Nothing fancy, just a real-world F/A-18F livery applied to the L-39C Extract the file and put it in your L-39C folder, and go fly. It is under "Fictional VFA-122 Desert Scheme. NOTE: I don't monitor these files, so please contact me for any requests or questions on my topic in the DCS area in the Mods/Skinning chat subforum. -

Got a wild hair up my butt for a "VFA-122 Desert" scheme that was originally on a VFA-122 F/A-18F, around 2015-16, decided to put it on an L-39C:
-
Yeah my point exactly. My memory isn't the greatest sometimes, but I'm pretty sure nobody has either.

Apparently this one has been sitting on my hard drive. It's uploaded and available for download, but it's been some time since I did this one:

View File L-39C USN Desert Aggressor I apparently completed this skin years ago, and finally saw it in my livery selection for the bird. If you'd like this to be set for the ZA please let me know in my topic, "Flanker562's Paint and Body Shop" as I don't monitor files once they're uploaded. I'm no modder but I never seen anybody do that. There may be a workaround, but I highly doubt it. I mean nobody has attempted it, and if they have, they didn't talk about it.
-
Well I got nothing but time (no pun intended, sorta), so I can see if I can do it.
-
I like the lore and how they do the camo and markings on planes, and find them pretty cool, but never made me invest in the franchise. I mean when you play flight simulators (okay SF2), I'm not looking into arcade games, so it just turns me off when I hear about it.
-
And you are who? Lol
-
How about posting here instead of News? This is not news in the sense of a topic.

The SFP1 Dev A-Team is still active? Their website still works?

Since when lol? -
Just a simple "TF160 Mechanic" I came up with, for the TF160 faction. Nothing special but could be a crewmember on the MH-60 DAPs anyway, so if you need to repari something, you have a facion specific unit to mess around with.

Looks like somebody will have to fix the ini to solve the issue.

Not to my knowledge. There are some skins and other bits that modify the stuff, like skins. As far as complete models no. There is a feud of sorts going on so and capun made it clear that we can't upload (we had some issues with one Modder on here with approving his files, and that caused some drama of sorts) full models onto this site. Wrench or the other Admins can comment on this of course, but that's how I understand the situation as it is now. -
Damn man, where's the Time Machine and can I take a spin in it? Lol
-
Anyway, I redid the mount for the refeulling receptacle on the MH-92s as well. It was kinda janky and figured that in 2035 or whenever the helo was made (never made any lore for this, just made it up and such), the mount would be less invasive and such in the cockpit area. So that's something I guess.

I mean it looks pretty cool (this iteration at least) and never thought the A-7 was ugly. It has nice lines for a ground attack plane. I never liked the F-8 though, I think it looks stupid.
-
Okay there's an update this Sunday at least, I added the bits and bobs to the MH-92s and it looks better actually with more "high-tech stuff" and such. I don't think much will come after that, pending user requests and such. If I were to pursue a quad-rotor helo it'd take some time but otherwise not interested right now and see if Kitsune will come through with it.

If you look at the prices that you pay for DCS and such, 100 bucks + free mods here (and there too) makes it a frakkin bargain. Not only do I have to not worry about missing a CLC aircraft or whatnot that was put out through the years, but again, I've paid nearly a thousand dollars for DCS alone (okay not that much, but if you buy everything it'll add up quick, and let's not forget hard drive space), SF2 is a better deal by far. Besides as mentioned, you don't need to spend more money buying all the various games and the DLCs. It's far cheaper by any stretch of the imagination, because if I bought two modules for DCS, then it would easily be over 100 dollars. No, while you're right, SF2 is 17 years old, people are still eeking out content and did I mention that I don't have to (even if I didn't get a subscription), I have access to more content (I mean we've been going through the files, but if you look at the amount of files, it's a lot). So if I didn't play DCS I could play a fairly decent flight sim (I mean yeah got it, it's aged), but again, spending 100 beans (or equivalent) is just a steal.

I'm busy redoing some skins I did for DCS right now, so I'll do that and found some inspiration when watching Quiggs on his livestream do some stuff for his MV-35. I'll put some sensors around the MH-92s and stuff to jazz it up (won't affect any gameplay) during the week, but again it's going to be light work, and nothing extensive, just stuff to make it look cool. Other than that, I teased the idea of for some "realistic" .45 ACP rounds, but converaations noted that the round performs okay in-game, so more than likely I won't do anything with a custom ammo mod for the game. I'm just at a point where not much needs to be done. And people are asking about that quad-rotor Chinook, so somebody else can do it, or maybe I'll break down and make one, who knows.
