Aerodom Creil, as could have been in the 1960th. (Parking planes are not yet at their correct positions.) Google Earth gives sat pictures from 1985, which is washed, and then from mid 1990th. So i had to guess which dispersal areas would have been active in the 1960th.

The Battle of the Bzura (or the Battle of Kutno) was the largest Polish counter-attack of the German invasion of Poland and was fought from 9 to 19 September 1939. The battle took place west of Warsaw, near the Bzura River. It began as a Polish counter-offensive, which gained initial success, but the Germans outflanked the Polish forces with a concentrated counter-attack. Finally the Polish forces were completly destroyed.

I'm working on the big french base of Creil. And i found a little problem, when i checked out the base by sat pictures. I If you look to the lower left side you see two buildings, which are forming a SS rune. I don't know, whether it are old buildings from the time of german occupation or the French did not realize what they have built. If i would place this buildings in that shape into the terrain, i would violate german laws.

I have finished now the english airbases and have started the french. I decided to take the bases in France as they are in my BoB2 terrain and give them a 1960th update. Excample: Wissant i added a concrete runway, some taxiways and two dispersal areas with open aircraft shelters. I know it is fiction, but it is difficult to find infos of the layout of french airbases in the 1960th.

Would have changed nothing. The Spitfire Mk.I was unable to save France, why it should have performed better in Poland?
