Nazi etc hordes.

      Here is a collection of briefing.ini files for most of the terrains out there that have this problem with what I hope is some appropriate text to get you in the mood for your mission. Feel free to edit them to suit your needs.

      I've also included English briefing.ini files for Gepard's Israel and Suez terrains as the originals are in German.

      List of briefings included:

      AE - Madagascar terrain
      AmericaNW - American North West terrain
      ANWgreen - American North West terrain (Green)
      ANWwinter - American North West terrain (Winter)
      DS - Desert Storm terrain
      IR - Iran Iraq terrain
      Israel 2 - Israel v2 terrain
      Israel - Israel terrain
      Kosovo - Kosovo terrain
      libya - Libya terrain
      LibyaWW2 - WW2 Libya terrain
      Malvinas - Malvinas terrain
      mideast - Middle East terrain
      scal - Southern California (Top Gun) terrain
      SE - South East USA terrain
      Suez - Suez terrain
      SW - South West USA (Red Flag) terrain
      tiawan - Taiwan terrain (the USAFMTL version)

      Ibstallation is simple - just extract the briefing you want to the appropriate terrain's folder, which you will already have installed within your Strike Fighters, WOV or WOE Terrain folder. The only other thing you may need to do is to check inside the individual terrain's folder in the .ini file to make sure that the line

      BriefingText=

      includes the name of the briefing.ini file. For example, in my Kosovo terrain folder the kosovo.ini file contains the line

      BriefingText=Kosovo_briefing.INI

      The only terrains that I know you will have to edit are USAFMTL's mideast terrain (which points to the original desert_briefing.ini) and Wrench's WW2Libya (which points to the libya_briefing.ini). All of the rest should work just fine.

      Thanks to TK for SF, WOV, WOE, FE and who knows what else, and of course to the creators of all of these fine terrains for enhancing this great game of ours.

      Have fun, and good hunting...
