Favorite Mods, Aircraft of 2008

Recommended Posts

Are we ever going to have a community awards. I mean, we are large enough for it.

Well I am working on it, thus the subject of this thread. I got some idea rolling around in my head.

Now if I can get people to vote on just one item...

There's a lot of very good mods for the TW series in here, my personal favorites are Stary's terrain upgrades because they really gave the sim something it really needed, a better enviroment. On third party aircraft, the latest Mirgae Factory releases and the planes donde by Julhem are the ones that I like the most, being my personal favorite the TMF F-8J Crusader.

Greetings

If it wasn't for the fact that it came on this side of the ball drop I would vote for the F-29A.

Yes the mod is awesome too.

I think 2008 should be called,

"The Year it was REALLY good."

It was such an active year that it's really difficult to choose which one is the best .

Personal favourites would be (by category):

Mirage Factory Weapons Pack

The Bering Straits 1.5

F-101 B

SA-11 & -17 (Just love blowing them up)

If I have to vote for only one item... I vote for poontang...

Fine, okay... I'll stop being an asshat.

I have to give props where props are due: Mirage Factory A-7 Corsair II

...IMHO, the first mod to approach MSFS level of detail. :good:

Well Dave to tell you the truth I had no clue about what was exactly released in 2008, I had to look at DL section dates to check some stuff.

About only one item hmmm I would probably go with the Gripen....or EF2000...maybe F-35? Hmmm F-22 is also 2008...hmmm

We need more choices! :D

If you really consider plane of the year voting/contest, I suggest a list of planes released in 2008 and 5 options to choose, comments forbidden, only designations - does that sound too harsh? lol

The Mirage Factory's Cruds and SLUFs for sure.

The new patch. all my flight chase charly like rats across the the tundra when I tell them to attack ground and they bug out when I tell them.

Big Negatrons. The new patch is not kind to my Razbam SPADs.

B-36, as that aircraft is the fundamental core of my interest in the sim, and what I hope to mold it into um someday.

Agreed. I didn't hook up with this game until January 2008 and just can't believe what TK has done and what this community has done in the past year.

After much thought on this I think my vote has to go on the Typhoon, excellent model and one of if not the best and most functional panel I have yet to come accross.

The F-35 would have to be a close second :good:

I just have not had the time to keep up with all the mods but being an Eagle junkie my personal favorite was the MSIP F-15s released early in 2008.

It is just incredible how many folks work on this sim and the superior quality of the mods. Bravo Zulu to everyone who has the time, talent and generous spirit to help make these sims the best I've ever flown.
