kct Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 So that's the guy that has been lurking on our waters back then. History books and the Internet mentioned "an aircraft carrier", that's all... Quote
+Hinchinbrooke Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 So that's the guy that has been lurking on our waters back then. History books and the Internet mentioned "an aircraft carrier", that's all... Then again, it might have been Victorious!.................... ;) Quote
EricJ Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Psychedelic Aardvark! Whoa.... look at the colors man.... Took the F Vark out for a recce. Quote
kct Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Then again, it might have been Victorious!.................... ;) No one would ever know. In fact, I never even knew that Vulcans were stationed at Butterworth (at least back when it was an RAAF base)! Quote
+Dave Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 Whoa.... look at the colors man.... Took the F Vark out for a recce. As soon as I get off my ass you will be able to do that in an RF-111A. (Yep they built one) Quote
EricJ Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Nice, I saw Syrinx's RAF skin ages ago (okay two to three weeks) and never really looked into the family. Cool man, I try to use the Vark for recce more than a strike role. Then again I like the better responsiveness of the F compared to the A so I may start flying that a bit more. Quote
+Spectre_USA Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 As soon as I get off my ass you will be able to do that in an RF-111A. (Yep they built one) You lie, man! I just went to F-111.net, and then Googled it, and it said "Did you mean EF-111A?", and... >Off camera arm reaches in with scrap o' paper< Oh, er, this just in. One each RF-111A was created, and is currently on static display at Mountain Home AFB, near Boise, ID. >crumple, toss< Cool, man. Would be unique and rare! Never heard about it, and thought I was a `Vark go to guy... Quote
Gr.Viper Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Who will be the one? Actually that's the only time I ever saw Binders in action in any of TW sims. Bloody rare bird. And hardly vulnerable to AIM-9B Quote
Slartibartfast Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 This is getting infuriating these TSR-2 shots popping up... Saw the one they have at Duxford and the thing looks as though its doing Mach 2 stood still... Didnt get any Pics of it though... just think TSR2 would have meant no Tornado...!!! As the Germans where interested in the TSR2 and for its time it was more advanced than the F-111's as well range would have been better faster... Sorry to all the Vark Vreaks out there... and from what the Test Pilot said on the first flight said it handled beautifully also the fact it could outrun a Lightning with only one burner lit whereas the Lightning had both lit... says enough about its acceleration... Forget the Political stuff the jet looked was fantastic... Quote
MaverickMike Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 ribbit, ribbit, ribbit.....BANG! Quote
