  1. Against any MiG-15 or 17, rolling and pulling will gain you some separation, as both those models have crappy roll rates when compared to their western counterparts. Diving also forces them to pull out before you do, as they both also have issues pulling out of a near-Mach dive.
  2. The A-6's fuel guage works well, and has always worked. Load the aircraft with 50% fuel at the beginning of a mission, and no drop tanks, and tell me what it reads,
  3. A lot of our old favorites have changed, and seldom for the better. Remember when McDonald's apple pies were fried (instead of baked)? http://sweets.seriouseats.com/2012/04/so-you-miss-deep-fried-mcdonalds-apple-pies.html We had a regional bakery here in the Northeast, called "Drake's Cakes". They were the originators of Ring-Dings, Funny-Bones, and Devil-Dogs. They were brought out by Hostess some time ago, though Hostess kept marketing them until the end. I hope that the new owners of Hostess revive them, as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake's
  4. Yes, the Twinkie, that iconic junk-food cake is set to stage a comeback by the beginning of this Summer, after its makers shuttered their doors last year: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/04/08/twinkies-are-coming-back-the-metropoulous-brothers-on-the-brand.html
  5. Commenting that it is taking someone too long to complete a freeware project isn't wrong? It is considered extremely rude, and is certainly not tolerated here.
  6. You've been given some good advice so far, so I will keep it simple: Do not give up hope! I will include you in prayers tonight.

  8. Check the latitude settings for that terrain.
  9. You can only animate objects that have movable or rotatable components. If that pilot model doesn't have them defined, chances are that it is not meant to be animated.
  10. 3rd party or default models?
  11. Mid-course correction is meant for SAMs, not AAMs (with the possible exception of AIM-54s and other long range AAMs). IRMs do not require any additional form of correction, as they constantly follow (and compensate for the apparent movement of) the heat source of their intended target. Beam riders follow the narrow guidance beam of their launch platform, or SAM radar (SA-2s, for example, were beam riders) to their targets. That simply means that it's up to the pilot of the launch platform to maintain a very tight lock of his intended target, as opposed to the "looser" tracking demands afforded to SAHMs, due to the aforementioned pursuit profile.
  12. To quote the late, great, Richard Pryor "I would tell them to RUN!!!!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DMHby7SaOI
  13. SF2:Urinal? And they most not leave out those in toilet stalls.....Bombs Away!
  14. This is just too much http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2013/03/26/minor-league-baseball-team-to-debut-urinal-video-games
  15. I need to get in touch with Marcelo about that one, too.
  16. With painfully few exceptions outside of the "Bible" and "Vikings", the History channel is producing nothing other than what passes for the norm today, that is, anything other than "staged" reality shows.
  17. LOL....as Wrench attempted to say "That is just wrong on sooooo many levels, man!". A few years ago, a friend who is a gunsmith showed me his "bling" special. It was a nickled 1911 with gold-anodized aluminum grips, gold-plated recoil spring plug, gold grip-safety, and a gold trigger. To make matters worse, he hand polished the .45 ACP ammo, so it looked like it was gold plated...
  18. Frequencies need to match the guidence radar, and if you want HOJ to work properly, the range of the targets jamming freqs. CCM = counter-counter measure. Noise Rejection = self-explanatory. They are both percentages, 0 = none, 100 = total rejection of both jamming freqs and counter measure effectiveness.
  19. Home on jam works well. It's easy enough to test: Set up a naval mission against a ship equipped with SAMs, and make sure that they have that specific capability flag (HOJ) enabled. Fly against the ship with jamming off, and use chaff. Then, try it with HOJ on, and dump chaff. Run it ten times each way, and compare the averages. No HOJ, with chaff, 0 intercepts for 10 missions flown. HOJ on with chaff, 3 intercepts out of 10 missions flown. Remember that the frequencies should match (or overlap).
  20. I've got a great idea, why don't you do it yourself? Try experimenting, "getting your hands dirty", (etc), and post the results. If they turn out well, then upload them for others to try.
  21. Of course. But it needs to percieve a target/threat in order to launch.
