Thanks, it was a good thing to work on with the team and all too. They did most of the work, I just did the textures and so on.

Stealth really isn't the reason, or the lack of stealth, but I got killed by an Su-27 that snuck up on me and shot me down. I mean if the RWR was functioning properly I would have not been hit like that. But yeah I guess the Tomcat has it's charms to some people. I flew it around a bit (TMF and stock) and never really got that much interested in it. I like flying strike missions a lot so that's a reason why I fly the Super Hornet compared to other aircraft. It's a bit of a lemon yes, but I can get to most places fine with it. I've also flown the A-6E and enjoyed it as well, nice plane for Cold War era flying.

Fair enough I guess, but I don't fly it enough to really care anymore in all honesty. I flew it for a little bit, but in a high threat environment I wouldn't use it.

I honestly don't think DCS has hidden costs, they're pretty upfront about how much things are in my opinion. But I can't have DCS on my laptop due to the file size, I just don't have the room to play it right now, and not motivated to fly either. SF2 is a good game to just fly around and blow things up without having to learn a lot about it. I do like the complexity somewhat, and of course, wish it was in SF2 (that horse has been beaten to death though), but it is what it is and it's a nice distraction from other games.

Sometimes I don't mind fighting the old birds as they rack up kills for me. Only when more modern jets come out do I worry. And no problem

I don't think it's possible as I run a modern install and they rarely show up. I think you're just going to have to deal with it.

That used to be a problem with me lol but I usually place it far enough away so that doesn't happen. But I haven't flown in a while so I'll tweak it to see what I can do.

Pretty much, no code no fixes, and I don't think TK will give it up, so we're nowhere.

You gotta respect his opinion though and viewpoint. I mean I got that way with modding in Arma 3. If nobody really wanted it, why bother?

Me: F/A-18F with 4 x AIM-9X and 9X-2s (see description for more), 6 x AIM-120Ds, gun, fuel tank Enemy: GKABS Su-35BM with 4 x R-74s and I think 4 x R-27R or T, GSh-301 gun with 150 rounds This is more or less what I expect when fighting the Su-27/35 and it didn't disappoint. The problem I'm noticing with the Super Hornet is that I'm blacking out way too much and that really keeps me from exploiting the maneuverability of the aircraft. The average pilot can sustain 9Gs and I think I need to make that happen. Otherwise, the Su-35 has less of a UFO flight profile and allows some work needed to get a kill. Personally if you can pop it via BVR then I'd recommend it of course, as the blacking out has to go in regards to my aircraft. I just simply can't fight at 7Gs (I think that's the issue, but I could be wrong).
