Spanish Air Force retires C-130s
Gepard replied to macelena's topic in Military and General Aviation
The A400M is faster and it is a much more modern design. BUT it is build by a company that had never built a military transport plane before. Thatswhy i would prefer the most modern version of the american Herc, or the An-70 from the Ukraine. -
In a campaign the squadrons are operating from airfields. In the data.ini of the campaign you can define which squadron is operating from one airfield. An airfield can operate only a certain number of squadrons. How many squadrons per airfield you find in the targets.ini of the terrain. For instance: [TargetArea001] Name= Lympne Position=839000.00,611000.00 Alignment=FRIENDLY Location=1 AirfieldDataFile=RAF_Lympne_Airfield.ini ActiveYear=0 Radius=4242.640625 NumSquadrons=4 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< This is the number how many squadrons can be operated from this airfield When the campaign is started, the game engine sometimes moves the squadrons to other airfields. If there are airfields without squadrons you will see no parked aircrafts. Only airfields with squadrons have parked airplanes.
-
Wheter parked aircrafts appear in game has nothing to do with a campaign or with NavalMap=True or False. The parked aircraft are defined in the terrain, especially in the xxx_airfield.ini. Here as example the desert_aifield1.ini: [Runway001] Heading=0 Offset=0,0 Length=2500 Width=90 TouchDown=0,-918.5 LaunchAll=TRUE TakeOff[01]= -10,-1100 TakeOff[02]= -30,-1110 TakeOff[03]= 10,-1110 TakeOff[04]= 30,-1120 TakeOff[05]= -10,-1150 TakeOff[06]= -30,-1160 TakeOff[07]= 10,-1160 TakeOff[08]= 30,-1170 TakeOff[09]= -10,-1200 TakeOff[10]= -30,-1210 TakeOff[11]= 10,-1210 TakeOff[12]= 30,-1220 TakeOff[13]= -10,-1250 TakeOff[14]=-30,-1260 TakeOff[15]= 10,-1260 TakeOff[16]=30,-1270 ParkingChance=60 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< modify this line between 0 and 100. Anyone recognize this "Warsaw Pact" APC?

MT-LB was a wide family of armoured vehicles. From artillery recon vehicle, anti-tank-gun pulling device, SAM or ATGM carrier and so on and so on and so on. It was a maid of all work. The diverence between MT-LB and MT-LBu was the number of wheels. MT-LBu had had 7 wheels, MT-LB only 6. Here a link to pictures of some MTLBu versions: http://www.militaertechnik-der-nva.de/Bestimmungsbuch/5gepKetFhrmitTurm/53/MT-LBu/532.html And here MT-LB: http://www.militaertechnik-der-nva.de/Bestimmungsbuch/5gepKetFhrmitTurm/53/53.html -
Only the islands of Guernsey, Alderney and Jersey were conquered by the germans in reality. Operation "Seelöwe" was a military plan to fight Great Britain on english soil. This terrain will come with a campaign for this never realized german plan.

The channel convois are now part of the map Next step will be to include the ground battles in South England. The main problem is, that in the download section of our forum no british tanks of the year 1940 exist.

Recon mission over the Port of Dover The Flak fire was heavy. Suddenly my fighter escorts cried for help. They were ambushed by countless enemy fighters. Spitfires and Hurricanes. A lot of them. The Messerschmitts fought for their live. I decided to engage the enemy, to show them how superb a He-100D4 is. Kill one: Splash two: At the end of the day my wingman and i shot down 17 Tommy fighters. What a wonderfull day!

I would like to place more cityblocks to the City of London, but i fear, that more than the approx.2.500, which i have already placed, could harm the fps rate to much. The cityblocks cover an area between Towerbridge in the east to Kensigton Palace in the west. From Victoria Station in the south and Kingscross Station in the north of London.

The answer is no. the tiles have no influence. That objects are at the wrong position on a runway can be caused by including a second runway in the target area.

The cityblocks are so bright only in sun. When in shadow they looks so: The roofs match more or less with the color of the tiles. Maybe i should make the cityblocks all of brickstone color.
