    2. Jianghu class frigates

These four models represent variants of the Jianghu class frigate, including the Type 053H Jianghu-I, Type053H1 Jianghu-II, Type 053H1S Jianghu-II, and Type 053K Jiangdong, in service with the People's Liberation Army Navy.

The Jianghu series frigates were all developed from the Riga class frigates obtained from Russia, and spawned a surprising multitude of variants and subtypes. In turn, they were later developed into the larger and more modern Jiangwei class frigates.

The Jianghu-I is armed with six HY-1 Silkworm missiles in two rotating box launchers. It also carries two 100mm guns and four twin 37mm mounts for air defense.

The Jianghu-II is armed with six improved HY-2 missiles, two twin 100mm guns, and the same 37mm armament of the Jianghu-I. It has been given a more contemporary light grey paint for recognition.

At least one Jianghu class has been specially modified into the 053H1S naval fire support subtype, replacing the SSM launchers and aft island with five 50-tube rocket launchers. They have the firepower of an entire rocket artillery battery and are capable of coastal bombardment from up over 30km away.

The Jiangdong, China's first attempt at SAM-armed air defense vessel, is equipped with two twin launchers for HQ-61 missiles, plus two twin 100mm guns and four twin 37mm guns. The missiles proved to be ineffective (and the launchers apparently lack any sort of automatic reloading system), so only two of the type were built.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or constructive criticisms regarding this model, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!

    3. Ticonderoga class cruiser superpack

This package includes every variant of the Ticonderoga class Aegis cruisers, including:
      CG-47 Baseline 1 (Mk26 twin arm launcher)
      CG-52 Baseline 2 (Mk41 VLS)
CG-59 Baseline 3&4 (improved sensors and weapons)
CG-52_06 (first round of modernization refits circa 2006)
CG-52_12 (final Cruiser Conversion Program refits, starting 2012)

Naturally, all sounds, decals, weapons, ship name and number lists are included. The CG-52 and CG-59 variants are further divided into air defense and land attack versions, armed with Standard Missiles and Tomahawks respectively. Each of the air defense ships also comes with two different data.ini files: the default, which uses a true VLS weapon system (albeit one missile and one target at a time and disables the Harpoon missiles), and a data_EX.ini version, which enables multiple simultaneous engagements and is almost as deadly as its real life counterpart. Use whichever one you like, depending on if you prefer realistic visuals or realistic performance.

The Ticonderoga has always been my "flagship" project (pun intended), and so I've updated the models using everything I've learned in the year since I started modding. I've also added a small Easter Egg for those of you who want to try a helicopter takeoff from from this ship.

Note: The weapon systems, collision mesh, and decals have been updated for compatibility with SF2: North Atlantic and the March 2012 patch. If you have not installed/do not plan to install either, this model will not work properly. See the readme file for full details.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or constructive criticisms regarding this model, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!

    4. Los Angeles class attack submarine

This model represents the Los Angeles class, in service from 1976 to present. The Los Angeles is America's most widely produced nuclear attack sub, with a long service history and proven design.

This package contains two versions of the Los Angeles:
Original version (688) commissioned in 1976, armed with Harpoon missiles (deployed from its four torpedo tubes).
Improved version (688i) commissioned in 1985, using Harpoons, plus Tomahawk missiles in twelve vertical launch tubes.

Note that the initial batch of eight "Flight II" VLS-equipped subs have been grouped together with the 688i models for simplicity's sake, as any performance differences can't really be modelled in this series. If there is sufficient demand for it, I'll made separate mods for each flight.

Each version includes a full names.ini list, in case you want to use these boats in a task force, plus individual decal sets for each boat if you need to place them as single objects. SF2: North Atlantic is required for this mod as it uses some stock number decals. Please see the readme for full details, credits, and instructions for use.

    5. CG-59 Ticonderoga class Aegis cruiser

This model represents the Baseline 3 and 4 Ticonderoga class cruisers (CG-59~CG-73), in service from 1988 to present (upgrades and refits notwithstanding). This baseline of the ship is equipped with a number of upgrades, including an improved SPY-1B radar, SARTIS sensors, and missile systems.

With over 120 long-range highly accurate missiles, this vessel is by far the single most dangerous GroundObject ever released for the ThirdWire games.

Both air defense and land attack versions of the ship are included, as well as name and hull number decals for each ship of the class, plus the necessary sounds, guns, and weapons. Note: The weapon systems, collision mesh, and decals have been updated for compatibility with SF2: North Atlantic and the March 2012 patch. If you have not installed/do not plan to install either, this model will not work properly. See the readme file for full details.

    6. CG-52 Ticonderoga class Aegis cruiser

This model represents the Baseline 2 Ticonderoga class cruisers (CG-52~CG-58), in service from 1986 to present (upgrades and refits notwithstanding). These were the first vessels to be equipped with a vertical launch system (VLS), granting vastly increased capability and adaptability.

7. CG-47 Ticonderoga class Aegis cruiser

This model represents the early Baseline 1 Ticonderoga class cruisers (CG-47~CG-51), serving the US Navy from 1983 until 2005. They were the first vessels to be equipped with the Aegis combat system and the advanced SPY-1 radar.

This is my first major 3DMax project and my first model release for the Thirdwire games, now completely overhauled using everything I've learned about modding over the past year. This update gives the ship full compatibility with the SF2:NA/March 2012 patch game engine. It includes features such as working fore and aft Standard Missile launchers, new effects, optimized collision mesh, and helo deck that doesn't turn the ship unsinkable. Note that these updates may not be compatible with earlier versions of the game.

    10. Iowa class battleship update

This is a full conversion of the ID(io)T Team's Iowa class battleship for SF2:NA/April 2012. Along with the expected effects, weapons, ship names, and collisions modifications, I rearranged the entire system hierarchy which fixed a critical issue causing the ship to sink after only a single missile strike. (It's now almost as tough as the real thing.) Tomahawk launchers are also fully functional and deadlier than ever. In addition, the aft deck now supports up to two helicopters. Keep in mind that there are no catapults or arresting wires, so fly with care.

This is a complete package with all the guns, sounds, and effects. Even if you have the model already or are using the version included in DS, I humbly recommend that you try out this fully updated version.

All credit for this model goes to the ID(io)T Team. Thanks for giving us such a magnificent battleship.

    11. Nanuchka I & II class corvettes

This model represents the Nanuchka class corvette, a Cold War era missile boat used by the Soviet Union and several export customers.

Three different versions of the ship are provided:
Nanuchka I class corvette (Soviet version; classified as a frigate in game so that it can appear in Soviet task forces)
Nanuchka I class missile boat (Soviet version; classified as a patrol boat)
Nanuchka II class missile boat (export version for India, Algeria, and Libya; classified as a patrol boat)

All three versions may be installed together with no conflicts or other issues.

The Nanuchka series are quite heavily armed for their size, with a 57mm twin gun, SA-N-4 Gecko launcher, and either six SS-N-9 Siren missiles (Nanuchka I) or four SS-N-2C Styx missiles (Nanuchka II). Naturally, all of these weapons are fully functional on the models.

See the readme for full details. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or constructive criticisms regarding this model, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!

    14. CV HMS Victorious, R38 by Hinchbrooke for SF2

HMS Victorious (R38) Aircraft Carrier by Hinchbrooke

      = For SF2, Any and All =

This is the aircraft carrier HMS Victorious as she appeared "post 1950s refit" until her retirement in the late 1960s. Originally released for 1stGens way back in 2005 and subsequently "lost" in the ether. Prompted by one of the CA members into looking for it, I scrounged through all my archive CDs (dating back to 2004) and actually located it. This will give our Fleet Air Arm guys someplace new to land on!

Some very small tweeks for SF2 (mostly to the radar statments for TEWS -but as she 'retired' in 1969, that's a bit moot).
As CVs are 'unvulnerable' in-game, her defensive armament is minimal (the same 2 guns that Hinch put on way back when), and mostly for show.

Also included, just for fun, are 2 missions set on the Desert map, using my SF2 mod of Skippybing's Sea Vixen. One is a take off, the other is landing. End Users ™ can always change the aircraft and 'mission date' to fit whatever aircraft pleases you. They are edits of the stock SF2 carrier take off/landing missions, moved to a
different map and using Royal Navy equipment.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for fully detailed, easy-to-follow install instructions. Hinch's original readme is included, for historical reference purposes.
With thanks to Hinch for creating this, so long ago!

      Enjoy!

    15. Kresta II Version 1.0

      Kresta II Class Cruiser

      by

      Julhelm

This model represents the Soviet Project 1134A Kresta II class anti-submarine cruiser, which served with the Soviet and Russian Fleets from the late 1960s into the early 1990s.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kresta_II_class_cruiser

This model was designed and optimized for SF2:NA, and that means Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. At the very least it requires the latest SF2 series patch for its systems and DX10 visual effects to work properly.
To install this package, simply place the folders located inside the .ZIP archive into the mod folder of whichever SF2 title you desire the ship to appear in.

Additional work will be required on your part to ensure that the ship's TEWS RWR symbol (TopSail) is added to the RWR list of any aircraft so equipped. Instructions on how to do this, can be found on the SF2 knowledge base, courtesy of EricJ:
      http://combatace.com/topic/44441-making-a-custom-tga-for-tews-radar-warning-recievers/

The SA-N-3 model that’s included, is a high-poly version, that will replace the default Third Wire version. It does not adversely effect frame rates, and will work well on the SF2:NA Kiev model, as well.

The supplied sound effects will require editing of the soundlist.ini file in order to work.

I’ve included a modified soundlist.ini file, for those who do not have it extracted.

Warning: Be careful if you already have an existing custom soundlist.ini file, as it will be overwritten.

In that case, simply add the following lines (shown below), taking care to follow the existing numbering sequence (the soundlist.ini will reside in your flight folder). Use the supplied soundlist.ini as a guide.

      SoundFileXXX=Underway

      Known issues:

      1) The main radar antenna (Top Sail) doesn’t have a double-sided mesh, so as it rotates, you will notice that the face of the antenna loses its “grid”. This will be rectified in a later release, when the developer manages to catch a break from his busy schedule.

      = For SF2 series Games, Full 5 Merged and/or SF2NA ONLY!! =

-An addition for the Indo-Pak Mod-

*As stated above you MUST have a Full-5 Merged install with SF2:NA to gain access to several ship lods this mod requires. If you do not meet this minimum requirement, do =NOT= download this, as you'll be unable to use it.*

This package is designed for use =ONLY= in a seperate India-Pakistan Game mods folder. There is a possiblity that it WILL work in an 'all-is-everything mods folder', but this is highly discouraged. You do so at your own risk; so expect little to no support in that respect.

This package includes the work of many fine people, and they are listed in the credits. A good number have been 'nationalized' from WBS "RN Frigate Pak". A good number of others are modified

from various other sources (read: WW2) This package includes the following ships:

INS Delhi CL (ex HMS Achilles -yes, THAT one)
      INS Viraat CV
      INS Vikrant CV
      INS Talwar FF
      INS Nilgiri FF
INS Rajput DD (based on SF2NA Kashin)
INS Talwar2 DD (base on SF2NA Krivak*)

PNS Taimur DD (ex-RN "C" class)
PNS Tariq FF (Type21 from 1993 onwards)

Weapons and guns have been supplied. Radar specs have been adjusted as best as possible to SF2/NA standards.

For those not having added the 2 ship sounds, a new Soundlist.in is provided. For those wishing toadd just the sounds, and already have modified Soundlist.ini in their installs, it's a simple copy/paste of the relevant lines into your existing ini.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them! Also, the "Notes" section for more details, and of course the credits -without the hard work of these folks. this mod wouldn't be possible.

*Krivak II used; INS uses modified Krivak III, but we use what we gots*

    19. HMAS Australia R-22 (SCB-125 "What If..."

HMAS Australia R-22 (SCB-125 "What If..."
      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged Reccomended and/or SF2NA =

*Note: Full-5 Merged reccomended, but can be used in any game with access to the SCB-125 Essex CVs at the April 2012 Patch Level*

A complete 'modernization' of the RAN "What If..." aircraft carrier HMAS Australia, as first seen in/on the Darwin (Modern) terrain.

The ship has been brought fully compliant with SF2NA standards (well, after all it IS just a small repaint and ini edit!). This will give the RAN players, with the DLC A-4G (or other pre-existing variants thereof), and any "What If..." RAN birds somewhere to roost.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!
Any/All faults, mistakes, etc are mine & mine alone. I didn't write up a backstory, but you can make up your own!

Be advised of some "oddities" when playing -- in other words, don't be surprised if you see USN aircraft on the deck! It's just how the game works, now, with carriers.

      Happy Landings!

    20. French Naval Units (SI)

      French Naval Forces Pak
      =For SF2, Full-5 Merged and/or SF2:NA -ONLY!!!- =

AKA: "Faux French Naval Units", the "SI" means 'Stand-In'

*Note: You =MUST= have SF2NA installed somwhere for this mod to work, as 2 ships reference LODs that are only available with SF2NA or a Full-5 Merged install. If you don't meat this minimum requirement, do NOT download this pak, as you'll be unable to use it*

**Notex2: ALL of the vessels depicted herein are 'stand-ins' for the Real Life ™ naval vessels they depict. I've chosen to use the "best, closest shapes". In this regard, they DO have a physical approximation to the real boats.*

This pack contains 3 "Stand In" ships representing French Naval vessels:

Clemencau Class CV (uses SCB125 Essex)
Duperre Class DD (using Hinch's Cavailer)
Leygues Class DDG (using the SF2NA Spruance)

Included are sounds, and instrucitons for editing the soundlist.ini to add them. Also included is the 100mm ACAS gun.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them!
At the very least, this WILL give the DLC French Crusader and Super Etendards a home. Please accept them in the spirit intended!

      Happy Landings!

    21. SF2(NA) WW2 PTO Naval Units

      WW2 PTO Naval Units

-- Something for the PTO players --
      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (ONLY) =

*Note: in particular, these are designed for use in a WW2 PTO mods folder built =FROM= the SF2NA.exe. No others seem to have whatever coding is needed (at least in my testing) for proper CVBG formation. Be advised, it will absolutely =NOT= work in 1stGens.*

Most of these ships are mods of Hinchbrooks's or Geo's, reflagged and slightly tweeked. Some you may have already, as they've been used on several terrain mods of mine for The Pacific War ™. These will replace them.

Also included is Grinch's original Fletcher DD, that causes NO seizures in SF2/SF2NA.
I'm no Naval Archetiect, so "those that know", please make any needed corrections and upload!
When discoverable, armor values reflect Real Life ™. Names lists have been created for all.
REMINDER: if you have these ships already, you may want to back up the originals, as this pack WILL completly replace/overwrite them!!!!

REMEMBER: For the most part, these are "stand in" ships!!! and may not reflect the full capabilities of their Real Life ™ counterparts. (Or, in some cases, even look like them) Unless otherwise indicated, all ships were originally created by Hinchbrook a loooooooong time ago.

This pack contains naval units for the US Navy, Royal Navy (BPF) and Imperial Japanese Navy.

Essex Class CV (SCB-125) - by 3W; stock carrier. Yes, I know it's the wrong deck shape. This Modded data.ini allows for WW2 usage -IT HAS NO DEFENSIVE ARMAMENTS!!!-and -THAT- needs fixing!!!
Akakazie class DD - total stand in! based on Geo' Kriegsmarine DD
Nagara Class CL - mod of Hinch' Foch
Unryu Class CV - mod of HMS Eagle
Zuiho Class CV - tweeked version of Hinch's orginal
Ise class BB - from HInch
Fuso class BB - from Hinch
      Nagato Class BB - HInch
Fletcher Classs DD - Grinch's original release, with some SF2NA tweeks. Does =NOT= cause game to lock/crash. Useable in all eras.
Cleveland Class CA - "CL-83" from KAW mod, by YeYe (iirc)
Atlanta Class CL - from KAW mod, by YeYe (iirc)
      New Orleans CA (aka 'Astoria')
Enterprise6 - ???? (aka: Yorktown Class CV) from the original PTO WW2 terrains releases
Indepencence Class CVL (mod of Zuhio)
      Casablanca Class CVE (Hinchs' MAC)
      Benson class DD (USN_DD)
      New York Class (Texas)
      Nevada Class BB
      Tenessee Class BB
      HMS Victorious CV
      Renown Class BB (aka: "Repulse")
Tribal Class DD (rebuilt from Daring)
Leander/Dido class CL - rebuilt from Foch

Make sure you have the WW2 Nations ini that includes the IJN. It's available at the following URL:
      http://combatace.com/files/file/13095-ww2-nations-formations-inis/

It should be noted at this time, I am NOT a Naval Archeitect, and pretty much all these ships need SOMEBODY to go through them and add the 2ndary and Tertiary AAA batteries - expecially the Cruisers, Battleships, and stand-in Destroyers.
Included are the ships sounds wavs, and my SoundList.ini. If you have an extracted soundlist, just edit your existing one to add the 2 sounds.

It's also advisable to have the WW2 Guns pak, as it includes the Naval Artillery. It's available at the following URL:
      http://combatace.com/files/file/13268-guns-pak-for-ww2-mods-folders/
However, some new guns ARE included for the RN boats (by YeYe).

Some terrain mods that allow for CVBG usage will be released as soon as I finish testing, and making sure all the original defects (unflattened airfields, etc) are corrected.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Where possible, and if I still had them, original readmes are included.
Reminder: a lot of these vessels are really old (2004/05), and therefore do NOT have multiple main gun installations or secondary/tertiary batteries; those that do, have been jiggered into being, and =DO= need further tweeking. Due to their age, "they are as they are". Of course, if someone wants to build new ones.....<grin>

      Calm Winds, and Following Seas!
With thanks to ALL our Shipbuilders!!

    22. Admiral Kuznetzov

This is a mod/repaint of Hinchinbrooke's excellent HMS Vindictive, representing the Russian Navy's Admiral Kuznetzov.

This mod is compatible with any and all versions of SF2, merged or otherwise. It should also work in any Series 1 title, but please note this has NOT been tested.

Thanks to Hinchinbrooke, without who's mod this would not have been possible.

    24. SF2 WW2 HMS Eagle by Hinchbrooke

SF2 WW2 HMS Eagle by Hinchbrooke

-- Something for the WW2 MTO players --

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*This mod will, most likely, =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at any patch level, due to some of the modifications made to fit them into the SF2NA environment, all the features will NOT be working as designed. This mod was built/tested in an MTO-centric mods folder, built from the SF2NA exe. Your milage will vary!*

Some tweeks to Hinchbrook's HMS Eagle bring it a bit closer to full SF2NA level. As always, further work is needed, as I'm definately NOT a Naval Architect!

I've added parking slots, so you get some aircraft on deck, added a couple more AA guns. Albeit a slight 'hack job', it is quite workable. I've test flown most of the FAA birds from her, and it works pretty good.
I've not included the usual ship sounds, as you should have them already.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them.
Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
