Take your time. I've been waiting a lot of years for a replacement for "Fleet Defender". I can wait a bit longer.

 

Me too. I'm not expecting fleet defender, but something the same vibe.

A new waterworld with carriers - where a Campaign may need you to fly a Recce flight or two that is PRODUCTIVE in order to find your foe and launch attacks perhaps?

 

Or is that me dreaming about new and wonderous campaign scrips again? :D

 

Speaking of Campaign Scrips, I am willing to bet a beer that the new mission format (I doubt it will be standard anti-ship or strike) will be based upon Balloon Busting from FE2.

 

Would fit perfectly. "Protect Task Force", "Defend task force". Basic parameters with multiple targets and some has to be destroyed/defended already set :)

there's plenty of weather mods around, so no issue really,

 

If any of them worked as intended at the latest patch level I would not keep beating this horse :cool:. lets hope he has the good sense to address the issue before he releases this. Every thing else we have seen looks amazing, it would be pretty stupid put all of this work into the terrain ,yet neglect the sky.

Yes, TK, we get it, there are 3D waves around the ship, smoking ships, reflecting explosions. Oh, and that Iceland looks hot even in crappy weather with clouds almost on the mountains. And that you're running it 1900x1200. But when do we get our fix?

 

Huh, the ship in the third shot is actually firing its MG, but it's hard to see unless you download full res.

Well I´m sure SF2 NA will be a big step forward.

But the stock clouds are still ugly (I think).

Aaaand, I´m not sure what will happen with the terrain engine...

no, just carriers, ond only for Tomcat and eventually Forgers... due to development costs Tupolevs will magically spawn on map border :yikes:
