  1. Hell yeah, I'd read her story. I want to know more about the girl who does, and finds a way. I don't care about political correctness, I want to know the truth. What you've written so far is excellent. It makes me want to know more.
  2. That is one bad@ss aircraft. Love it!
  3. I just installed DCS World from Steam. But now I see that FC3 (which I intend to get sometime soon) is not sale on Steam but it is at ED. Apparently, anything directly from ED is not compatible with Steam installs. Did I make a mistake in installing from Steam? Are discounts more common/deeper at ED than on Steam?

Congrats. Good to hear you were victorious. Welcome back!
  5. This isn't nearly so complicated. This parts sort of snap together like magnets. Some improbable structures actually work and will fly, though you cannot violate the laws of physics too much. Make an unbalanced airplane and it won't fly too well. Still, it's lots of fun watching your own creation go. You can even get (or build) fairly decent facsimiles of historical aircraft. Here's a working Do-24 I made. Here's an RAF Short Tucano I downloaded for free.
  6. Has anyone out there tried the game, "Simple Planes"? I wasn't sure how much I would like it, but now I love it. It's a "sandbox game" where you can construct your own aircraft and then fly it. You can even make vehicles and cars too. It comes with many challenges to test your building skills. There's a massive modding community out there offering planes, terrains, gizmos and everything in between. One of my favorite challenges is "Short Landing" where you must land a plane on the very very very small carrier USS Tiny. Oh, and it has no arrestor gear! So it's a real challenge to get a plane to land on it without any damage. I've been fiddling a lot with this lately. I'm very interested in STOL aircraft and making my own is great fun. Here's a video of a few of my landings with planes of my own design.
  7. Fantastic work, Capitaine!
  8. Don't forget the new skies and environmentsystem.ini from Stary (SARCASM 2.0). Find it here: http://combatace.com/topic/85359-sarcasm-20-beta-by-stary/page-3?do=findComment&comment=700133
  9. Looks Terrific, Baff! That's fine work you're doing.
  10. I've got it. It's SF1 though. Many of the FMs need a lot of work. Their SF2 installs are far better.
  11. This is terrific. I can see you and the other members involved did a ton of work on this. Great job! Bravo Zulu!
  12. Looks awesome. You got my vote!
  13. It's absolutely worth it. I'm totally addicted and loving every minute of it.
  14. I believe Pacific Fleet was Killerfish's first product. It's still only available for mobile devices. The reviews for Pacific Fleet weren't quite as glowing. Apparently Atlantic Fleet received the benefit of a far more matured development. Maybe they can re-release it with the benefit of code from Atlantic Fleet. I have almost no complaints at all with AF, and now I'm quite addicted. Just like with the Thirdwire games, my wife just smiles and shakes her head.
  15. Tried it. So far, Lion always wins. I tried the 50-mission campaign where the missions progressively become more difficult. I finished by taking the Lion and sister ship Temeriere plus carrier Indomitable up against Hutten, sister ship Berlichingen, Bismark, Tirpitz, and two destroyers. All German ships sunk. Lion and Temeriere received medium damage.
  16. Maybe we feel bad about doing it a century later, and try to make them feel better by putting their likeness on a coin and name a sports team after them.
  17. Well that's awesome. Congratulations! There's a link to my blog in my sig. Lots of SciFi flash fiction and other stuff if you're interested.
  18. Sounds like you had fun (except for the toe). So were on a writing panel. Does that mean you're a writer? Have you published anything?
