+daddyairplanes Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 (edited) you know, one of my ideas that never progressed too far was to have the Lexington take on some TA-4s and Stoofs or Sea Kings for convoy escort duty, as well as a major what if with the above on a Forrestal that actually became a CVT. mandatory screenie (not my work, but a glimpse into the future) Edited January 11, 2023 by daddyairplanes 3 1 Quote

+Gepard Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 (edited) L-39ZA Albatros BTW. The armament with R-3S (AA-2 Atoll) was rather a joke then a real option. The L-39 was to slow to reach the minimum lauch speed of the Atoll. Only in dive the speed could be reached. Thatswhy this armament was tactical nonsense. Edited January 18, 2023 by Gepard 7 1 Quote
Nightshade/PR Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 (edited) Back in the Bad Old Days, attrition was going to be a serious problem for NATO forces, forcing you to sometimes go with what you got for the mission tasking. So let's go kill a Hardened Shelter. This is called the I Lost sight of it: Where The F**k is it???!!!??? maneuver. Lost my wingman who decided to go chasing after a Sam Site....and ran into a nest of ZSU-23's. But the target was hit, and home at last.
