    Don't ever forget. EVER forget.
  2. No problem, also read the hints and tips and it'll give you a way to fly a "career" with a single squadron. 33Lima is correct about the syncronized ballet of formation movements. It's been improved but it's still there. The AI truely is first rate and most importantly, it's variable. You get an "experten" you will know it and they will fly like they know how to fly to the strenghts of their aircraft.

  4. BoBII is probably the most accurate single player simulation of the battle you will find. With the BoBDG updates you will have the accurate markings on every aircraft, of every squadron (on their correct airfields) on every day of the battle, practically. It has a dynamic campaign where you can take oversight of the airwar, so you can win or loose the battle. If you don't want that level of management and just want squadron level activity, you can do that too. It is also the only, let me repeat that the ONLY sim that will give you massive air raids on the scale of the battle on a modest computer without bringing it to a smoking halt. The bad news is that it is OLD and looks it. CoD is ok. Very much improved with the atag patches and more computer intensive. The un-modded single player campaign is crap. If you expect to have a big fight over London, you'd better have a very beefy system. The on line component is pretty good, but don't buy into a lot of the atag hype. Visually, it's very beautiful but it comes with a price.

    Windows 10

I'm running the tech preview on my laptop that I was convinced was about to die. No issues at all after the upgrade and I like it very much. The interface is more Win 7 than 8 (or so I hear, since I don't have win 8) so it's not completely foreign. It's not hard to figure out where everything lives. I'm on the verge of moving the desktop over to 10 as well. Both of my computers were getting kludgy so it was time to do something anyway.
  7. I go in fits and starts too. It runs well, most of the time. I don't have to memorize 157 different key presses to start the engine or drop bombs. But, most importantly, it has all the jets that I want to fly. Not whatever someone decides to make...And I can fly them where they're supposed to be flown.
  8. I caught a lot of pike up there around Volk during AFT...
  9. Based on your AARs, I picked it up the other day!
  10. Installed and all operational. It wasn't as bad as I expected and much simpler that the first few DBW installs. Now to explore!
  11. Installing now. We shall see!
  12. I see. I used to have a DBW install but eventually it all went wrong and I wound up deleting it all. I tried a re-install and it never would work properly for some reason, so I gave it up. I may try to D/L and install it if I can figure out which one of the files/torrents are the actual latest files with the fixes because I don't really want to spend a lot of time editing and doing fixes like last time.
  13. Serious question before I really get into this. How bad is the dick dance to get it installed, patched up and FMC?
  14. Asseto Corsa, RF1, DCS but it runs like shit on my computer so FC2 if I'm in the mood. Occasionally a bit of SHIII or IV.
  15. It is indeed Jay in the third picture!
  16. I've got it. Barley touched it.
  17. Thanks men. Great fun so far!
  18. Huge thanks, but how do you get rid of the extra text on the screen. It looks like debug info?
  19. I picked it up for the price. Can't beat it!
  20. I'm in. Period.
  21. Over the years I have been privileged enough to serve with a few that were quite good. Three in particular I would take with me into harms way without hesitation. In lieu of or in addition to men, makes no difference.
  22. Never had to hurry up and wait because a Herky Bird was broken.
