  1. In flight sims you can often find USAF Sabres with camo skins. There is also a warbird which wears camo during air shows. But did F-86 of the USAF really had camo skins during the service time? I know, that F-86H during their time as aggressor birds had a camo skin. But else? In the net i found one historical picture of a UASF F-86 with camo. But this is a licence built Canadair, which was used by RAF and was handed to the USAF to transfer it to Italian Air Force in 1956. Thatywhy i ask the wisdom of the forum: Were there american F-86 Sabres with camouflage skin during service time in USAF?
  2. Ups, that hurts a little bit.
  3. Which plane do you fly? Maybe it has not bomb bay.
  4. IIRC Israel had in 1982 only AIM-9L, no M. 4 AAM and one ECM pod were normaly loaded. Interestingly the AIM-9L was not very effective in head on engagements, so that the IAF changed the tactics and used them as tail chasers.
  5. At the moment i'm converting jpg to tga tiles, so that the waves and reflections of the sea are visible now. But i have a problem, that drives me crazy. I get a slight color contrast between the coastal tiles of Guernsey and the sea tiles. It is not very big, but visible. To show you the problem i post this screenshot. If you look over the tail of the Phantom you can see a slight contrast line between two tiles, which goes from the back of the plane to the right upper corner of the screenshot. And i dont know, how to fix it. Surely it is only a small error, which can easily corrected. But what error?
  6. F-4J(UK) over Alderney, a small island in the English Channel
  7. This is one of my first terrains, made for SFP1 and it could be a starting point for "Gulf of Tonking incident Redux" It covers the Gulf of Tonking Heightfield Tiles and target areas It would need an updated tileset, some changes to make it fit to SF2 world, including carrier stations and a reworked target.ini, which should focus on coastal objects
  8. Near Düsseldorf the german police made a photo of Cookie Monster, when Cookie Monster drove with to high speed into a speed trap. Here the proof:
  9. "Experiece Matters" would be " Опыт имеет значение " in russian.
  10. What if the Ye-8 prototype would have become the MiG-23? The soviets would have had a fighter nearly as agile as a F-16A one decade before the Viper.
  11. You could switch the RP-22 to send out a continuous beam, so that you could use it as rangefinder to a ground target. But ground mapping was not possible. The RP-22 had more in common with RP-23 of MiG-23, than with RP-21. It was able to guide the R-3R missile, but not the RS-2US (AA-1 Alkali).
  12. MiG-23BN, Dumb Iron Dropper
  13. To come back to the F-16 thema: Solyanka Viper
  14. Today i was able to finish the TOD objects placement on Guernsey island. I dont know how many trees and houses i placed on the 34 tiles. It must be thousands. The result looks so: The next step will be to convert the tiles from jpg to tga format. So i will get the waves. BTW waves. They were defined by waternormal.bmp file. I have tried to replace it with a jpg file, but i had no success. Does someone know in which ini file the waternormal.bmp can be found?
  15. In the net i found this photos of B-1 from 1981, which shows the bird in unusal colors.
