  1. First rule of deploying, make sure you bring the toys. Look up sometime Eric, you might see us overhead ;) Cheers!
  2. Looks great, but the current scheme is a bit different. The tail flash is much smaller and the Langley stripe on the fuselage is no longer applied. Storm
  3. That first screenie looks strangely familiar. Like I just saw that... ;) Nice work. Storm
  4. Yep, only IRMs on the wingtips.
  5. Hmm, I saw 2 F-16CGs and a pair of F-16CJs over Iraq this morning at FL260. Yesterday was just an AWACS. Storm
  6. Thanks Michael. This is the first time I've ever had conflicts in the 6 years I've been using CH products. How are you guys able to get a second copy of FS9? Is it as simple as copy and pasting? I thought it would be a problem with the registry. Thanks again all, Jeff
  7. I never did get a decent reply from the Tech guys at CH. They said that it could be a problem with an aftermarket product I installed in FS9 and that I should try a fresh install. That will take days as I've got alot added, not to mention all of the Traffic. Yes I've got the Control Mngr installed and up to date. No problems there, so it has to be with FS9. Figures... Thanks for asking though Ghost. It will wait until I get back in November and I'll mess with it then. Cheers, Jeff

    Hey Sparky.....

Still wearing that damn morale patch I see. And I catch all kinds of hell for wearing my 100 missions patch from the blunties around the base. Go figure. Glad to see them go.
  9. Great photography. The B&W B-25 shot is probably my favorite. Looks like you had a good variety of aircraft. Jeff
  10. Great job on the insult. At no time did anyone attack the ability of the IAF. Some simple comments were made about how the Flanker would be used in Red Flag but you had to turn it political and imply that we would sell you out. Get a clue. By any chance are you an actual member of the IAF, or just someone who watches a lot of news?
  11. I've already figured out the flares for the tailboom mounted dispensers. See my reply over in Marcello's release thread. The work is already done for you. If you want to create the Mi-17V as seen above, some minor editing can be done since the dispensers are moved. Looking forward to flying the -17 Hip. Storm
  12. See this thread. Apparently, you have to have AA turned on with WoI in order to get it to work. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...50&hl=Anti- Storm
  13. MiG Alley had so much potential. I loved the contrails all over the sky. Which Korean War sim had you start out in training in the T-6? You had an instructor in the back that would critique everything. I didnt think it was MA, but could be wrong. That one always CTD after a few mins.
  14. F/A-18 Interceptor was my real first sim. I tried the original Falcon also and from then on, was hooked. Storm
  15. I've posted this to the Tech guys at CH, but havent heard back yet and thought I'd give it a go here as well. I've noticed lately that the rear Y axis seems to cut out when in use in FS2004. I'll be trying to land, and it will suddenly catch, causing a sharp pitch up. The other axis' are also acting up. They wont always engage. The weird thing is that the mini-thumb stick on the throttle works fine and will override the main stick. I immediately thought it was my potentiometers going out, so I tried a recalibration to see if something was cutting out there. Everything worked fine and calibrated ok. So I tried swapping out my USB connections and moved the stick and throttle to two other USB ports. Still same results. So finally I tried another game. I fired up WoI and yanked and pulled on my stick, so to speak ;), and it worked fine. No loss on any of the axis'. So... what do you guys think? Jeff
  16. My best friend is going and will be allowed inside to photograph the launch and recoveries. Unfortunately, I'll be back in the real fight and will miss another good deal. I'll be looking forward to seeing the photos though. I do wonder if the IAF will actually use their Flanker's full potential or hamstring themselves again, like over in the UK, by leaving the radars off. Storm

    Thank You MK2

Thanks for stepping up with the $ to set up this little haven for us simmers. It's a great group. Jeff

    The Nicest Thing...

Nice story Dave. Glad to hear that there are a few people left that actually bring their children up to appreciate the military.
  19. It's known as the "Holstein" by the non-Aggressor dudes due to the colors. Nice to see the USAF getting a bit creative with it's camo finally.
  20. Last week, we stopped over at Moron AB near Seville. They had one of the A400 engines on a run stand. Apparently, it's really behind schedule and the first flight has been pushed back (as was said in the article) because of it. Interesting looking aircraft though.
  21. Depending on the timeframe, you could use several aircraft. The 16th SOS was assigned to the 8th TFW. F-4D were sometimes used as nighttime escorts. For a truly low-speed escort, the A-1E/H Skyraiders would work well. Back in the mid 90's, AFSOC was testing out the A-10 as a Spec Ops escort. They wanted to purchase some of their own and use them in conjunction with the Talons, Spectre/Spooky and helos. ACC wouldnt fess any up. Storm
  22. Without being in front of my gaming comp, is the -87 pods availabe in the weapons pack or are they something you've cooked up for yourself? Storm
  23. Klav, that is gorgeous. Are you planning on selling prints? I'd get one framed. Storm
  24. My 9 year old son is always watching me play my sims and will on occasion try his own flight. It usually ends up in a crash, but he likes it. So yesterday, I installed WoV onto his computer and after a bit of explaining, we took to the virtual skies. Hamachi was the link, and it worked great. I think we've got another Thirdwire fan in the works. Storm
  25. Haha, nice TDY location. I guess we wont expect much from you over the next 4 months. ;) Enjoy!
