Flanker562 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Some people are saying it's back, while so far as of like a couple days ago it was down for me, and a quick check shows it down for me.
Jimbib Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Thirdwire website is partly back up at a new url, doesn't have all the same sections as before: https://thirdwireproductions.com/index2.htm 1

Raymond2019 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Still not much progress on https://thirdwireproductions.com/index2.htm And of course still waiting on the updates for "SFMC" for the PC.
Goob113870 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 i honestly don't think Thirdwire productions is coming back online. The end of an era.
Flanker562 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 i mean so far WoE is on Steam, and I would guess that TK is moving to that sometime to better distribute his games. I mean why not? Saves money on hosting files and stuff when you got the structure to do it.

Erik Posted May 19 Posted May 19 TK clearly said he knew the site was down and was working on a resolve. He didn't say what that resolve meant which could mean retooling his existing site to run on the new domain he's using. I would not count TK or TW out until we get some kind of confirmation one way or the other. 5
Arrow Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I have local and online backups of my EXEs, the final patch, latest weapons pack and many other prefered/essential mods, so not a problem on that front. I own SF2E, SF2NA and SF2I and was looking forward to a return to Vietnam with a purchase of SF2V, but I'm having doubts now. Even if the 3rdWire webstore is brought back online, I'd be nervous about their email server being able to send me my install key. I know that's been a problem for some purchasers in the past including myself for 1 of my EXEs. I was able to resolve it with an email for which I got a manual reply, but from what I'm reading reply backs from 3rdWire are no longer happening.
59rar Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I wish the chaotic official DLC store would bring back the F-4EJ/A-4M/South African Hawker Hunter. 1
Mr_Tayto Posted Tuesday at 08:17 AM Posted Tuesday at 08:17 AM For those of us without local backups (I may have but haven't checked yet), what are the options? The game isn't officially abandonware yet, so I wouldn't download a "free"(i.e. stolen) version, mainly because I bloody paid $100 for the thing! I can provide receipts, too, PayPal and my site access code for redownloading, which obviously doesn't work now.

None so far. Unless you're in a hurry, I'd say let's wait and see what happens. If the digital store isn't restored at some point, we'll have to try contacting TK and ask him if the PC games are abandonware or not. 6
streakeagle Posted Wednesday at 10:50 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:50 PM The main Third Wire web page is back up. But the all-important store and downloads sections are not. At least TK made some progress. 2

Raymond2019 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Good to see that TK has made some progress to fix things. Just be patient I'm sure we'll get back to business soon.
