I have to visit hospital tomorrow due to bothed back surgery, so you know where my attitude is coming from. Off to test! As for the map icons issue I wonder if other maps over 1000 km have this issue?
  3. Looks better than Rise of Flight in my opinion! Just advice, I'd repaint those grey concrete factory buildings to more accurate brick buildings, same for their chimneys

  8. you're right again FC, I think of all the modules the WW2 one has the freates chance of being good complete experience, because it boils down to, as you say, firing a gun after all. As for Beczl, that's really sad news given what insane amount of detail they put into this project, at the end we might have only the freeware FC 2.0 version (which I enjoy alot and recomend for all those who decided to stay at that level)
  9. this guys is just showing one fact we must accept flight simulators genre of games reached point in which these no longer can be developed on desired by (many cases, nuts) fidelity level without costing us 200$ a piece, is it good? If someone wants and has the cash, carry on but I'll stay with cheaper less costly options. Simply put, matter of development progress. Also down to the core I think it's really hard to do in fact hobbyst stuff via internet when money is involved and hundreds are watching every of your steps (kisckstarter demand) I think WOFF team is an example that isn't a rule, they succeded more or less (but OFF p3 and WOFF weren't kickstarted which is a major point) of course I think it's all fault of die hard no-compromises hardcore nuts... but you know my opinion regarding who is the biggest enemy of flight simulators
  10. you sir win the internets but that shows sad true nature of us here... we would do 10 pages detailed wishlists but when someone with apparently real skills shows* we do meh on him *given those videos are real, I think these are. This guy in the past did some extensive hex etc modifications to old F-18 series engine, I think Operation Iraqi Freedom to be precise

  14. it's not the point I think of this video, more of what can be done with this engine and I remember alot of his (her?) videos from the past, slewable EO, mesh names selection/editor ingame in real time, volumeric clouds etc

  18. infanty anyone? like, individual units that do act and fight? We had them in Hind times and these were great side note: this CAN be made by making new low poly units and new infantry-specific formation ini entries for sort of say human wave for example (spacing of few meters etc, grup sizes of 50+)

I think sort of vector roads map with v2chicles automatically following them would be more desirable but generally what swambast proposed is the most plausible idea but would require the hardest part, which is TK rethinking his view on modders/3rd party developers support. And I have hard time seeing that happen
