Centurion-1 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I don't really get the whole locking away process or paranoia, if games like Skyrim or all the other big budget modder friendly titles don't mind users getting at every possible game file and importing them into 3ds Max to modify them, I think the SF2NA approach is a bit draconian. But good work Stary! Also, I think TKs new terrain format is still a work in progress, as there definitively seems to be developing potential all around and there seems to be some efforts to "future proof" it. But some more open discussion and info about what TK is doing, has done and is planning to do would be nice. 1

Thing I'd love to see but suppose is not going to happen Canturion seems he locked BIG part of terrain cat (some 90%...) and .fx files specifically to prevent us from making comparable (or, as community proved through the past years) better 3rd party terrains in the future. Smells like DLC terrains. And then downfall of the series, IMO. SF was allways about modding, the man should have understand that years ago... Edited March 18, 2012 by Stary 3 1

I discovered we can have automatically placed trees on terrain water this title WILL give me schizophrenia, I tell you that!

Wrench Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 just needs a few more serials, redoing the mid-fues (add the slimer where the danger arrow is). All the inis are peaked and tweeked -corrected loadouts, folding wings, moving lights, etc. Hopefully, mid-week. all markings are decals, making is easy for other units to be created (although we still need the mesh names from TK for that oddly shaped bulge/blister/rudder actuator housing -- for ALL them A-6A, EA-6B, A-6E and this TRAM)

I did that before, and actually I can open any CAT fully. but TK wants it locked, so when I would share, TK will just lock it even more, which is the last thing I want....
