Wrench 9,858 Posted July 23, 2019 Right Then! Here's a new one for everyone. Recreate, in SF2 screenshots, scenes from aviation themed movies. They don't have to be exactly the angle, but cover the same subject(s). Military is mostly what we are looking for, but civilian usage of said aircraft is also allowed. Rules: Can only post once a day, but can have multiple images per post (5 or less is good) Movie must be identified (most of us will probably "get it" anyways!) ANY era is valid - from the Beginning of Flight to the Present Day. So, even FE1/2 screenshots are allowed. As long as they fit within the given parameters. (yes, even Sci-Fi-ish!!) Those NOT fitting will be deleted, after proper examination. So, lets see how creative you all can be!! Wrench

+allenjb42 4,236 Posted August 10, 2019 Kelly's Heroes (1970) Kelly: Well Oddball, what do you think? Oddball: It’s a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers. Big Joe: Hey look, you just keep them Tigers busy and we’ll take care of the rest. Oddball: The only way I got to keep them Tigers busy is to LET THEM SHOOT HOLES IN ME! Crapgame: Hey, Oddball, this is your hour of glory. And you’re chickening out! Oddball: To a New Yorker like you, a hero is some type of weird sandwich, not some nut who takes on three Tigers. Kelly: Nobody’s asking you to be a hero. Oddball: No? Then YOU sit up in that turret baby. Kelly: No, because you’re gonna be up there, baby, and I’ll be right outside showing you which way to go. Oddball: Yeah? Kelly: Yeah. Oddball: Crazy… I mean like, so many positive waves… maybe we can’t lose, you’re on! 5

+allenjb42 4,236 Posted November 1, 2019 Another re-run pulled from the What-If Screenshot Thread - The Final Countdown (1980) Tonight's film is everyone's other favourite F-14 movie.... (Dialogue is courtesy of imdb) Captain Yelland: Alert One this is Eagle One, what've you got? Pilot: Two Japanese Zeroes, sir. Captain Yelland: Two what? Pilot: Two Trophy Class Mitsubishi A6Ms in original condition, complete with all markings. I mean, they look brand new sir! Captain Yelland: Have you been spotted? Pilot: Negative, we're right in the sun at their 6 o'clock high. Captain Yelland: Stay in visual contact, take no action without clearance. Pilot: Wilco Eagle One, out. Captain Yelland: Eagle Control to Alert One, you are clear to arm, but don't fire. Throw them off, play with them, but do not fire. F-14 pilot #1: Affirmative! F-14 pilot #1: Say, Fox... that woke 'em up F-14 pilot #2: Yeah, but I think we should give 'em another shot! [one of the F-14's barely dodges a burst of gunfire from one of the Zeroes] Pilot: Why the hell are we playing with these guys? Captain Yelland: Alert One this is Eagle One, you are clear to fire. Splash the Zeroes. I say again, splash the Zeroes... F-14 pilot #1: Eagle Control, Alert One. Splash two, repeat, splash two. Possibly one survivor in the water.
