  1. Just started watching DS9 on DVD after not seeing them since their original airings and I'm astounded at just how good it was even first season! TNG by comparison had a very weak 1st season.
  2. LOL, actually I was referring to the TV/films, as we only saw a bit of them at the end of DS9! However, I like the idea of seeing all types of a species' ships, from large battlecruisers to smaller gunships and such. My favorite thing about playing games like these has been the ability to use the ships you barely saw in the series/films, like the Akira class. The ones you catch a brief glimpse of once or twice and never see again!
  3. Transformers was a bit SF. There was Titan AE and Final Fantasy, too. I really like the Pixar films.
  4. No, they're full-system only. For parts, places like ZipZoomFly and NewEgg are popular among others.
  5. It was an FPS if you were infantry, but because it was an MMO/RPG (only mildly) there were many limitations to it that I didn't care for.
  6. You having a laugh? Are you having a laugh?? (obscure reference there)

    75,000 Post

A milestone, certainly! Of course, I personally have over 20,000 posts at another site.
  8. That would really have been just a flying gun. Couldn't have taken much damage, I'm sure.
  9. I'm confused...what are you all looking at? All I see is a shot of empty land and water...is there a plane there??
  10. CoD was never known for that in its MP, really. For the most realistic WWII FPS MP action, you have 3 choices: Day of Defeat (never played it myself) Red Orchestra Hidden and Dangerous 2 (good like finding anyone playing this one, though it's my favorite)
  11. I've pretty much played GRAW out at this point. I played it SO much over the last year that I stopped playing it around the time ArmA reached the 1.05 patch. If you take it for what it is and not what some people expected it to be, GRAW is a decent game. I'm hopeful about GRAW2, but I'm not placing any bets.
  12. I've wondered if we'll ever see more of the Breen or not.
  13. The opening scene where Crow is trying to get his PC onto the internet (pre Win95 of course) is hilarious. Lots of talk about comm ports and UARTs to make you nostalgic. Anyway, I got the special edition of Tora Tora Tora last summer and it's great. Commentaries, documentaries, tons of stuff.
  14. I like biking out of the garage, I'm not going to drive an hour in crappy traffic to get there.
  15. I'd forgotten all about this plane! Probably because I was trying to block Iron Eagle III from memory...
  16. I believe each plane has its own sounds assigned, listed in the XYZ_DATA.INI for that plane. You'll see a line under [sound] that will tell you enginesoundname=jetengine or something like that, as well as afterburnersoundname= and damagedenginesound= lines. I could be wrong, though.
  17. Will these have the Charlie Sheen-installed alarms, too?
  18. LOL, the theater? I can't imagine having seen that in the theater! However, I did see Virus in the theater, so...
  19. Of all the sims being played now, you're most likely to get F4:AF running with that rig. The main problem is your video card...Intel integrated video is about as low as you can go, if you were doing the video limbo. Pretty much any other sim won't run at all I would think. You might get F4 to at least function, though. I don't know what kind of board you have, but it will need some kind of DX9-compatible video card put in there.
  20. Well, I don't have an 8800 anyway, so... :beta1:
  21. So, 2 weeks. Be sure.
  22. He posted in the SimHQ racing forum a month or 2 back, however the Lead Pursuit signature was gone. Looking in their F4:AF forum, that Ed guy has been posting as of late. I think C3PO no longer works for LP and just never announced it. Do LP have their own forums?
  23. They were quite exasperated with the choral soundtrack "Da....da da da....da....da da da DAAA!" They also made the comment "So, I guess they're refueling then?" At the beginning some guy comes out to tell the pilots on the ramp something and Crow says "NOT an actor!"
  24. That's exactly my problem--I hate flat expanses. I like a little rolling. When I lived in S Florida years ago, I was near a bike path that was built with small hills in it, so you had some elevation changes. I moved here and it's just boring.
  25. Time is short. Dwarves are short. People change. Interest rates fluctuate...
