Removing Weapons From a Campaign
Gepard replied to Righteous26's topic in Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
When you create a campaign set "Weapon Supply" to "Limited" and "Campaign Difficulty" to "Hard". Should work. -

Nice reference. But your values about armor is not detailed enough. The thickness of armour is very different at a tank. For instance the british Chieftain MBT. The hull has a frontal armour plate of 120 mm, with an angle of 72°, what make a penetration distance of 388 mm. The upper hull side armour is only 50 mm and has an angle of 30°, what makes a penetration distance of 57 mm. The lower hull side armour is 38° thick. The stern hull armour is 35mm thick. The turret front is 195 mm with an angle of 60°, what makes a penetration way of 390 mm. The turret side is between 120 and 195 mm thick. The angle is between 20 and 35°, what makes a maximum penetration way of around 220 mm. The turret stern is only 45 mm thick.

If you read the novells of Tom Clancy, or watch the post Gulf War stories in TV you were indoctrinated, that the soviet tanks were all rubbish and the western tanks are all invincible. The reality is different. Here some pictures of the invincible M 1 Abrams: Burned out after a tank killer team throw some handgranades in open hatches. Bad tactics. Turrent blown off after road bomb strike. Burned out after an RPG hit the ammo bunkier. Heavily damaged by RPG, but the inner armour seems to be intact. Burned out after RPG strike. On fire. Completly destroyed and turret blown of after road bomb strike. Ammo bunker is burning. Burned out wreck of an M 1 Abrams. But the german Leopard is not better. German media believe it is the best tank of the world and invulnerable. The reality looks different. Turrent blown off after hit by ATGM. Completly destroyed after hit in ammo rack, left side of hull front. Turret blown off, ammo rack in back of turret explodes. Ammo rack in back of turret explodes, tank burned out. Conclusion: There are no unvulnerable and invincible tanks. To believe the own propaganda is deadly.

The designers and creative artists often have no idea about planes. They take the most cool looking birds for their work and to be honest the Su-57 looks much cooler than a F-35 or F-22.

Fictional Parani modernized MiG-19

Cool bird! -
At the time the Tempest will be ready for take off, Scotland will be an independent state. So England stands alone. Italy and Sweden will retreat from the project. They are to depending from the EU.

The plane will end like the TSR2. UK has not enough money for a complete developement. Which other nations would buy this plane? The Americans? Surely not. The Europeans? Since the UK left the EU surely not.

Fictional Parani modernized MiG-19

MiG-19R and MiG-19SF used IIRC the RD-9BF-811 engine. This engine had a military thrust of 29 kN and with afterburner 37 kN. The fuel consumption was 104 kg/kN*h dry and 169 kg/kN*h with afterburner. The engine weights 725 kg. -

Your improved MiG-19 could looks like this: It is prototyp SM-12PM. And so it looked in real life: It was a combination of MiG-21PF air intake, cockpit and radarsystem with the fuselage, wings of the MiG-19PM. The engines were R3M-26 with 25 kN dry and 32kN afterburner. The fuel consumption was reduced, so that the range could be increased by 600 km. The top speed was increased by 288 km/h. -
There is a problem with this terrain. The target area Luanda is situated not there, where on the planning map the city of Luanda is. The reason is, that the correct location of Luanda is to close to the edge of the terrain. It is inside the "invicible wall", which you cant enter. To place an airfield close to the target area Luanda is on the first view not difficult. Simply creating a new target area by copy and past an existing airfield, change the target area number to the correct sequence number, change the Position to: "Position=214000.00,879000.00", rename the target area to "Luanda Airport". Thats it. But on the second view, the terrain is to rough for an airfield. Parts of the airfield will "sink in" the soil, others will hover in the air. Thatswhy the heightfield must flatten first. And for this a quick and simple solution is not available.
