About This File

This is the hard to get Vulcan that was exclusive to the A-Team website ,unless you were deemed suitable eventually to download after being screened .

This model is developed from MY sorce file by Capun,as I did majority of the work..(model was basically complete, except mapping etc and a few bits n pieces.

opinions?..

Anyone who wants it will get it as its basically my model anyways...

This model wouldnt have been sent if I had known the route to getting it was to be so difficult.

I make models for free and so it shall be with this one.

you will need the Vulcan package hosted here at combatace and ive included modified ini to reflect the LOD supplied.

get the VulcanB2 pack by paulopanz here...http://combatace.com/files/file/12467-avro-vulcan-b2/

3d source file by me

Further work by capun.

I may point out it was MY source file, and if I wanted to be a Bastard I could pull the permission and say remake it 100% from scratch, not using ANYTHING that contains any part of the 3dmodel I sent.

anyways enjoy.

  • Thanks 1

Glad to see I aint the only one with errr how shall we say, misconceivings ?...about Skunk works and its overly precious ideas of making various aircraft available. If Combatace can do it, so can skunkworks.....so good on ya !!!

Thank you Russ, you work is, as always, top class. I have been using this model for many years, since the original Falklands mission pack days, and it's nice to see you now being properly associated with it. All the best to you. Cheers.

Thank you very much for this.

I refuse to jump through hoops to get what is supposed to be freeware, so as soon as I see "download model from..." (you know where) I lose interest. Such as the Valiant I just spotted here. Short-lived excitement.

Should be fun to try and get a good hit with the Vulcan : )

I completely agree with JDUK. At least, here in CA people know how to do things the right way.

PD: thanks a lot, RussoUK2004.

russouk2004 thank you for making this aircraft more readily available.

For those of you who don't mind "getting under the hood", there are a number of ways to have big fun with this aircraft.

1. Try conventional bombing with 21 x 1000lb bombs from 35,000 ft - you'll need a Jeppensen Flight Computer, a calculator, and some basic physics and trigonometry.

2. Fit your Vulcan with a single 500kt nuke - e.g. grandslam modded to simulate a Yellow Sun - and bomb from 45,000ft or more.

3. Set up your system to fly bombers really high (50,000 ft plus), and then try to intercept with MiG-19, Su-9, or Su-11.

This kind of fiddling provided me with hours of fun, and some profound insights into early cold war bomber tactics. Have fun.

Thanks for this. Tried to get this from Sanother site but was locked out for good after accidentally downloading one file too many... Love the comment above about 'overly precious ideas'...so true..I would add 'control issues of a borderline sociopathic nature'...

What point are you making?...This model IS my creation or at least 99%.

Don't let Capun hold your work hostage, what I've heard that he is a bit of an arse hole and he and his minions properly see this if so so be it

Oh Craphead is more than an arsehole, he is the original hoofwanking jizzflute...........the guy needs a personality transplant, beside which although there ARE some useful models on his site, most of his shit is for SF 1 and is a friggin' mess. you may gather I dislike the guy a little.

Ah you would deny me my bile and angst ? trust me, I'm Italian so having lifelong vendettas is a "thing" but in reality, dont tell anyone I said this, but you are probably right, I should let it go , I just cant  lol..........I am actually more annoyed and saddened by the fact that this rift is present within the SF community, but unfortunately , no one will back down and be grown up enough to bury the hatchet .

im part scottish, it isnt like i dont know how to hold a grudge, and as a punk. bile and angst is kind of what i do by nature (and you can see my sig for my views on capun so it also isnt as if i dont share your feelings on him) ....its just ..i could swear that i once read a thread from a few years ago where this topic was shut down (by wrench i think) and for a good reason, im saying this for your own benefit more than anything else, its not really conductive my friend

im glad however that someone at A-Team got their head screwed on right though, its going to be nice to finally fly the V Bombers

Ah , they are used to my grumbling about Craparse on here, and as I am never really, how shall we say, explicit ....yes explicit works, well because I conform mostly to those strictures , they ignore me.......So I doubt I will get into hot water, I am sure Kev ( Wrench) would have words in the old shell like if I stepped too far off the path of righteousness.

i MUST SAY I HAD THE SAME SCREENING PROBLEM ON THIS HISTORICAL FILE AND I THOUGHT   Capun  JUST WANTED TO MUCH PERSONNEL INFORMATION TO RELEASE THE COMPLETE AIRCRAFT AND I JUST GAVE UP ON IT.

I,M Really pleased that someone went to all the handwork to complete it good on you  after all we are all in the same team Keep up the good work.
