    1. Victor K2 RAF 57 Sqn Camo Skin

Hi folks, this mod adds a new RAF 57 Squadron Camo skin to the excellent Victor K2 tanker, produced by the A-team.

Many thanks and credit to the A-team for producing the K2 and also for granting me permission to post this mod. If there are any problems with this mod then please contact me directly, not the A-team. Thanks.

The 57 Sqn K2 camo skin is derived from the original Victor B2's camo skin, with additions to make it usable with the K2s HDU and refueling drogues. I've also included the 57 Sqn crest, and tail crest.

Installation instructions are included in the enclosed readme file.

Cheers, kind regards, P.T (comrpnt). :-)

    3. Hawker Sea Fury FB.51, MLD 860 Sqn

      Hello all,

Again a release of a Dutch paint job, I have used a skin by Tim Canada.
The Hawker flew with the Dutch for a while. The aircraft of 860 Sqn
were recognisable by their orange spinner and were stationed on
the aircraft carrier HMS Karel Doorman for a while.
The number 6 stands for the letter F, while this is the 6th letter
in the alphabet (! Yep, some creative thinking there) and it stands
for fighter or fighter-bomber. Other aircraft were stencilled with
the number 10, being the 10th letter (J meaning "jager" meaning fighter)
but I think these were all from 3 Sqn recognisable by a white spinner.
These were land based at naval airbase Valkenburg (close to Katwijk).
      For now, enjoy!

PS: Thanks for letting me alter your fantastic skin, Tim Canada!

    5. First Eagles Medals Pack v1.0

      First Eagles Medals Pack v1.0
      ===================

This is an add-on for Third Wire's WWI flight sim, First Eagles ("FE"). The stock FE has a number of limitations on the award of medals (there were only a few medals for each air service, and they could only be won once). This meant that after a short time in service, any pilot you had created in FE could not win any more medals, no matter how successful a mission you flew. I wanted to change that, to provide more medals, and so that a successful mission will bring a medal, even if you have previously won that medal. This package will work with either the stock FE, or FE with the Expansion Pack installed.

The medals which will now be available in FE are as follows:

British medals (Royal Air Force and Australian Flying Corps):
      Victoria Cross
Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (KCMG)
Knight Commander of the British Empire (KBE)
      Distinguished Service Order
      Military Cross
      Distinguished Flying Cross
      Military Medal
      Victory Medal
      Silver War Badge
      Croix de Guerre

      French medals (French Aéronautique Militaire):
      Legion of Honor (Légion d'Honneur)
      Military Medal (Medaille Militaire)
      War Cross (Croix de Guerre)
      Combatant's Cross (Croix du Combattant)
      Verdun Medal
Wounded Medal (Insigne du Blessé Militaire)

German medals (Imperial German Army Air Service):
      Pour le Merite (Blue Max)
      Order of the Red Eagle
      Royal Order of Hohenzollern
      Iron Cross 1st Class
      Iron Cross 2nd Class
      Military Merit Cross
      War Merit Medal
      Wound Badge

      US medals (US Air Service):
      Medal of Honor
      Distinguished Service Medal
      Distinguished Service Cross
      Citation Star
      Victory Medal
      Purple Heart
      Croix de Guerre

    6. Russian Defence Pack

      ZSU-23-4 Pack
      **********************************
This is just a pack with 4 different types of
ZSU-23-4 that will give you a hard time.
Bad News for Helos and A-10's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      Maybe Harriers...............
      @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
      Types:
      # ZSU-23-4 (1964): pre-production and then initial production models.
      # ZSU-23-4V (1968): minor modifications.
      # ZSU-23-4V1 (1972): more minor modifications.
      # ZSU-23-4M (1977): one extra ammunition panier on turret exterior (now three), added an armoured cover for the guns, upgraded fire-control computer to digital, "Gun Dish" radar can operate independently in search mode rather than only slaved to the guns.

These have radar!!! So your aircraft (with RWR) will have a radar warning because
the ZSU-23-4 is tracking you down. If you are in 4 miles or less....
You are screwed... Man aren't you screwed. Just because you have ECM does mean you are safe.
It will still shoot you!!!!! So just take it out or you are dead. Plus
the tracers are set at 1 so you can have bullets in the sky. In night time the
      sky fills up with light.

    8. Formation.zip

This Mod changes the default formation around so that when you're a two ship, #2 is correctly on the right side of you. It also puts him out there a little bit in more of a cruise type formation, not too close.

Other formation changes are to wall and box formations, making them more useful. You will want to put your flight into one of these two formations in the high threat areas to maximize maneuvering and lookout potential.

Wall formation is a "loose deuce" formation for the two ship (section) and line abreast for the four ship (division). Spacing is about half a mile between planes. This is technically too close, but the spirit is there, and also most of the usefulness, without you losing sight of #4 completely.

Box is now a staggered trail formation with lead and #2 in loose deuce and #3 & #4 behind the lead section about a mile, offset to the right. Enemies who see and attack the lead section will turn in front of the trail section.

I added two formations, replacing "arrowhead" (useless anyway) and the "turn radar on" command with "High cover" and "Right Echelon", respectively. Readme for more details.

For those of you who downloaded version 1.0, please download this one and replace it. The added commands weren't referencing correctly.

Thanks to Drdoyo for getting me started.
      Sixgun out.

    12. "Yak-12" from the movie Jet Pilot.

Just a little tribute to an unknown jewel on the silver screen.
A black painted T-33 skin from the movie "Jet Pilot".
      <a href="http://"http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050562/"" target="_blank">http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050562/</a>

In the movie "Jet Pilot" by Howard Hughes John Wayne is a
USAF pilot in a Sabre intercepting a black "Yak-12". He says
a moment later that is surprisingly looks like their T-33.... blablabla
for the rest of the (romantic) story......
It is a very nice movie made between 1950 and 1957 with a very
      nice plane line-up:
      F-86, F-89, F-94, B-50, B-36, X-1, T-33.
All "enemy" fighters in this movie were painted grey and black,
so you can see F-86's and a F-89 in black, as is the T-33.

With many thanks to Column5, Gramps and Pasko who created
      this T-33.

    21. F-94B Starfire, Generic USAF

F-94B "Starfire" Generic USAF Skin for SF, WoV & WoE

A "plain old garden variety" natural metal skin for Pasko's F-94B 'Starfire'. I created it from new templates, based on both the F-80 and F-94 skins (there are several identical bmps between them). It represents no actual squadron, but is closest to the 68th FIS. Hence, the generic "USAF" tagline.
This would be a usefull skin for a Korean-era aircraft, or for any time frame in the early 1950s.
New serial and buzz number decals were created as well, which are based off aircraft serial numbers. The numbers are all actual serials and buzz nums, as issued by the USAF

New damage tga's are provided, for that 'shot up bullet holes' look, if you let the enemy get close enough to shoot you!
A new Loading Screen is also provided. It's a nice color picture I found on the net

PLEASE read the enclose readme for full install instructions and general nonsense.

    23. F-80 ShootingStar, 416th FG (post 1947)

F-80 Shooting Star, 416th FG, circa post-1947 Skin for SF, WoV & WoE

This is a re-vamp of my WW2: 46 PTO P-80 skin into something closer to the post-USAF formation time frame (ie: after October 1947)

This is skin represents aircraft from the 416th FG, the first operational unit to field the Lockheed 'Shooting Star' (albeit the A model, not the C we have - but, what the hay, it works!!). In saying 'revamped', means that I created new templates from the original skin that came with the aircraft upon it's release some years ago, so all glory for the original goes the original skinner.
There are redrawn panel and rivet lines, following the originals.

I've tried to recreate the aircraft nose arts as close as possible to those used by the 416th, and if you have the WW2: 46 PTO version, you'll probably recognize some of them. There ARE historically correct ones; 6 or 7 I think, but for the most part some of the others are just there because I hate to waste good decals ;)

I've also created the "buzz numbers" so prevelant in the post-war period, and into the Korea War, so this skin set will fit nicely into a "Cold War Gone Hot: 1948" scenario, or even a Korean War one.

BE ADVISED -- there may be nudity in some of the nose art decals, which is surely against post-war regs ... If you find beautiful, scantily clad women offensive; see a doctor quickly, as there's probably something very, very wrong with you!!! (excepting our female flyers, of course -- sorry, no beefcake for you! Well, actually, just one)

PLEASE!!! read the enclosed readme for full, detailed install instructions - the notes included will make it much easier for you to get this up and running.

      Happy Landings!

    24. F-89C Scorpion, 57th FIS Skin & Ini Update Pake

F-89C Scorpion 57th FIS Skin and Ini Update Pak for SF, WoV & WoE

      Happy Strike Fighters 5th Anniversery!!!

This little package will give you an revamped skin, based off Volksjager's original, with a full set of updated inis. To make life easy, just about everything is inculded. Exepting the aircraft itself -- you should already have that!!! ;)

--Please Note: this skin is designed to replace the skin folder marked "2" in your original install--

The 'fues1.bmp' has been repainted (from a new template created by me from the original bmp), new decals have been added for the serial, 'buzz', and individual aircraft numbers for 25 birds. This skin represents aircraft from the 57th FIS, "Black Knights", during the mid-1950s.

Modified main, data, cockpit, avionics and loadout inis are included. These reflect changes to operational uses as seen in the "Weapons Fixes and Loadouts" thread I maintain here at CombatAce.

NEW damage tgas are also supplied -- what? you think those Tu-4 gunners are going to sit there and let you shoot them full of holes????
And just for fun, my old Hangar screen is suppled as well.

== You MUST also have the latest weapons pak installed ==

PLEASE read the enclosed readme for detailed step-by-step instructions on getting everything up and running, along with a list of credits and sources.

    25. F-94B Starfire, 449thFIS Skin and Upgrade Pak

F-94B "Starfire" 449th FIS Skin, Decal & Ini Updates for SF, WoV & WoE

      Hello Fellow Fliers!!

This little package will update the original skin for the 449th FIS, by adding new individual aircraft serial and buzz numbers for 26 aircraft. There are also 2 replacement skin bmps, as I had to repaint them to remove the painted on lettering.
It is designed to =replace= the existing skin, with the addition of the new decals. Some of the original decals are reused, and therefore are NOT included. See below in the "TO INSTALL" section for full instructions.

This will give you a nice skin, with the Arctic Red trim for those especially cold climates...such as found in Alaska or NW America. --- and let me tell, ya it really looks good against the snowy backgrounds!!!
Historical accuracy is ONLY claimed on the first 4 serial & buzz numbers, as they were the only ones I had photos of.

Also included is an updated data ini and the cockpit ini that will allow you to use the F-86D cockpit in your Starfire. The cockpit itself is NOT included, you'll have to copy over the cockpit folder from your Sabre-Dog. All inis and a few usefull bmps are provided, to make the switch over as easy as possible. This is Lexx_Luthor's fix, and all credit goes to him

PLEASE!!!! read the enclosed readme for full, detailed, step-by-step instructions, and listing of credits.

      Enjoy!
