+wilco Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I'm speechless... That's some outstanding work! Quote
xclusiv8 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Those are some nice looking screens!!! Side note: Would the Mustang be able to attack a jet bomber like in the last pic? Quote
+Dave Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Those are some nice looking screens!!! Side note: Would the Mustang be able to attack a jet bomber like in the last pic? Yes and did successfully too. Quote
Spinners Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Side note: Would the Mustang be able to attack a jet bomber like in the last pic? Well the Meteor was a jet fighter (allegedly) but a few M-262 and Arado Ar-234's were royally bounced by Mustangs in WW2. Quote
Gr.Viper Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Would the Mustang be able to attack a jet bomber like in the last pic? IIRC, Meteor's a late war Brit fighter, which will be a flyable. I think with early jet engines it's not that fast and wastes fuel rather efficiently. I wish TK did a MiG with this level of detail Quote
+Brain32 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Hey Dan can you tell me if Bump maping is enabled on "old" SF2/V/E/I series planes I know there are no normal maps supplied with the Feb or Mar2010 patch but I was wondering if models are set up(mapped) with that in mind? Quote
+Gocad Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Those are some nice looking screens!!! Side note: Would the Mustang be able to attack a jet bomber like in the last pic? Of course it could, but it really depends on the situation. The Brits tested a Vampire against a Spit XIV (which pretty much outclassed the Mustang in most aspects)...and the Vampire was clearly superior, performance wise. Still, given the right position and the right pilot at the controls, even a piston engined fighter would have a chance against a jet. Quote
+whiteknight06604 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 most early jets had limitations and experienced pilot in a piston engined aircraft could and did exploit them. Quote
Fubar512 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Ironically, Wrench and I were discussing bump-mapping and counter-sunk rivets (on Mustangs, no less) last night...lol Quote
FastCargo Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Ironically, Wrench and I were discussing bump-mapping and counter-sunk rivets (on Mustangs, no less) last night...lol I wonder why... FC Quote
Wrench Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 at least, we weren't discussing laminar-flow wings!! wrench kevin stein Quote
Gr.Viper Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 So, people will be able not only to count rivets but to discuss how deep they are? Quote
Derk Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Why don't you just give us rivet counters the exact number ? We can start checking it and it makes it a lot easier to start whining. And after the discussion about the numbers is settled, we can start fighting about the depth of the rivets.... Really looking forward ....... Hou doe, Derk Quote
Fubar512 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) Want to count rivets? Hang out near a marsh.....at night Be kind to our web-footed friends For a duck may be somebody's mother Be kind to your friends in the swamp Where the weather is alwaaaaays damp Now, you may think that this is the end...
