  1. Nothing at all changed with rockets, and kills have always been possible with them, but you may have forgotten to put the hard core DM patch back on if you had it..
  2. and then you plonk 10 litres of castor oil on your goggles ... ;)
  3. Frog, thanks for making it easy for the guys here. One thing, could you add a readme with a credit to OBD Software in the download please if you included any original files from OFF?
  4. Thanks for a detailed and considered review Gremlin. Cheers.
  5. The link I posted explains at the top a modern Immelmann is a half loop and roll, then nearer the bottom it explains the original WW1 that Immelmann did is a high energy pass, pull up some and already be using rudder to come back down, i.e. maybe a 1/4 of a loop, maybe roll a little too.
  6. If you upgrade graphics drivers, or change a graphics card CFS3 will always say this. CFS3Config needs to be setup again as you have found Cat.
  7. May help.. http://www.furball.warbirdsiii.com/krod/ACM-immelman.html
  8. No worries, maybe you have in cloud effect turned off, then for sure you would not know you were in one.
  9. The in cloud effect in cfs3config only turns off the visual foggy effect.. just look a few threads down.. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=39851
  10. Super bit of footage thanks Cat
  11. AI is not effected. Same as vanilla CFS3. It is what it is, we have looked at it at length and we have no solution to making it happen less, or optional. We have spent enough time on this without going over it here again.. time to go do some useful work :)
  12. Don't forget the Camel killed inexperienced pilots (no retry refly ;)) not experienced ones as such. In experienced hands if they made it that far, it was deadly.
  13. Put hard core DM on at least then the craft will stay flying long enough for you to flame ;) Also aim for the engine area and fire from an angle not directly behind.
  14. Yep cycle through missions for shorter one, lean out the engine and reduce throttle- especially before warping, and land at a nearer/forward airbase on return leg
  15. We have looked, several times, spent a lot of time on it, (this was discussed in the forum recently too) and cannot see where it can be disabled. Maybe in a future version we can spend many more hours on it. It is dangerous to fly into cloud and sometimes yes you cannot avoid nature, fly away, cancel the mission whatever.
  16. Hannover had a make over, so please don't ignore it :) AI gunners will engage enemies shouldn't need you to prod them with the targetting, but if there's a problem can help. Camel is good but tricky to fly, did you auto trim it or change to easy FM ?
  17. Pflaz was changed to correct AI low alt issues, so it will behave differently in some situations.
  18. Thanks for letting us know Test Pilot
  19. How are you launching the sim? From campaign or Quick Combat?. If you choose "mission" then you will start at the gui, and have to then click on the medal and go through the left hand menu to eventually fly. Just go to Quick Combat and see, or try a campaign from OFF Manager?
  20. Yes if you are in haze or fog you may be inside a cloud. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=39793
  21. Great glad you are up and running Deer Hunter, happy Easter
  22. Easy FM was never tested, or designed to be used ever that's the problem. Those options were legacy CFS3 settings. We cannot make easy FM's without altering ALL the realistic FMs.. it would take many moons to make new FMs so that's not going to happen unfortunately. OFF is a realistic sim so that has to be our priority. Maybe something will come up but at the moment what we have is the only way. Trimming out the craft is not the point, most craft did not have trim, especially in flight, that's part of the whole point of flying WW1 craft, they are very early aircraft with many inherent faults. Turbulance in clouds cause you to spin oddly or violently without warning, even fly upwards etc Wels - avoid clouds. Also hitting other craft
  23. Great glad you like it Lou. We worked a long time on the camel even from before Phase 1 of OFF, refined over the phases. Originally I worked with Hans "Stickshaker" who tested with great feedback to get the feel right. There is a lot of torque and gyroscopic effects added. Recently we checked through and WM improved roll rates on many craft including the Camel, plus finally I had the CoG placed more accurately now it feels right with a strong tail heavy feel. If used correctly with concentration and care it is a fabulous aircraft, but yes deadly to the pilot too if you are careless.
  24. No I was answering your first question sorry. Never tried MP.
  25. 1. Messing around then you may need need to do a Reset CFS3 in workshop, otherwise in game if you have one view that shows no craft at all, then press F3 to unhide the cockpit? ;) 2. Make sure you have latest patches applied. See the FAQ if you have a non English OS. 3. Turn off manager warnings in workshop if they are only reporting unavailable skins. Although we have 3200+ skins, we do not have every paint of every craft ever in WW1.
