Since installed complete SF2 pack, courtesy of TK....my sound is shit.... I now get a droning hum in background of all planes.....also sounds echo eckoy ecko ee ?..lol...its weird...tried from 8 to 32 channels with stock sounds....not like it was before with my original installs...weird.... gone tinny and seems to phase in and out and sounds like in a large hangar echoing....sounds I used before for the hawk now crash the game....tried 8 to 32 channels still same shyte...god knows whats happened.

Im sticking with SF2 too....flightgear has some good terrains and features,but too long and complcated method of importing a model...think I will stick to what I know lol

one time I had one mesh using 2 textures...what I did was select the polys of mesh used 2nd texture on them and didnt deselect polys...and exported the model did have the polys area still using the 2nd texture...not sure if it still works with the latest exporter tho

check out these amazing airport models....brilliant how they make the models land and take off...very clever.

I dont mind making hi def models if someone who is used to getting them in game does that bit...must say...some of our modders models look far better quality so would benefit flightgear community too Richard...you think,someone new to flightgear would take to doing the data files for models easy?...how long would you say it takes to do the data files for a newly completed 3d model.? cheers need to know if its worth me studying the method of importing models etc.

Can someone sticky this please.? create a 3ds max tips n hints thread I had a pylon that the missile was tilted up on....it wasnt ini related...it was because mesh in 3ds max wasnt correct measurements...this happens if you create a mesh,from say a stock cylinder...of 2m long by 1m dia...and scale it down to say 1m x.25 m and skin it and done....if you dont xform reset it,then it does what my pylon did.....actually it was outerwing that needed resetting....but what I describe about cylinder causes such issues.easy thing to miss when you do hundreds of parts to a model.... I now create meshes for say pistons in place where I first make the basic cylinder shape.then fashion the 2 halves etc....then If I scale it up...I now always xform reset it before animating and rotating\moving it into place...as resetting it when its at odd angles is hard if not impossible some times.
