SF2 Su-7BMK "Fitter-C" Algerian Air Force Skin Pack 8/30/2025 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 4/5 Merged Recommended) Here is a new(ish) skin for the stock 3W Sukhoi Su-7BMK "Fitter-C"", as used by the Algerian Air Force from 1972 thru the late 1980s. The aircraft is painted in Egyptian Nile Style camo, as used when these aircraft were sent to Egypt in 1973, but with the correct style serial number decals. This is a 'rebadging' of the stock 3W skin. Research has NOT turned up any information or pictures of any other paint schemes from when they were first delivered. If you have made this aircraft flyable, and use the "read only main ini trick", you'll have to turn that off after adding this skin, even though this does replace the stock one. See "Installation" for more details. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. The Serial numbers are historically correct for this type of aircraft. You'll have 18 of them. However, while all the numbers are correct, they should be considered Generic in nature, as I could not find which squadron each served in. The skin remain in it's 'as issued' BMP format (3w Rez) When on the Loadout Page, you'll see: Algerian Camo (Nile Style)<1972 This is changed from the original listing on the texture set inis, because of the addition of specific decal randomization text. The actual folder name is QJJCamo. I have included a modified data and loadout ini. The data ini gives the aircraft some "hardening" (via aluminum armor), and the loadout ini adds the drop tank for all missions. I've also included a new pilot figure, "RedAir1". The canopy is also activated, it uses the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero). What I have NOT given you, are the bits and bobs necessary to make it Player Flyable (tm). If you haven't done this, you'll have to root around for the needed cockpit in the CA downloads; it's not very hard to find. However, I have given you repainted gunsight TGAs. They're in a very bright yellow, so as to make it easier to see for us Old Folks (tm). As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! Also, the Notes section has more details on the changes. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein -

You all are forgetting that I've been here in SF since Day 2, and I've pretty much seen it all. I'm one of the Last of the Originals still around. By 2006 TK had done whatever was necessary, as Pasko had released the first HAWKs and Chapparals*. All the Blue SAMs work for me, so I don't know why the OP is having issues. Don't matter if it's a HAWk Nike, Rapier, Bloodhound. It could be how they're set up on the terrain. You CANNOT call them directly in the _targets ini. You have to use generic tags. *it's actually set as Mobil_AAA

WIP Mega THREAD!
Wrench replied to ErikGen's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
One of my most favorite things to do in the entire Universe ..... Since there's no template for the Bis B, have to make one. Simply because I don't like the brown/green camo as used by Syria for Algeria (which apparently used 2 tones of brown). Noted from several photos found the the web. Just LOVE drawing thousands of rivets ---- At least the serials will be right .... -

While we actually do have a number of aircraft for Morocco and Algeria, there is a pretty large gap concerning some of the others. What I'm asking, is there a site someplace that might have their listings?? I've been scouring the web, and while coming up with SOME answers (like the prefix letters used on Algerian birds), still need the number sequences. In particular, Algerian MiG-21s (all models), and their MiG-23s (MF, BN, MS) TIA!!!

View File SF2 F-86F-40 Sabre, EDA (Spain) Skin Pack SF2 F-86F-40 Sabre, EDA Skin Pack 8/2/2025 -For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Recommended) This is a NEW skin for the F-86F-40 Sabre. This is a something of a "salvage operation", as I found this skin/decal set in my archives. It was originally done in 2012, but for reason unremembered, never released! This set represents Spanish Air Force (Ejército del Aire y del Espacio) Sabres of 1 Ala from approx. 1958, when they started receiving the Sabre. You get 18 historically accurate decals; accurate in the fact they served in the EDA, but I was unable to associate them to a specific squadron or wing. So, consider them to be 'generic' in nature. Please note, the fuselage numbers are the early presentation as when first delivered. The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE. The SF2 date switch is NOT used, however the "startdefaultdate=" is set to 1958. Hopefully it works as advertised. On the skin selection menu, on the Loadout Page, you'll see: 1 Ala, 12 Esc As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. As always, give the "Notes" section a quick read for any and all nonsensical ramblings. A small request for information is also down there. :) Happy Landings! You need to work on your Read Me files. In fact, you NEED to INCLUDE them in your uploads. Not only to give the downloader insturctions on installation (and gods help us, there's folks here that need it), but how about giving credits where credits are due to the original modders??? In fact, that goes for all you recent uploads. Site rules are a read me file MUST be included for every upload.
