MB-339 Release The MB-339 is an Italian, single engine, twin seat, jet trainer and light attack aircraft that was derived from the Cold War MB-326. The aircraft entered service in the early 1980s and quickly became the primary trainer of the Italian Air Force. The MB-339 was exported and many are still in service. Flown by the Armada de la República Argentina (Argentine Navy), this aircraft took part in the Falklands-Malvinas war. It was also used by the Eritrean Air Force against rebels, smugglers, and the Ethiopian Air Force. Historic operators of the A version of the MB-339 were the Air Forces of Italy, Malaysia, Nigeria, Peru, United Arab Emirates, Argentina and Ghana. Thanks to its superb flying qualities, the MB-339’s PAN aerobatic version is also used by two national aerobatic teams: The “Frecce Tricolori” (Italian Air Force) and the “Al Fursan” (“The Knights” – UAE Air Force). The MB-339 is the only jet aircraft capable of performing the famous Lomcovák maneuver. The MB-339 will be released in an almost feature-complete state. Some of the most interesting features available at release include: A highly advanced Flight Model based on performance and engineering data from the real aircraft. Furthermore, the flight model has been deeply tested by former MB-339 Frecce Tricolori pilots. Extensive and detailed simulation of all flight systems: Flight control system. Full electrical system including circuit breakers logic. Detailed hydraulic system. Fuel system. Oxygen and pressurization systems. Navigation systems: TACAN, VOR/ILS, and AHRS/GPS including the possibility to load a custom data cartridge. Blind flying hood. Radios compatible with SRS and DCS voice. 3. Can you map it to another key and does it work? Is SF being run as admin? If you copy an exe from the main install and call it Allen1 then run it - it will create a new mod folder called Allen1 - so you could try that and see if tab still works in the new game. for reinstall - best would be to make a copy of your mod folders as backups before you do anything. After reinstall create new empty mod folders by running the relevant exes You may be able to copy most of the files back in - but I think the Aircraft folders may need to be done individually. If it is not done properly the game will copy all the default aircraft into the Aircraft folder after you put in the mods - which might cause problems.
  4. There is a way - might not be that simple though You would have to look at this and see how it was done in the files.
  5. Brilliant - well done and hope it turns out for the best.
  6. You can contribute to the discussion in this forum https://combatace.com/forums/forum/342-wtr-general-discussion/
  7. The latest iteration of the Tommo Inc Falcon 4.0 total conversion modification - Benchmark Sims 4.36 U3 - is available for you to enjoy RIGHT NOW! BMS 4.36 U3 requires a legit installation of a Falcon 4.0 (all older and newer versions are accepted alike, i.e. Microprose, Hasbro, GOG, Steam, Retroism). The check is performed both at setup time and every time you start BMS. If no valid installation is found, BMS will exit with a corresponding error message. U3 is an incremental update on top of 4.36 base + U1 + U2, so you need to have the BMS 4.36 Full Installer package and Update 1 and Update 2 available on your PC. You can both update your existing 4.36 base + U1 +U2 installation as well as perform a fresh 4.36 base + U1 + U2 + U3 installation from scratch, as you like. See the installation instructions below for details. This mod may not be used for any commercial purposes. Any such use may constitute a violation of the intellectual property of Tommo Inc and the non-commercial Terms and Conditions under which Benchmark Sims make this mod available to you. Installation instructions (they will be shown as well once you run the U3 installer): DESTINATION FOLDER: Update 3 must be targeted at the original Falcon BMS 4.36 Setup folder, NOT at your Falcon BMS installation location! After the update installer has been finished, it will run the Falcon BMS Setup program to either apply the update to an existing BMS 4.36 base + U1 + U2 installation (choose ‘Manage product updates’), or perform a fresh 4.36 base + U1 + U2 + U3 installation from scratch. Please refer to: WIKI Installation page to see how to proceed with BMS update.
  8. Some things just wont be the same - she did her role with dignity through so much change
  9. CLMax = Maximum coefficient of Lift so will change the flight characteristics like the other aero coeffs. Loft is usually associated with angle it is launched at but don't remember for this. Must be some old posts out there with some of this info on. Does the target have any countermeasures?

  11. Went from 24" to a 4K 32" and (running at 1440p regardless) - I find it okay at standard arms length distance on desk for everything I do on a PC. I don't run anything at 144hz though.
  12. Blimey - might be worth searching through old threads on here or any sim forums really............only tip I can give you is never try to turn with an aircraft that can out turn you - something learnt in WW1 the hard way no doubt. You need to learn Energy management when using the vertical, you need to learn a few tactics using your wingman. Even basic BFM is a massive subject that needs a lot of practice. Do you have anything like Track IR for any kind of in close maneuvering..........takes a while to get used to but can really help get used to a 3D environment (sounds obvious but really is not) The missiles need to be fired in parameters to stand any chance if you are managing 1/4 then yeah that sounds about right. WOV had more historically accurate missiles than SF2V from what I remember is the only sim that has ever modeled missile failures (they can easily be tweaked). The technology of this era was not robust enough (total crap) and the missiles PKs were less than 0.10 in some cases - but again a big subject. Even with a lot of declass actual combat firings tweaking missiles to be totally accurate is probably not viable. There is no doubt a ton of Vietnam stuff out there and your perception will change the more you look at it. There are some F-4 in Nam things I wrote here years back that might be of interest - or at least the sources list - good luck.
  13. The Drive is often just a rumor followed by 90% speculation so tend to ignore it.................. but they have taken it from a US gov briefing transcript (that the Drive article does not link to that I can see). https://www.defense.gov/News/Transcripts/Transcript/Article/3134558/senior-defense-official-holds-a-background-briefing/
  14. I would say Aspect Ratio - is that on a single monitor? try Aspect Ratio = 2.4 cant check anything at the moment.

  19. 10 June 2022 Dear Fighter Pilots, Partners and Friends, This week we released DCS 2.7.15.25026 to Open Beta with many new enhancements and fixes that can be viewed in the full change log. Most notably, we are pleased to announce that DCS: South Atlantic map is now available. To provide time to adequately test, the South Atlantic Assets Pack will be delivered in an upcoming Open Beta update. The South Atlantic map encompasses parts of the Atlantic, Pacific and Southern oceans. Covering southern Argentina and Chile, the map also includes a recreation of the Falkland/Malvinas Islands. We are also pleased to provide you with a free updated external model of the CVN-74 John C. Stennis. This is an initial step in improving the free Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. Thank you for your passion and support. Yours sincerely, Eagle Dynamics DCS: South Atlantic Available now in Open Beta The RAZBAM Terrain Development Team is proud to present the South Atlantic map that is a beautiful and majestic combination of Argentina, Chile, and the Falkland/Malvinas Islands. The topography of the region includes the beautifully rugged mountains of Chile, the vast and colorful Patagonian plains of Argentina, and the windswept islands of West and East Falklands/Malvinas. Covering an area of 3.1 million square kilometres, the team’s goal has been to give the DCS community the opportunity to develop missions that reflect the scale and complexity of modern-day operations in this scenic region. When developing this map, the team was proactive in listening to the DCS community regarding both scale and requirements of modern-day military operations. This provides the best possible experience and leverages land-class textures drawn from aerial and satellite photography. Development of the South Atlantic map will continue, and the team is now moving their focus from the Falkland/Malvinas Islands to mainland Argentina and Chile. They will flesh out the rural areas of the map to provide a more authentic and lived-in look. This will include adding additional buildings, infrastructure, and tidying up vector data (like mountains). Our community's input pushed for the inclusion of mainland and the team dedicated to make it even better. Moving forward, additional airfields will be added throughout the map to provide a diversified area of Naval and Fighter operations. The goal is to include all airfields at a high quality level. More villages, settlements, and road infrastructure improvements will be added across the various regions. The following items will also be further improved during the early access period: Visible tiling around some airfields and at certain view angles. Some angular sea cliffs Forest tiling from some view angles The DCS: South Atlantic map has undertaken a new strategy for generating terrain. Whereas all other DCS maps rely heavily on art-created ground textures combined with satellite textures, the South Atlantic map relies mostly on satellite textures. While this results in a more realistic looking map at medium to high altitudes, ground textures may appear less defined at low altitude. The team is committed to further improving the low-altitude terrain textures. CVN-74 Stennis Free Update We have updated the 3D exterior model of the CVN-74 John C. Stennis aircraft carrier, and are pleased to announce that this update is completely free to all of you. We eagerly await your feedback. Thank you again for your passion and support, Yours sincerely,
  20. The amount of speed you lose when pulling Gs will depend on things including: Current weight. Current Attitude. Current Altitude. Gs being pulled. Current Speed. Throttle position. Current weapons loadout.

    Top Gun 2022

Saw it today and yes very good overall I thought. Have downloaded the free MSFS2020 TopGun Maverick add on so am sorted!
  22. The skin looks okay on that considering I only made it for single seater models. Has the right inlet size - although another externally recognisable feature is the WAR HUD but probably not needed.
  23. Not aware of any difference regarding weapon stations to the single seat version a country may use. One load out chart to cover both usually.
