I have never had CTD. The tiles are with 1024x1024 pixel very big. Maybe that the workload for your computer is to high. Perhaps you should lower the graphic setting.

To 1.) It is possible to create a pilot as groundobject. To 2.) The helicopters are not able to pick up something, including pilots. Thatswhy CSAR, SAR, MEDEVAC or similar missions are not possible.

I try to make a Battle of Britain campaign, which is historical correct as possible. We have now a He-111, so it is possible. What we still need is a Me-110. I dont know, wheter it is possible to include Anti-Ship missions into a campaign. It would be nice to start with the convoi battles in the English Channel. For single missions it is possible. I dont know why it happens. Theoretically all is correct. The base is set for the german side, the frontline is correct. Sometimes this happens, but one or two missions later the base is blue again.
