Well I doubt anyone else is going to admit doing it - and I'm surprised you have because you know damn well its taking the p*** and is not going to make you very popular on here. Really its a hole that needs to be blocked by the admins - everyones got more than 1 email addy. -
Are you playing in single mission mode? I expect any plane from Syria/Jordan/libya/lebanon/algeria/egypt/Iraq can use any of the others red side airbases - and in single mission mode you will be sent to either country randomly - random single missions will never be historically correct - its just a practise mode - also the game is only designed to be flown as an Israeli pilot so wont have been tested fully flying for other sides. If you play a campaign you will see that everything will be more historically correct - even though you may see Libyan Mirages at Egyptian bases that did happen in 1973 as well as Soviet squadrons and I think even Iraqi squadrons flying from Syria.

The original Strike Fighters Gold (2002) and Wings Over Vietnam (2004) did https://store.thirdwire.com/store_p2.htm You might not be able to patch them up though because the later versions use more resources - in fact check before buying online that you are getting the unpatched original version - if not then get a boxed version from Amazon. Even Falcon 4 AF needs a 128MB card so your going to be limited unless you go back in time further.

Force is strong for Jedi police from: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgo...est/8003067.stm Eight police officers serving with Scotland's largest force listed their official religion as Jedi in voluntary diversity forms, it has emerged. Strathclyde Police said the officers and two of its civilian staff claimed to follow the faith, which features in the Star Wars movies. The details were obtained in a Freedom of Information request by Jane's Police Review. Strathclyde was the only force in the UK to admit it had Jedi officers. In the Star Wars films, Jedi Knights such as Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda use the Force to battle the evil Darth Vader, who has strayed to the dark side. Jane's Police Review editor Chris Herbert, who requested the information, said: "The Force appears to be strong in Strathclyde Police with their Jedi police officers and staff. "Far from living a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, some members of the noble Jedi order have now chosen Glasgow and its surrounding streets as their home." Provided voluntarily A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police confirmed: "At the time of the request, 10 (eight police officers and two police staff) had recorded their religion as Jedi." She added that the force monitored "six strands of diversity" - age, disability, gender, race religion and belief, and sexual orientation. The force said the information was provided voluntarily and securely stored. About 390,000 people listed their religion as Jedi in the 2001 Census for England and Wales. In Scotland the figure was a reported 14,000. The Office for National Statistics did not recognise it as a separate category, and incorporated followers of Jedi with the atheists. Last year, brothers Barney and Daniel Jones founded the UK Church of the Jedi - which offered sermons on the Force, light sabre training, and meditation techniques. Strathclyde Police employs 8,200 police officers and 2,800 civilian staff.

Was the headline main news all day yesterday in the UK - as it is our worst Sporting disaster Must admit I didn't watch much of it - its quite upsetting seeing all the faces of the 96 - most were so young - and I too remember the day even though I saw the whole thing unfold live on TV. the day changed football forever over here - its much more of a family safe environment these days with much better stadiums. and yes it all points to Police incompetence unfortunately that caused the deaths. its also the reason ive never brought a copy of the Sun (aka scum) newspaper RIP the 96 You'll Never Walk Alone

You could try YAP2 in SF2W and it will go in with a bit of messing around I imagine - but there have been so many changes to the engine since the 2006 version YAP runs at which is why they kept it at the 2006 level. If you did it expect weird things to happen and some of the flight models to be "Interesting"

Mixed SAMs Problem
MigBuster replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I think theres a SAM trails mod somewhere that may help. - assume you are only dealing with SA-6/SA-2 and not with SA-13 /SA-9 etc -
Thats a known problem - happened on XP also that did - there is a solution - search old posts on here or at Frugals world because it was very common

From the BBC US captain released from pirates breaking news The captain of a US container ship taken hostage by Somali pirates has been released, the US Navy has said. According to initial reports, three pirates were killed in the operation to free Captain Richard Phillips. Another is in custody. Capt Phillips is said to be unhurt and on the USS Bainbridge, a warship sent to track the pirates holding him. He was taken hostage last Wednesday after pirates briefly hijacked his ship, the Maersk Alabama. Media reports say Capt Phillips' family was informed of his release several hours ago. Somali elders had been trying to resolve the standoff but most recent reports suggested the talks had stalled.

Aerobatics kills
MigBuster replied to scouserlad13's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Get the AI near the ground and manoeuvre kills are almost a certainty - still at least they do crash in this sim - in F4 I don't think ive seen one enemy AI jet hit the ground. -

Drop Tanks
MigBuster replied to Stick's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Isreali Shahak pilots in the 6 day war seemed to have a policy of dropping them as soon as they got vectored to a target - although this was later changed to only jettison them when they were vectored to an actual bogey - due to waste - which shows its down to aircraft, pilot or orders. In the case of an F-4 ive read USAF pilot accounts that the centerline tank had to go before AIM-7s could be used? -
Happy Easter one and all!
