i90807065 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) Awesome, now I have a leader for my older bugs (I do this with most 1 and 2 seat variants.Like the f-16, mig-31/25,f-15. and now f-18). Great work to you all! Edited July 29, 2008 by i90807065 Quote

+EricJ Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I'm guessing you can't angle the pylons as they should be? 9 degrees offset from the fuselage. Looks good though now I wish I brought my joystick and installed WOI... Quote
+Spectre_USA Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 >Refresh< What? Uploaded a Super Bug? >refresh< Man, this is gonna be so cool! >refresh< I may have to give the USN machine a touch of class and an Air Force uniform. >refresh< Darnit, still don't see it. >refresh< Sigh. Ah, well, I reckon I can wait until I get up. It's late, so will try when it's light out... >Refresh?< Quote

kesegy Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 congrats, erwin. the bird is beautiful. i've been flying it the whole afternoon. what i also like is the fact that it's "balanced"; i mean, all aspects of the aircraft (modeling, cockpit, avionics, textures) are on the same level of quality - and that level: great. it's a top notch addition to the CA stables. topcat II Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Just got mine and it is SWEET!!! A GREAT MANY THANKS!!!!! Quote
ArturR Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Rudder brakes are not working. Can be fixed this in data.ini? Quote
rovert97 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 so far only the air brake thing is the only detail that isnt modeled correctly. maybe an inflight refueling probe, but thats just eyecandy anyway. love the bird, did an armed recon mission with a flight of 4.... loaded out all different munitions, and caused some hell on the highway. with about 4 trucks left, i got jumped by a flight of 4 SU-27's, the chinese models with that crazy flight model that makes them turn on a dime. this bird ate them for dinner without a problem. 2 gun kills and a winder kill by me, the wingman got one winder kill. +EricJ Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I've got some pictures of the airbrakes Erwin if you want me to find them and upload them. Quote
sunliner Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I just wanted to say that your Super Hornet ROCKS!! One thing, not a complaint 'cos I could never do this myself, but I noticed on the Super Hornet as well as the legacy Hornet that's been out a while, the main landing gear doesn't "droop" while in flight the way it does on the real jet. Is this just too much of a pain to model? It's a small detail, and like I said...I could not have done a better job myself. Just wondering. Thanks for giving us the F! -Mike Quote
serverandenforcer Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 For me, the pylons are fine, the landing gear is fine, but I've noticed that the canopy has it's own shadow that likes to "float" in places where it shouldn't be floating. It also seems to be connected with the airbrake animation. Don't know if anybody else had noticed that. Quote

Don't know if anybody else had noticed that. ...yes, i DID notice it. ...in WOI, the engine seems to have been re-enginerred to create shadows off of the original model, instead of having to use an .SHD shadow file... ...all you have to do is access the FA-18F.INI file, and erase the entry that says FA-18F.SHD... ...ever since WOI, the era of .SHD shadow files has drawn to a close... pushin the envelope!
