i see both sides of that coin

to paraphrase Bob Ross, theres no mistakes its the modders world    buuuut

as a alt history/counterfactual fan one should make the minimum changes possible in the revised scenario

I see this as a good alternative to buying American, esp. after the scandal surrounding the Starfighter purchase

As much as I have a soft spot for the 104... the Mirage just makes so much more sense for Germany.

So it was. The Mirage III was the favorit in the competition for the F-86 Sabre successor of the Bundesluftwaffe. Then Lockheed salesmen had a longer, intense talk with the german minister of defence F.J.Strauß. Some decent pressure by the american embassy followed and some money was handed over in black briefcases.

After this the F-104G became the plane of choice and when the background of the deal came out the Federal Republic of Germany had a first big scandal. Which came even worse when the Starfighter achieved his reputation as "Widowmaker".

We can drop individual tanks?

I've been playing this game since 2000-and-dot and didn't know this

I guess, the wingtanks are not jettisonable, so they stay were they are.

no, that's from a fuck up in the loadout and data inis. don't forget, all drop tanks are part of the main aircraft LOD, and if things dont match (outdated data ini for instance, or misnamed loadout) weird shit like this happens.

Examples can be seen a lot, the most I've seen are on Intruders and Prowlers

In the data.ini of the Mirage IIIOA, on which the Mirage IIIEG is based on, both the supersonic tanks and the RPKs had the entry of"NoJettisionTank=TRUE" included. I removed it and now it works.

      Mirage F1EE (1992-2000)
In June 1975, with tension growing with Morocco, Spain decided to strengthen its Air Force and bought 15 Mirage F1C that were allocated to Albacete AB. In mid-1976 there was still some tension with Morocco and Algerian and Libyan MiG-25 flights on the Mediterranean, which would lead the Spanish Air Force to purchase ten more Mirage F1C and two years later order 48 Mirage F1C and F1E.
      F1EE_Late specifics:
      Same as EE_Early plus:
extra AIM-9 on P2 stations (to be accurate, not sure all aircraft had the modification, maybe just experimental on one) Seat Mk6 Cockpit layout modified (provision for future ALR-300 on left side) Covered units :
      Ala 14.
This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware.
      Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms.
      Enjoy
