  1. Can we get a front and /or side shot of that extra? Pleeeeeease :)
  2. As question states. Nice to do the historical, but 7 different airlines originnally placed orders, and there are many images on Google of a Concorde B1 in Google If that doesnt get you going, howabout a Braniff orange Speedbird?
  3. now offering charter services
  4. I thought the search function was just the end of threads like this, sort of of like saying "over and out". :p
  5. Random mixes have to be called in the textureset, along with the total number and start (typically 000) and end points (0xx) As to your 5-6 types, what I do is have the most common as "decal", then the different ones as whatever they are in the lineup (decal007, decal014 etc). It will default to the standard decal unless the specific one is selected. Finally, I've grown to preferring to group most decals as serials. Like I said it will still select the main one but allows for differences (Like transports for MAC and then a few in the ANG) Kevin, i'm on my tablet on break from driving, otherwise I would show the lines for random decals
  6. View File IDF/AF "Anak" skin for Veltro's C-97 This mod represents the Israeli Air Force's Stratofreighter tankers. It has several historically accurate serials based on available photographs and a decal sheet set. For simplicity I chose to release this as a skin for the C-97G rather than ini editing the radomes off for a proper B377. Included One skin for the aircraft and one folder for the decals Required Veltro2k and Wrench's C-97G Stratofreighter mod : http://combatace.com/files/file/15862-sf2-boeing-c-97-cargo-hc-97-ars-pak/ Installation download, unzip, allow merging. should not need overwrite permission. Research material: Google image search, IsraDecal 1:72 IDF B377 Stratofrieghter decal set Credits Veltro original model and skin Wrench general layout of decal.ini and tga, skin psd (extra thanks, saved alot of time Sir!) daddyairplanes fine tune of decals, Anak skin and decal.ini edits Wrench and NEILS checking that i didn't do too bad a job on this project yes very similar credits to another mod! i hope that you enjoy this mod. 10. CBU-87, introduced '86 but first major use in the first Gulf War. CBU-97 was introduced mid 90s
  11. nice story, but i will disagree with you on this one. 138th TFS NY ANG had the GPU-5 pod when Desert Shield came up. they deployed without the pods. not sure if vibrations from firing were a reason, but couldnt have helped the triple launcher for the Mav's while cool in amount, created drag to the point they were rarely carried. more realistic esp for Fulda Gap scenario is 4x CBU and two Mav's so they can keep speed up and inflict damage over a whole formation of tanks rather than 6 individuals. again in service i dont think the gun pods would have been used much. poss replace by fuel tank or ECM depending on need.
  12. looking over the list again, it can be trimmed from a 6 page list to a 2 page list getting rid of duplicates and planes that are well in hand (Phantoms etc) or known WIP (new Hercs from Dels). I can only view and play with them in Max 15 myself at this time, but that can allow me to game out a plan of action on a few of these for when i can get Max 2009
  13. can't remember where but think someone posted already, as i have that d/l'd already. still of some interest to me as 1. i do better with refurbishing than scratch creation and 2. there are several DAT titles in there. if done up here using those models, then it opens alot esp for Campaigns (Viggen and TSF come to mind )
  14. Not sayin you cant skin them, just that you'll have abit more work than you thought/hoped for. Use mue's lod viewer and you can see your changes near real time
  15. Well the newer page has been far fewer and inbetween on file uploads. And there tended to be a distinct tendency towards Forgetting credits documentation on the old group. (cough cough DC-10)
  16. Wrench, back to airfields, can new ones be made that dont follow the stock pattern? yes i know it will be a major PITA placing things but you also know i've been pushin for joint civilain/mil fields and am relatively willing to put some grunt work into it (and yes ask a million questions while learning it!)
  17. of course when the last B-3 (or whatever it will be designated) goes to the Boneyard, the crew will fly home on a BUFF good to hear the big three will be around though. i dont think the next gen trainer would have been enough to sustain Northrup Grumman.
  18. They might be Giants.....
  19. That is from the old FB StrikeFighters2 page. You can talk to them bout it.
  20. just for you Kevin, weather like it is in Philadelphia not sure if i need to lay exhaust effects on thicker, but pretty close to done with this bird for now. anyone else planning to knock out the IDF/AF?
  21. Guy is amusing, given he guards the stuff like its the recipe for Coke, even though much of the content isnt his.
  22. Well, only had two pics, and one was art. So that serial gots one, if your tellin me they normally didnt, easy to fix. Only a third of the birds in game have them as it is.
  23. small adjustments to the skin itself, few more serials to go
  24. almost there........ time to see what i can do with the skin itself thank you Wrench (for saving me alot of time dancing the decal.ini) and mue (because this will be easier now than it was with the KC-10!!!!)
  25. Handful of pennies from me.... I didnt like how that happens either. Download Gimp (its free), watch youtube and ask questions here. Go forth and make your own. Complaint without solution that you are willing to participate in (more than consumption of end product) is whining. Its never aporeciated, and unless you're paying for something generally not tolerated This is our hobby. Since we are not paid, we do what we want to in the manner and timeframe that we can/want to. Payments have been discussed in other threads, but big consensus is payment makes it work and tajes tge fun out of it fir the modders If you can access the internet, and play SF2, that computer is capable of making skins and tgas (decals) Again, I didnt like squadron on skin either. I went and learned. Probably irrated many old heads round here asking questions but I put in the effort to be able to do it myself. Now I do airliners with many airlines to one skin. I wont take requests, other than to show how I did it. Finally, try modding. You may get to the point where you have to remind yourself on occasson that you can fly in this game as well. Edit: no cookie fir me Erik. Still workin on morning coffee
