  1. TREES NOW FADE :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: rest is not important for me hahaha!
  2. This is basically only one effect -modified tracersmoke I use now in my WW2 install, it will be included in the upcoming Unified Effects Pack update as an optional file. It's slightly different from my tracer smoke from WW2 effects pack (2007), looks more like tracer smoke you see in BOB2:WOV extract to your Effects folder please note that without serious modding of the bulletobject.ini file ALL guns share single effect for their smoketrails, which is ok, but if you're going for maximum visual realism , there should be several different smoketrails for different types of guns. I might try to do something about it in the future, but free time and you know, don't want to promise too much
  3. Alles Gute Florian! Cheers! (rises alcohol-free beer-wannabe)
  4. Stunning Pol! What I like in these shots (and also in P3 genrally) is that the any given environment images look complete to me be it plane graphics, scenery features, lighting
  5. true on WOP both of you, I still wonder why they didn't 1) removed the mission timer (ugh!) and 2) make more believable campaigns... rest is gourgeous immersion wise
  6. No Kulbit, that looks uber awesome
  7. Mmm... writing from City of Krakow, all I can say is THANK YOU my friend! (IF only I had here system capable of running SF2 or for the matter any Dx10 games... will give it some long long tests after returning to the other place )
  8. you put youself (?) very moody tileset there all I see are HR Israel tiles mixed with Tuma's FE fields ones and Formosa city textures... quite interesting results image-complexity wise
  9. try DCS Warthog with cluster set to 500m and 1024xevery frame TV output seriously, nice system, and a bit too much frames to notice as guys above wrote -try adding lots of high resolution, high definition mods (Mirage Factory planes, some terrian mods) to it -you'd be surprised how fast you'll loose all the extra (extra=above 35-40 or so) frames
  10. my fellow TODs making (among other terrains related things) competitor turned one more today happy birthday mate, have a great one! cheers!

hehehe don't know JM, but it's gone now

  12. true to point. I can't understand the "Il2 was also soo bugged and resources hungry at release so STFU" attitude... back in late 2001 I was having a blast with the demo (remember the Aircobra Ju-88 intercept in rain?) running on 1,4 Ghz, 128 MB ram, and 32 MB GF2MX GPU... all smooth, in 800x600. And no, the demo was much less buggy than current COD. (I blame Luthier)

    Happy Birthday

    Happy Birthday Guys!
  14. I love the comment of one guy at SimHQ -the conspiracy that the COD was started as brand new "next gen" engine (2006 shots and vids) but then they realised they can't make it working so back-dated it using modified Il2 one. If you think about it, seems oddly reasonable given all the clues during the years... something went very very wrong with this title at some point few years ago
  15. No -one of my best plastic kits was Revell 1:72 Skoshi (some 17 years ago)
  16. radiator position could be linked to engine temperature, could work ok with radial engines
  17. :salute:
  18. Several era-specific "generic" cockpits I work on: Hawk 75 cockpit:
  19. Why I forgot about it? gonna cut it to pieces
  20. thank you Kevin, will have a look
  21. I'm working on the Curtiss Hawk 75 cockpit (among other things) and I ran into several issues regarding current state of instruments implementation (Series 2 current level, merged) My questons are as follows: suction -any detail on this one? -using placeholder G-load instead cylinders temperature -is modelled? if so -what's the instrument name? prop pitch and mixture level -I guess CEM is not modelled right now? current tank (int/aux) selector? any use? voltage level? any use? I used it as accelerometer in my P-26 pit, so it moves slightly when pusching high G I will use whole sliding canopy as speed indicator (like in some other pits) meaning it will close at lets say 30 MPH -IF I model the rotation of the closing lever and I want to model that small wheel with chain too -should I link the meshes or use independent rotation controllers via separate instruments? Currently they're linked to port side EDIT: which is linked to starboard, quite messy hierarchy I have there TIA
  22. He will be remembered as "The One Who Truly Never Saw It Coming" WW2 time! :sohappy:
