Ladies and Gentlemen, On behalf of the entire BMS development team, I am happy to announce that the latest iteration of the Microprose Falcon 4.0 total conversion modification - Falcon BMS 4.38 - is available for you to enjoy RIGHT NOW! DISCLAIMER: This is a complete new install… Do not try to update on top of previous Falcon BMS versions or Falcon 4.0 WARNING: OpenXR toolkit needs to be removed / disabled (non compatible with BMS and discontinued!!!) BMS 4.38 requires a legit installation of a Falcon 4.0 (all older and newer versions are accepted alike, i.e. Microprose, Hasbro, GOG, Steam, Retroism). The check is performed both at setup time and every time you start BMS. If no valid installation is found, BMS will exit with a corresponding error message. For those of you who are new to Falcon and still need a legacy Falcon 4.0 license, you’re lucky, as there are various season sales going on. Steam GOG This mod may not be used for any commercial purposes. Any such use may constitute a violation of the intellectual property of Microprose and the non-commercial Terms and Conditions under which Benchmark Sims make this mod available to you. After the update, when starting BMS, the version string in the BMS UI will now read: FALCON BMS 4.38.0 (X64) BUILD 2960 Be advised that experimental arm64 exe are available! Changelog: https://www.falcon-bms.com/changelogs/falcon-bms-4-38-0/ A big THANK YOU to everyone in the BMS development team, our dedicated beta testers and to the gents from Microprose who made this release possible! Now download and enjoy! Download: https://www.falcon-bms.com/downloads/ Above text from Benchmark Sims

MiG-29A Fulcrum Pre-purchase The MiG-29A remains one of the most famous fighters in the world due to its outstanding performance characteristics, reliability, and simplicity of the weapons systems. It is capable of performing high-alpha manoeuvres that make it deadly in close air combat. In addition to the R-73 and HMS, the MiG-29A is also armed with medium-range radar-guided missiles, a 30mm cannon, and unguided bombs and rockets. The Mikoyan MiG-29A has been operated by 39 air forces since its introduction in the 1980s, and approximately more than 100 are still in service. Key Features: Early Access features Fully interactive and highly detailed cockpit based on 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry. Highly detailed and accurately reproduced external model. Highly detailed pilot model with HMS. In-depth modelling of aircraft systems and equipment. Navigation System modes: POINT-TO-POINT mode for flying along a given route and flying to a programmed point; RETURN mode for performing a return to one of the three programmed airfields; LANDING mode for landing at both programmed and non-programmed airfields; and TRAFFIC RE-ENTRY mode for performing a re-approach to a programmed airfield in case of go around. Detailed model of the Gyro Systems with Fast and Long Alignment modes and onboard navigation equipment. The ability to program three airfields, three RSBN radio navigation beacons, and three navigation points during the mission creation phase and while flying the mission. Realistic modelling of the SPO-15LM “Beryoza” radar warning receiver and flare dispenser system. Fire Control Radar (FCR) with search and tracking modes for air targets that includes HEAD ON, PURSUIT, AUTOMAT, TWF and CLOSE COMBAT modes. Infrared Search and Track (IRST) and Laser Range Finder (LRF) with modes for air targets: INFRARED (IR), CLOSE COMBAT, HELMET, OPTICAL (OPT) and Boresight. LRF can be used to measure target range with automatic IRST tracking. LRF can also be used to measure slant range for ground attacks. Ground attack modes that include Pre-Designate OPT for use with moving targets and in windy conditions; Non-Pre designate OPT for use with stationary targets and in calm conditions; and TOSS when bombing is conducted with a 110-130 degree pitch angle. In order to expand the combat capabilities for a covert attack on an aerial target and counter electronic countermeasures, the interaction of the FCR and IRSTS/LRF has been modelled. The Kinematic Range Determination Method (KRDM) has been modelled for FCR and IRSTS/LRF. In the absence of target range data, this method provides precise range measurement. Basic Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) modelling. Early Access Guide. Interactive Training missions. Full Russian cockpit and localisation of avionics, cockpit and technical inscriptions in English. At Final Release: Ground Control Intercept (GCI) command system. Full IFF modelling. Full Flight Manual. Campaign by Eagle Dynamics. Increased number of missions and liveries. Pre-Purchase Today! Don’t miss the exclusive 30% discount during the pre-purchase phase. Hurry! This offer only lasts until launch. Once released into early access, the discount will be reduced to 20% off. The DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum will be available on Steam at a later date. Thank you again for your passion and support, Yours sincerely, Eagle Dynamics

Can't see properly HSD in F-14A+ cockpit (ods mod)
MigBuster replied to Sovpietv2's topic in General Discussion
Hello Not sure what could be done about that. I assume changing the original 3D pit model would be required to remove the stick. So basically a 3D moddeller with the original files - but might be a bit late now. -
Two have been removed.

Boeing wins NGAD fighter contract

So F-47 Peashooter II then. -
One of the places - bottom right in the main screen will say Jul 2013. If it is heaviliy modified do not touch anything.
-
The game recognises my TM Warthog stick fine without doing anything (Windows 11). If it is not recognising that then one thing would be to right click on the SF2 game icon and run it as Administrator. Can only assume the game is patched to 2013?
-
It is on these diagrams............doesnt say what its purpose is.............contact fuse is further back. Says a direct hit is needed for detonation.

Downloads are subscription only now. Minimum is a trial subscription. regards

Hi there - scanning through the policy that should be okay - thanks. I take it you are related to the development of the Game?

New but retro looking Flight Sim / Game with Strike Fighters level Terrain / GFX and clicky cockpits for Meta Quest VR. Has Ten flyable jets including Me262, Meteor F.3, T-33, but you need to earn money to buy planes. Is Early Access so use at own risk. Falcon 4 BMS - updated Falcon 4 with VR, gfx and everything else. cheap as well.

The issue would be related to the flight model you are using then I guess. The max speed limit from the Manual on the F-104G is M2.0 and less on a hot day, as one factor is air inlet temperature. So overspeed basically.
-
Do not see that on the F-104G in Nato Fighters for example (M0.9 and M1.2) , if anywhere would expect that was only possible at high speed at lower altitudes. Are you on Hard flight model in settings? Not an easy answer..................however above 350KCAS the F-104G was generally near F-4 performance in parts of the envelope (depends on versions as well). Turning was done at speed with the manouvre (landing) flaps down. High and Trans/ Supersonic is where the real thing was designed to operate in its original air superiority role, and those wings work better there, and made the real thing pretty maneverable there, at speed.

Only conflict A-G photos I have are carrying 4 x MK-84, 1 x ALQ-119 and 2 x AIM-9 (P-3) although 2 - 4 Ls can go on there. Maverick use was supposedly common in the early 80s with F-16 IDF pilots but no evidence of their usage in 82 (IDF F-4 pilots had a lot of success in this environment) Typically as to this day you can see they use all 4 pylons for bombs in the inventory and don't always use tanks for such short distances.
-
Photos from that show what must be ALQ-119 when used. AIM-9L and AIM-9P-3 both new at the time. Typically 4 only carried in a mix …….they were short of AIM-9L apparently.

Simple Model Request thread
MigBuster replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
I cant tell from the side view of the model ...as you can see in the photos Israeli Block 5/10 also got bigger horizontal stabs from the Block 15 starting in the mid 80s (this did not make them Block 15) -
