This mod is based on dtmdragons Skyhawk II pack, he unfortunately never released. I used it as base and starting
point, but rearranged it a bit, to incorporate new pylons and better reflect updates and the different
      camouflages used during the years.
      Included are the following Squadrons:
      - VMA-131 Diamondbacks (M_82)
      - VMA-142 Flying Gators (M_82)
      - VMA-211 Wake Island Avengers (M_75, M_79, M_82)
      - VMA-214 Black Sheep (M, M_75, M_79, 2x M_82)
      - VMA-223 Bulldogs (M_75, M_82)
      - VMA-311 Tomcats (M, M_75, M_82)
      - VMA-322 Fighting Gamecocks (M_82)
      - VMA-324 Devildogs (M)
      - VMA-331 BumbleBees (M, M_75, M_82)

My thank goes to Dan (dtmdragon) for the Skyhawk II-Pack!

Valuable Information came from 331Killerbee, who worked on the real planes and Muesli - Thanks you guys!

A special thanks goes to RussoUK2004, who was patient enough to help me bring the new Blender-made Pylons to SF2!
Thanks m8, I really appreciate your help!

      v1.02
      - corrected Hitboxes on all 4 planes, as they were shifted forward for unknown reasons
      - corrected some lines on A-4K_Body SpecMap and BumpMap
      - corrected the wrong position of the included sounds-folder
      - included an alternate PilotModel (provided by FanaticModder, made by ????)
      - included some new sounds (provided by FanaticModder, made by ????)
      - included a new 400gal droptank usable on centerline (Thanks cocas for helping with the conversion!)
      - updated loadout.inis to include the new tank

      v1.01
      - fixed a spelling error in the hangar-screens
      - changed VMA-331 (1980) CAG decal from "1st Marine Air Wing" to "2nd Marine Air Wing". The former decal is just renamed for easy switching.

      >>> You can use the Update if you already have v1.01 to just get the changed files! <<<

      Notes:
      - new pylons with different missile rails
      - new ARBS-nose
      - skins in 4096x4096
      - stand-in Kfir-cockpit modified and repainted (no real cockpit available)
      - 400gal Centerline Tank
      - corrected Bump- and SpecularMaps for the M (based on DLC A-4K which has them activated) -
experimental and can for sure be optimized

      Installation:
      1. unzip to a temporary folder
      2. open "Put_Content_In_Your_Mod folder" and do as you were told, if asked to overwrite, say 'yes' :P
      3. enjoy!

If some squadrons are missing in the loadout screen, you should add the following lines in the squadronlist.ini
("<mod>\pilotdata"-folder) with XXX changed to the next free number for the missing squadrons:

      [squadronXXX]
      Name=VMA142 <-- needed for this mod: VMA131, VMA142, VMA211, VMA214, VMA223, VMA311, VMA322, VMA324 and VMA331
DisplayName=VMA-142 'Flying Gators' <-- the actual display text. Names for all squadrons are in "The Mod" section
Nation=USMC <-- USMC for all squadrons

    3. This pack includes:

      F-4A Phantom II (block 1)
      - J79-GE-2 engine (66,7 kN)
      - AN/ALQ-50 radar

      F-4A Phantom II (block 3)
      - J79-GE-2A (71,6 kN)
      - AN/APQ-72
      - AAA-4 IR sensor

I am not a 3D modeller, so I had to use stock F-4B model, with some removed nodes and some textures repainted to mask the most visible differences between F-4A and F-4B, so please consider this mod more as a stand-in, than a fully realistic model of the aircraft.

    4. C-54D Hilo Hatie
      March 2016.
This is fake pilot mod of C-54D by Veltro. Original file can be found here

      http://combatace.com/files/file/14309-sf2-douglas-c-54-skymaster-by-veltro2k/

This mod represents Big Safari modified C-54D for recon flight under code name Hilo Hattie. Modifications included installation of a new night photography capability with photo flash cartridge ejector and Reconflex VI infrared camera.

C-54D 43-17235 began operations on 20 April 1962 with a cover story for aircraft's purpose.
Hilo Hattie mapped all of south Vietnam and border areas of Laos and Cambodia. During 10 months of service, the aircraft flew 102 missions before it was replaced by Brave Bull - Big Safari modified C-97G.

So this mod is mostly for players interested in Wings Over Vietnam.

Decals, skins (based on veltro2k templates) - yakarov.
Hilo Hattie ini work (few lines for fake pilot and weaponstations work) - yakarov.
Fake pilot mod is done by me - yakarov.

      SF2 Douglas C-54 Skymaster by Veltro2K 9/23/2013

      = For SF2, Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED! =

This the release of the Veltro2k's WW2 & Post-War US Cargo aircraft, made most famous by it's use during the Berlin Airlift.

It is REQUIRED that you have some measure of SF2, merged to whatever level, as this mod references the stock An-12's destroyed model. Hence, the need (as I state it always) for a Full 5 Merged install. It is usable without, but you may not have the dead, burning wreckage on the ground. It has NOT been tested in 1stGen SF/Wo* at any patch level. It most likely will =NOT= work, due to LOD coding.

This pack includes the following 4 skins for the C-54:

      OD/Grey, with 1942-43 'star-and-ball'
      OD/Grey, late WW2 (late 43-later), 'star-and-bar'
Natural Metal, Late WW2, to late 1947 (pre-USAF formation)
"USAF", Natural Metal, post 0ctober 1947 (tagged with Military Air Transport badges star-bar w/red stripe).

      The AvHistory engine is included.
Skins are in jpg format, and decal radomization is set to TRUE for all. ALL markings are decals. The damage textures are in DDS format. The template is included for other skinners (and in the hopes someone can clean up the mess I made of it!!
Each skin has it's own Hangar Screen, matching the paint job (more or less).
The cargo loading door/ramp opens and closes with the standard Bombay key (Control/0).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, give the "Notes" section a read, in particular on operational usage, and the FM and other stuff like that there.

      Happy Landings!

    5. F-89 Scorpion Pak for SF2 6/4/2010

      -- Version 2, 3/3/2016 --

This package includes the full set of F-89 Scorpions, from MontyCZ's original C & D version, PLUS the variant mods I'd created, giving the H, J (Early) and J (Late). The various readmes for the sub-variants are included in their specific aircraft folder, just for historical purposes.

This package has been peaked and tweeked for use in SF2 =ONLY=, and is NOT designed for use on SF/Wo* series 1st Gen sims. It makes use of certain elements found ONLY, and usable ONLY, in SF2.

Everything is included -aircraft, inis, skins, decals, weapons, pilots. =EXCEPT= a cockpit. Due to changes in SF2's internal coding, these aircraft now make use of the stock in-game F-4B via ini edits that through sorcery now reach back into the cat files, and create usable cockpits without the need of a cockpit folder. How this works, I don't know or care; but that it =does= is a wonderful thing!!

On such aircraft that have operating canopies (those that use the F-89D lod), the canopy works via the Standard Manual Animation Keystroke ™, shift/0.

This package is designed to REPLACE the original set, and will drop right over it, providing you have it already. If you don't, no worries! Just install as normal.

As always the standard, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them!

      Good Hunting!

    6. The first production model of the Crusader was the F8U-1,which was later redesignated the F-8A. It first flew on September 20, 1955, and 318 were built between 1956 and 1958. The initial order had been for 448 aircraft, but the last 130 were delivered as F8U-1Es (F-8Bs). The first thirty aircraft were fitted with the Pratt & Whitney J57-P-12 engine, but this was replaced with the more powerful -4 version and in all subsequent F-8As. The original thirty were then retrofitted with the -4 as well. This made the F-8A a Mach 1.5 aircraft. Other improvements added during the production run included the addition of a retractable in-flight refueling probe in a blister on the forward left side of the fuselage. This was begun with the fiftieth production aircraft, and retrofitted to the earlier airframes. The original Vought ejection seat was replaced with the Martin Baker F5 seat.

The F-8A was armed with four 20mm canon, thirty-two 2.75-inch rockets in a drawer in the lower fuselage, and two Sidewinder missiles could be carried on fuselage stations. The AN/APG-30 gunsight radar and fire control system was installed for weapons delivery. The first aircraft was accepted for service in December 1956, just four years and three months after the issue of the original requirement by the Navy. It was delivered to VF-32 in March, 1957, with VMF-122 being the first Marine squadron to receive the Crusader. The first carrier deployment was with VF-32 on board the USS Saratoga, (CVA-60).

After being replaced with later versions of the Crusader, the F-8As were relegated to training roles, serving as advanced single-seat trainers. The designation TF-8A was often applied to these aircraft.

Your F-8A has early markings for either VA-32 or VF-122. The rocket armament IS INCLUDED but you will not see the drawer open and close.

This mod has been extensively tested in SF2V.
A read-me file with installation steps and CREDITS included.

    10. In 1951, CAC obtained a licence agreement to build the F-86. It was decided to power the aircraft using a licence-built version of the Rolls-Royce Avon R.A.7. This involved a re-design of the fuselage as the Avon was shorter, wider and lighter than the General Electric J47 that powered the North American-built aircraft. Because of the engine change the type is often referred to as the Avon Sabre. To accommodate the Avon, over 60% of the fuselage was redesigned along with a 25% increase in the size of the air intake. Another major revision was in replacing the F-86F's six machine guns with two 30mm Aden cannons, while other changes were also made to the cockpit and to provide an increased fuel capacity.

The RAAF operated the CA-27 from 1956 to 1971.

In 1958–60, CAC Sabres completed numerous ground attack sorties against communist insurgents in Malaya, during the Malayan Emergency, with No. 3 Squadron RAAF and No. 77 Squadron RAAF. Following the Emergency, they remained in Malaysia at RAAF Butterworth. From August 1964 onwards these aircraft responded several times to incursions by Indonesian MiG-21 fighters. However, the Indonesian aircraft always turned back before crossing the international boundary.

In 1962, a detachment of eight CA-27s, which was later expanded and designated No. 79 Squadron RAAF (79 Sqn), was sent from Butterworth to RAAF Ubon, Ubon, Thailand, to assist the Thai and Laotian governments in actions against communist insurgents. Australia and Thailand were allies of South Vietnam and the United States during the Vietnam War, and 79 Sqn performed air defence for United States Air Force attack and bomber aircraft based at Ubon. The squadron never engaged North Vietnamese aircraft or ground forces and was withdrawn in 1968.

Former RAAF CAC Sabres were operated by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) between 1969 and 1972. Following the establishment of better relations with Indonesia, 23 CAC Sabres were donated to the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) between 1973 and 1975; five of these were former Malaysian aircraft.
