  1. Second. If I'm a whisker above treetops about to move serious amounts of mud and my RWR kicks up a fuss, I want to be dumping a whole stack without having to repeatedly hit my flare button. Besides, I like having the smokey angel just 1 button press away.
  2. It should have come with the associated sound files. Did you put them in the correct path? ie. "(Your drive)/Strike Fighters/Sound" Alternatively, in the F-14 Data.ini, there should be an entry similar to the following [sound] WindSoundName=USNwind StallSoundName=USNstall EngineSoundName=USN2 <<---------------------Change this to 'Jetengine' and this should solve your sound problem AfterburnerSoundName=Xle2 DamagedEngineSound=USNovsp FlapsSoundName=USNflaps AirbrakesSoundName=Airbrakes GearsSound=Gear Otherwise, just grab the F-14s from Column5 and follow the instructions and you should have noisy Tomcats, armed to the teeth in no time flat! As for the burners, you can cut and paste the info in, but just try adding the fresh Column5 ones first. I use those ones and they work straight out of the box...
  3. How much does the guy saying "That's one crazy sombish" around the 40 second mark sound like Hrntfxr??
  4. No kidding? He was the one of the best big men of his generation. Best power forward I've seen play! And to think people though Penny Hardaway was gonna be the next MJ! Where is he now??
  5. If Webber's still playing for the Pistons, go Detroit!
  6. After smiling and giggling like a little girl at this, something struck me. I thought that wang was flying pretty steady despite not being the most aerodynamic body part. Anyways, I found out why. It was using counter rotating blades. Now how's THAT for trainspotting??
  7. Could this problem be relative to the cockpit animation too? I've noticed a lot of aircraft I've ported over from WOE tend to open up shortly after they begin rolling for takeoff. I sorted my probs out but killing the animation so everything stays fixed... ...but that ain't gonna help you Johnny Reb, sorry. Is it your Bday today Z? If so, have a good one!
  8. One word.... Winamp. ...although, I do have to say that my choice of background ambience is Yes Prime Minister.
  9. That's a direct port of the FSX model????
  10. For my buds and I, sometimes the aircraft seem a little hit and miss when we have a local server set up, despite all of us having identical copies of the 3rd party aircraft. ALthough that may be due to factors outside of the scope of the game. Our server machine is an absolute mofo to work with sometimes...
  11. Well, I haven't even started yet. If you woulf like to do the honours, don't let me get in your way...
  12. Damn... That's what I was afraid of... ...think I'm gonna have to whip up some pylons in gmax when I get some free time.
  13. Btw, the two larger inner pylons on an Su-33 aren't spaced equally. The wing folding mechanism is located between two pylons, so it has to be offset slightly.
  14. Oddly enough, I asked FC about this very issue a few days ago. I was trying to make a variant for myself that was essentially just an Su-27 with the additional hardpoints. I figured I'd follow FC's instructions about adding the Su-33 mini mod, except not actually adding the canards. Only, after doing this and removing the entry for the canards, I noticed that the canards were still being applied to the aircraft. Since the canards were blue, I figured they were using my existing canards so I went about creating a new plane who's file name and inis were named Su-26 (in game it was still an Su-27). This time, no canards, but no pylons either... I've missed something...
  15. I believe that's the HD patch for the thirdwire series...
  16. By MF, I was referring to Marcfighter dude. But it's all a moot point now.
  17. Wow, I'm digging this Mig! It's kinda giving me the impression of a Soviet Thud.
  18. Yeah Stratos, those have been out for a while now. You gots to checkout the downloads section more often!
  19. Didn't MF lose a bunch of stuff after a HD meltdown or something?
  20. Nice one! Personally, I'm a bit partial to: Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4 Morbid Angel - Dominate White Stripes - Black Math Cosmic Psychos - Thank your mum for the rabbits ALthough, there's not a lot of solos in Freeform or NRG, so I'm not really a fan
  21. Daaaaaamn... if I had toys like that in my neighbourhood, the bastard who screams down my lane and almost sideswipes my car every second day would be trying in vain to buff out the slug holes that mysteriously appeared in bonnet and windshield overnight...
  22. Personally, I'd go the 'asking the author' and explaining to them what it is you want to do. 99% of them will understand why you're trying to do what it is you're doing but I'm positive they won't let you release it if it's just a tweak. Otherwise, Hinchinbrooke's right. There are quite a few places that would have basic models for you to play around with that you could download. Although, you might have to shop around for a Hunter F.6. Just try a google search and see how you go from there
  23. Nice one! I'll be looking forward to this one for sure!
  24. That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell. The Superbug was designed as a conventional, albeit it advanced, sort of back up strategy should things go awry with the A-12 Avenger and the NATF. Since the A-12 evolved into a kinda black hole for funds with next to no result, even threatening the funding for building new carriers at one point, it was decided to kill it off. Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure the NATF was threatened but the A-12's ballooning needs for funding or maybe not, but I'm pretty sure that's how I read it to be.
  25. Oh, I forgot to mention Sleater Kinney! "All hands on the bad one" and "The Woods" were outstanding! My favourite ladies of rawk!
