  1. C:\Users\Titan\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\FlightData Should be C:\Users\Titan\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Flight then drop the huddata.ini into the Flight folder.
  2. Aaah.........I mis-read his caption and thought it said "no word on the G model, and the moving rudder pedals. Anyways thanks for the update.
  3. Eric Before I install this could you please let me know exactly what this update is gonna do? Cheers Rom
  4. Try a program called 'audacity' it allows you to do anything to an audio file.....including running it through filters and compressors which gives you that staticky on the air sound
  5. I'm not sure exactly what is in the Reloaded mod but the link that I posted will connect you the three different voice packs 1) replaces and improves all the in flight radio calls (other planes in the air) 2) replaces redcrown with hawkeye 3) replaces the approach and departure controller You can chose to use any of them individually or all three together..... And if you aren't happy with them then you just delete the speech folder within your mod folder and you are back to the default speech.
  6. There are a few voice packs available that really improve the radio chatter in the game, of course the goal is to replace the cartoon hillbilly voices that come with the game, this link will get you a voicepack that fixes the guy that yells at you everytime you leave or approach an airfield (yes it's a shameless plug) http://combatace.com/files/file/13057-approach-and-departure-voicepack/ in the readme there are links to the other two speech files which are really great, the pack by Retrograde easily would make the top ten list of all-time best mods. It gives the feeling that some of those incoming missile callouts are coming from the guy behind you......every now and then it actually uses the line "come on, do some of that pilot s**t"
  7. Eric I have been enjoying the new superbug cockpit, congratulations to both you and Brain32 on a great job.....I know there has been some discussion about the legacy hornet cockpit being complete but not yet released......any idea on how long before it gets released?
  8. Go into your controls folder in the mod folder and delete it, then start the game and it will generate a new default control ini....... Then in and copy the default.ini and rename it so you will always have a default backup
  9. like this <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BsBd9tPK4uE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  10. He left it in pieces in the opening car scene chase of the second movie
  11. I really liked the Dalton movies, I thought he was a much needed change from the cheesy Moore era......Daniel Craig has had the same impact( even more so) now from the similar cheesy Brosnan era. And Skyfall looks awesome!!! I can't wait
  12. As dated as Robocop looks now..........it was SPECTACULAR back at it's release in 1987.......you also have to be carefull not to judge the original by it's sequels. I agree with Lazarus, it will be either amazingly good.......or it'll be a trainwreck, but if that Omnicorp link is any judge of how cool it'll be then I am quite excited about it
  13. Hello Joe and welcome to CA When you install an update you will not lose aircraft or sceneries that you have installed. Generally speaking, things you have added to your mod folder shouldnt be effected......things you have changed or editted can be effected when patching. If you have any stand alone installs then you will need protect them before you update. have a read through this http://combatace.com/forum/268-thirdwire-strike-fighters-2-series-knowledge-base/page__prune_day__100__sort_by__Z-A__sort_key__last_post__topicfilter__all there is a thread in there about patching and how to protect your modded files http://combatace.com/topic/55746-patching-made-easy-part-deux/ I would suggest making a backup of your mod folder prior to patching and then if anything does get messed up then you can always drag over the old files from the back-up and replace the ones effected by patching. Hope that helps Cheers Romflyer
  14. This sounds like some seriously good news!!......where did you get this from?? it's like discovering the holy grail for TIR in SF2 Thanks Romflyer
  15. Well I have tried more then a few flight games on my phone, and I have come accross a few that have held my attention for a few breif encounters ........If TW can make one that finally suits my taste for gaming fun on the phone......then I say BRING IT ON !!!
  16. Thats a great deal!! .....mine cost me $200 CDN ($1200 Kunas) I am sure you will be happy with it.......be sure to protect the cable connections between the stick and throttle, they are the main flaw on an otherwise fantastic piece of hardware.
  17. The first thing I would suggest is that you go to your mod folder and pick your least modded install of the 3 you have and drag it to another location (perhaps your desktop) then go into your start menu and launch which ever title it was that you moved, this will essentially create a fresh install of that game........if it runs then you can start putting your mods back in. Then you can go try the other two. If this doesnt work then I would go re-download the latest installers. Good luck
  18. Have a read through this reveiw of an Obutto set-up........it might help http://combatace.com/topic/59958-obutto-gaming-cockpit/
  19. That is an interesting site......their rudder pedal treatment is VERY similar to what I have done with my CH pedals Another similar site that is full of desk top sim ideas is http://www.rogerdodger.net/
  20. I've tried but I just cant be .......as effective without the a little help. I have everything turned off but a small red dot to paint my current target. Anyways, with all the visual cues and cheats turned off you are probably getting results closer to real life historical stats ???........which was my point.
  21. Hey streak I'm not sure exactly how you have your game setup but I think a lot of people lose site of the fact that this game( and most others) offer up a host of visual clues (like red target boxes) which give us as players a distinct advantage that really makes it unfair to compare mission results with real life Historical statistics...... As I said earlier I am not familiar with your setup and how you have your visual "cheats" displayed, but judging by the results you are refering to I can only assume you have these visual aids enabled.........now if you tell me that you are getting these results without any visual aids enabled then I am seriously impressed.
  22. #1 It's nice that TW has finally introduced a functioning ILS (instrument landing system) try to keep the big white cross on your hud centered.....if the cross is above the center of your hud then your too low, if it's below center then your too high, and the same idea for side to side.......also keep an eye on the little white circle that floats around on your hud (velocity vector) it tells you where your plane will go to with your current speed and attitude, so point that white circle at the close end of the deck where you want to touch down #2 If you need to move left or right to stay lined up on final dip your wing in the direction you need to go instead of using your rudder.......use your rudder to stay parallel (in line) with the runway. #3 Same thing everybody else said......you will enjoy the game so much more.
  23. Hello Ceasar A few days back there was a thread about the HSI in the new Vipers http://combatace.com/topic/73262-new-vipers/ through the conversation about that topic it came up that the TMF F-14 had a similar issue with it`s HSD.......Just wondering if you had any thoughts on this? or if you wouldnt mind looking into it. Cheers Romflyer
