I'm working on Aurora Municipal Airport. And i have a small problem. This airport was reconfigured in the early 2000th. Some of the old taxiways were removed and new taxiways were build some meters beside. So i made the old airport and it looks so: For the new shape of the airport i must remove the long taxiway a little bit to left, to bring it in a staight line. Thatswhy i added the entry Target[008].EndYear=2003 in the targets.ini Then i added the new taxiway with the additional entry Target[052].ActiveYear=2004 The funny, or not so funny thing is, that ActiveYear is working properly, but EndYear not. The result looks so: The new taxiway is so as it should be, but the old taxiway is still there. Has someone an idea, how to solve this problem?

Here the static planes at Midway Airport in game I made a new tile with an university complex. I think it is an university with baseball field and two sports arenas. But the color does not fit with the other tiles. Perhaps i can fix it with some paintshop work.

It is the LAZUR command data link display. I think the game engine can't handle it.

IIRC it is the "display" of the LASUR command data link. But i will ask some guys who know it better than me.

The ukrainian Abrams have no armour plates made by depleted uranium. Thats true. But depleted uranium is not much better than steel, when attacked with HEAT warheads. And drones with HEAT warheads are the most dangerous enemy of a modern tank in Ukraine.

For the Ukraine terrain we have western tanks, like Abrams, Leo1 and 2, in the basic shape, as they are used in the western military. I the last year the ukrainians found out, that the armour protection of this tanks was not good enough to defeat russian ATGM or bigger drones, like the Lanzet. Thatswhy they fitted the tanks with Kontakt 1 ERA blocks from soviet times. Here some photos: This Abrams was captured some day ago in Sumy region. It has ERA blocks on the turret front and sides, but no side skirt. This captured Abrams has massive thick side skirts. So does the Abrams look with ERA and folded turret cage, short after delivery Here a sideview with unfolded cage. Good to see is the massive side skirt. Leopard 2 with ERA blocks on turret and side skirts. Nice to see the anti drone jammer antennas on the turret roof. Perhaps one of our talented modders could make Abrams and Leo 2 models in 2025 standard.

Chicago Midway International Airport (WIP)

Black planes mean, that the skins are not available. The reason can be, that there are no files in the folder or the files have the wrong format (jpg instead bmp or so). This can happen if you try to use a first generation (WoV) plane in SF2 world.

ПР (Пуск Разрешен) came with the MiG-29, Su-27 fighter families. The earlier radars had IIRC a lamp that gave the signal "lock on" and "ready to fire". Edit: The following photo is taken from an east german book. Point 3 in the diagram is the "green lamp", i mentioned. The same book said, that in the Radar screen of the MiG-21 the signal Пуск was readable, when the target was in weapon range.

MiG-21F-13M2 The MiG-21F-13M2 was an upgrade program made by East Germany and Czechoslovakia. The maiden flight was in 1978. It was developed to counter the F-16 and to bridge the time till MiG-29 arriving. The Czech were responsible to integrate leading edge flaps and two additional hardpoints on the wings. They also installed the R-25-300 engine, which had the same dry thrust as the older R-13-300, but the afterburner gave 69 kN and it had a special dogfight regime which gave enormous 97.1 kN thrust for 5 minutes. With this thrust the MiG-21F-13M2 accelerates faster as any other fighter plane in Europe. With the new designed wing and the strong engine the maneuverability of the plane was dramatically increased. The East Germans integrated a small but powerfull radar in the nose cone, which had a maximum detection range of 45 km and were able to detect a fighter size target at 22 km. They gave this bird the ability to carry a SPS-141 jamming pod. And they integrated the R-60 missile into the weapon system. In the late 1980th the missile R-73 became part of the weapon system. At the same time the plane was fitted with a helmet mounted sight for the pilot. Positive was: The plane was agile, nimble and highly maneuverable. It accelerated very fast and had a very good climb speed. Negative was: The plane had a short range and a short flight time. It was not able to use radar guided missiles.
