MI-24 Sound

It is the same file but has been adjusted in WinXP Sound Recorder - used effects option to slow sound speed by 100%.

You can use the Sound Recorder to enhance any sound file to make it louder, meaner - try adding echo to afterburners.

Replacement sounds for the GAU-8 cannon
Replacement sounds for GAU-8 Avenger as used by the stock WOE or Wpnssgt A-10A ver 2.0

Contains: Choice of 2 different GAU-8 firing sounds, a soundlist.ini and this readme.
Instructions:
1. Select either one of the sound files supplied and make sure to name it 'Avenger'.
2. Put the SOUNDLIST.INI file inside the flight folder.
3. Use the thirdwire gun editor and edit the sound name for the GAU-8 30mm from 'Vulcan' to 'Avenger' and you're done. (Dont forget to set the compatibility mode for the editor if you're on Win XP)

Be sure to grab bunyap's latest weapons pack and wpnssgt's latest A-10 and the gau8fire effects for improved visuals.

Installation

IMPORTANT: It is highly recommended that you apply this package to a clean installation of Wings Over Europe. Some existing files will be overwritten during the install process! Also, make certain that the 8/30 patch for WOE is installed BEFORE you install NATO Fighters.
Unzip the archive you downloaded above and run nfsetup.exe. You will be prompted for the location to install NATO Fighters. MAKE SURE that this is your clean WOE installation. If you install NATO Fighters over an already modded copy of WOE, it WILL break some or all of the mods.
The NATO Fighters installation is completely automatic. Once the installation is complete, you are ready to play.

Thanks for downloading Wings Over Europe: NATO Fighters! This is a collection of some of the best NATO-themed mods released over the past four years for the Strike Fighters series. I think you will find the expansion of flyable aircraft types, the addition of more allied nations, and the inclusion of numerous environment and visual mods to be a great enhancement to your copy of Wings Over Europe. All new aircraft and nations are fully integrated into the three campaigns, and no additional configuration is necessary to enjoy these enhancements after you install.
I must stress that all of the mods included in this pack are already available. This series of expansions simply brings them all together in one place, fully integrates them into the campaigns and makes installation a snap. The goal is not to include every NATO squadron, but a representative selection of units to allow players to fly for nations other than the US, Great Britain and West Germany.

This is a second version of the same skin. After uploading it the first time, I noticed some inaccuracies. Although this version isn't exact either, I think it is a much better representation of the aircraft.
History:

Formed at St. Hubert on 1 March 1953, No. 444 Squadron bore the first new number (i.e. which had no war-time predecessor) in the post-war R.C.A.F. Six months later the squadron flew its Sabres overseas on "Leapfrog 4". The squadron joined No. 4 (Fighter) Wing at Baden-Soellingen, Germany in September. Selected as one of eight squadrons of the Air Division to be re-equipped with CF-104 Starfighter aircraft for a nuclear strike role,
Installation:

You must first have the sabres_v21.zip in order to install these skins. You can download it at:
http://www.zur-tech.com/sabres4.htm
Unzip the 444.zip to your Objects/Aircraft/Canadair folder. Launch the game and choose "444 Cobra" in the Paint scheme section. Go fly!
Note: the Canadair Sabre 6 already comes with a 444 squadron paint scheme by default. You can choose which one you like best.
*These textures are 1024 x 1024. You may want to resize them to 512 x 512 to improve frame rates, especially on older computers.
**I have also included the fuel tank skin but at this time I do not know how to add it as a seperate tank. Maybe it will be included in a future weapons pack one day. If you want to use the one I have provided, backup your original Tank_f86.bmp in your / Objects / Weapons folder.( You will need the latest weapons pack) Otherwise you will have a silver tank.

As with all my skins, you must ask my to use it or modify it in anyway.

WOV Da Nang (Airfield_1) extra lights for buildings & structures

This is an update to the original posting.
Inspiration for this work came mostly from extending the excellent approach
lights mod from Sidewinder86 (See here) and also reading up on Eightlein's details on lighting various airfield structures (here). I've extended that work and applied it only to Da Nang.
Also see here for details on static/parked aircraft for Da Nang and installing the QRA sheds at the North end of the airfield.

I noticed that this mod makes heavy use of the ground object modifications I had included in my earlier 'statics' postings. For Da Nang that's fine, but, for all other fields in WOV that use Airfield_1 the lights would still appear, and that looked just plain weird. I've corrected this dependence with this update so you can have the lights only apply to one field.
The extra lights entries detailed in this mod all live in a new file called VietnamSEA_Airfield1_DaNang.ini. This file is referenced from the existing "Da Nang Air Base" entry in the VIETNAMSEA_TARGETS.INI file. Simply change this entry to read the following:

The new extra lights in this mod illuminate all of the tall buildings and structures in the airfield vicinity:
- ASR Radar dish
- QRA Sheds (internal flood lights and external anti-collision lights)
- Fuel tanks
- Ramp fuel store
- Ramp Hangars (external flood lights and anti-collision lights)
- Heli-pad for RAF Rescue SH-3
- Water tower
- Bomb dumps
- Control Tower
This mod has only been tested with WOV but with some modifications this mod can be applied to SFP1. If the layout of Airfield_1 is the same then simply changing the names accordingly will enable SFP1 to pick up the changes.

F-16 Alternative Jungle (SEA) Camoflage

For some reason including Decal001/2/5/6 in the Decal.ini file puts a faint grey line on the nose and a faint dark line under the intake. I will need to try either moving them slightly or putting them onto the skin :(

New/Refined F4 Phantom Lights

The F-4 'tomb' is one of my favorite planes and having recently seen some photos of RAF F-4s at night I thought that the previous excellent work of Eightlein and others could do with a tweak here and there.
This mod is my attempt to add or amend the current F-4 lights to match what I saw.
