Gepard Posted January 24 Author Posted January 24 Fort Wayne International Airport WIP Okay, in America all is big: the meals, the people, the cars, the roads, the hatches of the tanks. But for god's sake: For what a medium city like Fort Wayne needs a 3.800 meters runway, and a second 2.500 meters additionally? 1 2
daddyairplanes Posted January 25 Posted January 25 it is also where the 163rd FS of the Indiana ANG is based and the USAF likes to have big runways wherever it is. better to bring in C-5s or B-52s if need be the second runway? Uncle Sam likes there to be two runways when he shares military ramp space with civil terminals. but it does let Fort Wayne have a pretty active air cargo hub going so thats good for them 1
Gepard Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Fort Wayne International Airport nearly finished Would nice to have some static C-5 Galaxy or C-17. 4 1
Gepard Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Yesterday i saw a video that showed, that at Fort Wayne International Airport the 122TFS Indiana ANG has now F-16's instead A-10's. So i thought: Why not using Guurus static F-16 for this airfield? And so i did: On the civil side of the airport i placed some DC-9 aka MD-11 7
Gepard Posted Saturday at 06:03 PM Author Posted Saturday at 06:03 PM Chicago Rockford International Airport Seems to be a big cargo airport. Unfortunately i have not big flatroof buildings, which would be neccessary for a real look of this airport. 3
daddyairplanes Posted yesterday at 02:27 PM Posted yesterday at 02:27 PM (edited) @Sundowner, @GKABS, @Jimbib will somebody please get this man a warehouse? Edited yesterday at 02:27 PM by daddyairplanes 3
Gepard Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM Author Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM Rockford Airport a little bit reworked and fisnished In the background parking positions for large aircrafts. In the front 6 static airliners made by JimBib. Static aircrafts by JimBib in front of the terminal building. A little bit difficult to see 6 parked aircraft positions for smaller aircrafts in front of the hangars. 4
Flanker562 Posted yesterday at 06:33 PM Posted yesterday at 06:33 PM I think this topic is worth pinning for the hoi polloi

LOL, well I'm not any of these guys but I've gladly helped Gepard out in the past with such items. Quick check and I clearly see one of the largest and most prominent structures there is the UPS Logistics Hangar, massive indeed. I don't have a particular interest in this airport and I'm consumed with other projects, but if you're looking for something quick to fill a large space that is fairly accurate and "good enough" then I can keep going on something like this (quick mock-up) and share it with him. I would like to have this building for Michigan terrain. Or two other simple flat roof buildings. Size 100 x 100 meters, one with a height of 10 - 15 meters as warehouse or depot building and one with 20 - 25 meters height as factory building.
Wrench Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Swambast comes through again!! Those are great!! Don't forget Wingwinner's 2 factory buildings packs -- in one (can't remember which!), the factory f2b1 and f2b2 make great warehouses!!. Both easy to repurpose for damn near anything 2
