Did you put the folder in the Objects/Gun folder? That can be the issue with why it's not making a sound, and probably not doing any damage anyways when you fire. OR if you did put the gun folder in the Objects/Gun folder maybe it's not listing the sound. If so then open the 30MM_GAU8_data.ini file and go to GunFireSound= and put the name of the sound after the = sign, so it should look like this: GunFireSound=GAU8

Altering AI behaviour.

I'll second that, as when I did use a wingman I would give him Mavericks as I know he would hit with those instead of bombs, in which he'd miss or whatever when executing an attack run -
Altering AI behaviour.

That's why I don't fly with AI wingmen, they're just a hassle to manage and you eventually complete the mission yourself anyways. -
I've used a tablet before (forgot, think it was a Wacom) and found it a different way to do texture work, but I do most of my stuff on mouse now. Pros for me was it was another way to do skinning (didn't do much but it worked out fine), mainly weathering. Cons it was a USB tablet so it took up a USB slot on my laptop. Other con is you might lose the pen (had some velcro put on it to attach it to the tablet). But that was years ago. I don't say it's a bad investment, just that I was capable using my trackball mouse better.

Auto-flaps.
Flanker562 replied to alexis99's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Yes there is (if the cockpit was done right on the VRS SuperBug) that you can have manual flaps on the real jet. Don't know if they're used of course but I'm sure the option exists. As for auto-flaps I tend to stick with it and ride out the region (last trap I had full fuel, just simply moved the waypoint up to the landing cycle. But I tend to leave the auto flaps on and just do what I gotta do when I fly (rarely now). -

You used to be able to talk to Snoopy back in the days of WOV and so on, but now in SF2 he no longer exists. You can still do CAS missions but no Snoopy or calling ground forces. Also no refuel in SF2, that is all in SF1. -

Auto-flaps.

I come in around 250 knots or so (or realistically 200 or so) and trap fine. A bit way fast but I don't sink and it seems that I can keep the bird from sinking like you describe when I did carrier landings, everything else I managed to keep from sinking. I can see about recording a video if it'll help -

Go to your C Drive and find Users and there you will find your name as a folder (the one you setup). Open that folder and you should see "Saved Games" at the bottom. Then when you open that folder you'll see Thirdwire -
That could be the reason why you're having to do that. Install all in the same directory and then just use one game to play. It'll automatically "sense" the other content from the games and then you'll have a merged game.
