  2. you can fake it using painted layers of white and black highlights if you have the templates,I usually add any I make by sharpening a copied layer and adjusting it to simulate bumpmaps. not exact but you get the idea...pic1 before...pic 2 after

  5. Block D shows ok for me in NA ...suggest you redownload the model.. 1st pic sfe2 using NA terrain,other pics actually in SF2NA
  6. Basic aircraft creation or rather,mesh manipulation to eventually turn say,cylinder to fuselage,is easy for those with some knowledge of 3dsmax.even basic knowledge will get you started. Reading or watching tutorials,explaining how to turn the mesh into a certain shape ,and what tools to use(modifiers) and how to use them is advisable,as a shape such as fuselage ,can be made in a few ways... from cylinder, box,(later shaped by manipulating the polys,vertices etc to resemble the reference drawings )..depends on fuselage shape,as to how you start to create it. Tutorials are easy to do,to show how the meshes link etc,animating tutorials are too...For those planning to start modelling,I for one can supply tutorial here on linking parts etc etc...even some basic shape creation. I usually look at the a\c I want to do,then look at the best way using standard base meshes,for speed and less time consuming work.and go from there,planning your route is better so you know what to expect further along,as the model progresses,later on you will discover ways to shortcut what you used in the past,this will come the more you use this programme,3ds max I,havent really the time to do tuts for people who have never tried 3ds max,but tuts out there are plenty on getting to know the tools for basic modelling,and how to use them.

  8. ed...you tried the symmetry modifier...Im using it all the time now...you make 1 half,apply sym mod,and it saves u ages of work...

  11. Got this...plus K started somewhere,was ok in sfp1 but needs skin finished etc and brought to sf2 standard... last pic more detaled...left engine for example...more polys better looking.. in sf2 europe...as you see it needs attention...turret works tho lol

Before world cup started...I had spain to win...that went up shit creek....holland took my eye,and I then after 1st match predicted them to win....Germany are my 2nd choice....if its final of germany v Holland,then Holland to win,they start slow....score one goal then expect more.....even today,when before equalizer,I said to my missus,dutch will fight back,as I said come on holland ,they scored the equalizer....thats it I told her,hope its not penalties as anything can happen,then they got the penalty...game over...come on holland.

  14. Twin engined,tri-cycle landing gears....hmmm what could it be....haroom... tried to find pic similar angle...but shapes thereabouts for me...
  15. Have you got paint.net 4.o ? ...when making decals ensure you have transparent layers for the text etc....when saving as tga,use default setting...works fine
  16. its very easy to do in ps... with this guide,if you have items in ur decals such as a 0 select inside area 1st holding down shift,when you select with wand,then select outer area,still holding shift to select all the backgound areas.you can of course make ay alterations to opacity of your decals,by using opacity slider 1st on layer dropdown on right,before creating the alpha layer.
  17. Looks ok to me...one niggle...its small.(.from day 1).lomac ,FC2 FC3 dcs guys etc love that bloody white chimney smoke....its bloody everywhere,..lawl im sure we need some variety grey black brown etc...I did say it was a small niggle.

  23. Looking at max files ive got....fault lies with actual prop...the blades were named blade1 2 and 3 and not one mesh they link to spinner...propellerB is slowprop propelerC is fast prop or vice versa.. heres some of the files ive got..

CCCCCCatch that pigeon NOW! found this again..lol .also found the Angel Interceptor,...someone asked about it...its half done,on the list too.. :) went thru about 200+ old dvds\cds and found loads of old stuff,thought lost...also threw out half of the discs as they were either crap or corrupt.
