+yakarov79 Posted Sunday at 10:11 PM Posted Sunday at 10:11 PM These look better than in the previous post.
jodandawg Posted Sunday at 11:25 PM Posted Sunday at 11:25 PM All of the work done is truly amazing!!
Wilches Posted Monday at 12:07 AM Posted Monday at 12:07 AM Much better now. Will it be a TOD or a regular object?

+Gepard Posted Monday at 07:33 PM Posted Monday at 07:33 PM For the Halong Bay rocks i use so far 3 different rocks, which were made by GKABS. I will check the other GKABS rocks whether they will fit or not into Halong Bay. 5
+Wrench Posted Monday at 11:32 PM Posted Monday at 11:32 PM I like rocks. on another note, here's a little 'glitch' I found with some of the aircraft shelters. My suggestion is to either move the shelters onto the existing concrete, or maybe add another slab or 2 under the shelters. They'd never be sitting in the rough as it were. Thanks!

The placement of this shelters beside the concrete is a compromise. If i put it on the concrete the shelters begin to disappear if you fly in a certain altitude. I dont know, how to overcome this strange behaviour of the flat concrete areas. To have the shelters visible all the time i placed them beside the concrete. To explain the problem here 2 screenshots of my Michigan terrain. In the upper screenshot the parking area of the airfield seems to be empty. Neither the 2 ShelterA hangars and the parked aircrafts are visible. The Hangars, which i have placed beside the parking area are clearly visible. In the second screenshot planes and shelters are visible. I have no idea how to overcome this problem. Edited Tuesday at 12:56 PM by Gepard
citizen67 Posted Tuesday at 04:09 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:09 PM I also noticed a similar issue in SF2:V A&G War Expansion Pack terrains, modded with Green Hell 3.5: at a certain altitude the objects aren't visible, as you get closer they become visible
+Flanker562 Posted Tuesday at 04:23 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:23 PM Could just be a game thing, or can you adjust the view distance maybe?
+Sundowner Posted Tuesday at 04:25 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:25 PM (edited) It happens when the "Flat Objects" eg parking area's etc are not placed low enough in 3ds Max, there's a very fine line between making them so low as they dont show at all, or positioning them a few inches above the terrain which then causes the Z buffer fighting issue. I've come across it a few times when making my bases, just because they appear to be made at 0.0 on the Z axis very often they're not, I have all my runways, taxiways etc,etc set at 15cm above "ground level" in 3ds max which seems to be the sweet spot for me. +Wrench Posted Tuesday at 06:58 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:58 PM Thanks Ant!! NOW it makes sense!! I've seen it too, even on stock airfields.

I totally agree
+Sundowner Posted Tuesday at 09:07 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:07 PM It was the stock TW airbase issues that got me started on doing my own......... 1
+Wrench Posted Tuesday at 11:35 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:35 PM Don't even get me started with the "multitude of 6 generic airbases that are neither military nor civil or a combination thereof" 4
+Gepard Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I think i will release DRV 2.1.2 tomorrow. Update DRV 2.1.2 added some fishing ports, with some junks, fuel drums and a little bit Flak added rocks some miles east of Hai Phong solved the "distant mountains" problem, which was graphic glitch that appeared in DRV 2.0 till 2.1.1 reworked the farm-rivermouth tile added Red Crown with CG-16 Leahy class cruiser Red Crown in full action to smash down incoming MiG's. 3
+Wrench Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago You might want to look at the placements for the AAA units (not right now, but in later release). I've found a lot of them, inside cities, that are within the TOD building objects. I mean, great camoflague, but hard to hit!! <g> 1
