I think you are wrong. Military in germany (east and west) was duty, not volunteer. It was compulsory military service. And in all armies with compulsory military service the recruts think "What the fuck we are doing here!" This has nothing to do with east or west. In east germany the military education started already in the school. The aim was not to learn "how to bring the glorious communism to the poor and suppressed crowds in the west". The aim was to learn how to defend the country. It was easy to believe to be on the right side. They had only to show us the pictures of the devastations in Vietnam. Then they had shown us the ruins of Dresden (some where still there in the 1980th). And they told us, that american bomber planes and missiles are aiming on us. During my military time i have seen a education film with the title "Das ist der Feind!" (Thats the enemy!) It was a film which showed the drill of recruits of the US Marines Corps. No comment, no word. Only the sequences how the recruits were drilled, brainwashed, humilated. Then the film showed what the Marines had done in Vietnam. They showed the war crimes made by USA. And only short before the movie ended the words came: "This is the enemy! A bunch of merciless killers!" This film is not available at YOUTUBE or any other platform.

The F-22 is a fighter, the F-15E can act in air to air and air to ground role. Its a big advantage. For the most parts of the world the Eagle is enough to fight down any opponent, while the Raptor would be only an expensive overkill. Or to say it with the words of one of my professors: "You dont need the high potentials, you need the right potentials!"

Thats true. It are the same engines as in Tu-95, Tu-20 or Tu-114

I have some problems with the campaign. The RAF is fought down. No resistance in the air anymore. But the ground forces does not make the last step, to conquer the british home base, to win the campaign. So i'm working on finetuning and testing. Again and again. Its boring. -

Yes, he had such a plane. It was a field modification. The ground crews took the wing guns from a Me-109E and put them in Gallands 109F. Messerschmitt was not amused. Later Galland has flown FW-190, but he prefered the 109. -

English Wiki is wrong reference at this point for the F-4. The data you recieved from there are for the Me-109G-6. Here is the entry from german wiki, especially for the F-4: Bewaffnung zwei 7,92-mm-MG 17 über dem Motor (je 500 Schuss, ausreichend für 25 bis 26 Sekunden Dauerfeuer) und eine 20-mm-Maschinenkanone MG 151/20 mit 200 Schuss (ausreichend für etwa 15 Sekunden Dauerfeuer, durch die Propellernabe feuernd) Translation: Armament: two 7.92 mm MG-17 over the engine (each 500 rounds, enough for 25 to 26 seconds permanent firing) and one 20 mm Machinegun MG151/20 with 200 rounds (enough for 15 seconds permanent firing, shooting trough propeller) -

Great plane. Nice job. Only one remark. Your 109F-4 has two 13 mm machineguns. In reality they had only two 7.92 mm guns. -
True. The soviet designer who later developed the AA-8 Aphid (R-60) said once: The AIM-9B Sidewinder was our missile university. The soviets learned all how to make a IR missile. In the 1970th an east german MiG-21 lost a R-3S (Atoll) over the Baltic Sea. West german frogmen found the missile and west german weapon engineers tested it. Afterwards they said: "The Atoll is a very good copy of the AIM-9B Sidewinder". They put it on a rail of a F-104G and the missile worked very well.

The download speed of CombatAce is very low at the moment. I got a rate of 22kb/sec while downloading the LT35 tank. Is it a problem of my side of the connection or is the server slow?
