Whoa.......

With the price of flash drives coming down I've taken to using those as well as my three external drives. DVDs (even BIG ones) just don't seem practical these days. I have a flash drive for SF2 installs, one for my Microsoft FS installs, etc. Makes it very easy to find stuff when I need it. It is really amazing how many games can simply be zipped up and stored. And then unzipped and run without doing a formal re-install. I have not done a re-install of SF2 for years. Same with FS9, CFS2 and CFS3. Good advice as always, Dave. I'm a backup fanatic.

Yes, I'll pick them up too, I think. It will be a long time before I join the DCS crowd. I understand the biz decision and DCS is probably better suited as an add-on platform.

I had problems with the HookArmLength on another plane. I had to change it from 1.63 to 2.07 so you would think 2.1 would be good. Maybe that in concert with the AttachmentPosition? The AttachmentPosition for the plane I had issues with was 0.0,-6.44,-0.31. Are you missing a minus sign on the last field of your AttachmentPosition? I don't claim to be an expert. I've just experienced your pain.....;)

Did you ever fix the original cause of the crash? Does the recovery give you the option to repartition or reformat? If so, what are you choosing?

Tell you what. I found a very similar a/c that seems to fly right. Let me poke around the data.inis......... They are very different in respect to stabilizer values. And they are supposedly both "SF2" FMs.

Ok. After experimenting for a while it feels like the pitch trim is cranked way up. I try to level the A/C but it insists on pitching up regardless. So, yes, it feels like a problem with the horizontal stabilizer or the elevator....... Jet.

Disregard for the moment. I may have found the issue. Need to do some further research.
