Aircraft Carrier "Kuznetsov" ex Kremlin Class ***************************************************** This mod is made for SF2. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History Since the 50th the Soviet Navy tried to get aircraft carriers. But the political leadership denied all attempts to build such vessels. So the Admirality tried to get carriers through the back door. They declared such ships would be neccessary to hunt down american submarines. So the big ASW ships Moskva and Leningrad were built. But the design was terrible. Thatswhy the project 1143 was developed, better known as Kiev class. The Kiev class was to small to operate conventional fix wing jets. So the ships were equipped with VTOL planes, the Yak-38. But this plane was no match for american or west european carrierbased planes. Thatswhy the flightdeck of project 1143.4 was made longer. The ship was named Baku. It was built for the supersonic Yak-41. A plan-B was to use the MiG-29K in the air group of the Baku. The next step was to make the project 1143 ships bigger and longer. 1143.5 was launched in 1982. First named as Riga, then Breshnev, then Tblissi and in 1990 renamed into Kuznetsov. When the USSR broke into parts the Kuznetsov was transfered to the russian North Fleet. The sister ship 1143.6, Riga was renamed in 1990 into Varjag (Viking). It was not operational when it was was given to the Ukraine. The Ukraine had not had enough money to finish the ship. Thatswhy it was sold to China. China finished the ship, modified it and named it Liaonang. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. CREDITS: This is a mod of the ship "Admiral Flota Sovetskogo Soyuza Kuznetsov", made by rokieborhgunder, which you can find here: https://combatace.com/files/file/17091-admiral-flota-sovetskogo-soyuza-kuznetsov/ ---------------------------------------------------------- III. INSTALLATION: -Unzip the folders into your SF2 mod folder ------------------------------------------------------------- IV. Known Problems: The mod is not perfect. Eight gun turrets are not of the correct type. The gun barrels looking always in the wrong direction. The SA-9N missiles does not start from the silos, but from mid of the ship. The Ship to Ship missiles also start from mid of the ship. ---------------------------------------------------------- V. For remarks, comments, bugs, etc please use the forum or send me a PM. ------------------------------------------------------------- VI. The Kuznetsov and all other files are FREEWARE. COMMERCIAL USE IS NOT ALLOWED! ------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ Hope you enjoy it. MiG-17PF 'Fuerza Aérea Argentina' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a very simple mod of the stock MiG-17PF to give a fictional export version for the Fuerza Aérea Argentina with markings for Grupo 6 De Caza. BACKSTORY The Argentinian elections of 1958 saw Arturo Frondizi become President and with some support from Peron's followers to introduced various policies to encourage investment and make the country self-sufficient in energy and industry. One major issue was Argentina's chronic trade deficit and in early 1960 Frondizi cancelled the order for 28 refurbished F-86F Sabres on cost grounds and announced the procurement of 36 MiG-17PF interceptors from the Soviet Union for an undisclosed sum "to be funded solely by beef exports". Entering service with Grupo 6 De Caza in 1961 and armed with the indigenous 'Espada' radar-guided air-to-air missile the MiG-17PF's served in frontline service until 1979 and thus played no part in the 1982 Falklands/Malvinas conflict but did remain on reserve status until 1983. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the MiG-17PF_FAA folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the MiG-17PF_FAA folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the TANK400_MIG17_FAA folder into your Weapons folder. CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 2 - 12/05/2020 Version 1 - 20/08/2011

As per popular demand: This Campaign shows the classic "What-If" Falklands Faceoff! The A-4Q vs Sea Harrier; ARA Veinticinco de Mayo vs HMS Invincible. Both sides are flyable; and it is you who shall help your carrier to win this friendly competition. With Missiles. And bombs! Good luck and may the best Air Crew win. Requirements: You are required to own Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic for this mod to work properly. Everything else is included. Beware: This mod contains a seperate Nations.ini. Make sure you do not accidently overwrite your own modded one. Installation: Unzip into the Saved Games/Thirdwire/Strike Figthers 2 North Atlantic (or any mod folder of your choice, connected to SF2: NA).

This is conversion of great Northop F-5B Freedom Fighter ver 1.1 by FastCargo for SF2 to the first generation Third Wire sims (tested on WOE and WOV). All credits goes to FastCargo and can be read in original F-5B Readme. I changed: - all .ini files to ANSI format - made invisible fuel tanks that are part of aircraft model in SF2 and can't be jettisonable in SF1 - added possibility of carrying F-5A and F-5C wingtip and central fuel tanks that can be found in Mirage Factory Weapons Pack 01/25/2009 on CombatAce - decals on right place in first gen structure - a few more little changes like rear cockpit position, added missile (sidewinder) rails or kick off useless files for firs gen etc. Thanks to FastCargo for fantastic aircraft (especially rear seat flight feelings) and both FC and Wrench for advice on CombatAce Knowledge Base. Michal Minta Kulbit(80).
